New best online day for cash, ran ridiculously good and played a solid B/B+ game most of the time. Felt great after being down 1k literally 10 hands into my session. I did play mostly 400/600, I also played a bunch of SCOOP events bricking everything but what can you do

Spoiler:
I suck at tourneys

That being said I have a ton of hands marked during my session, regs putting me in tough spots adjusting to some sizing differences etc. so will have a strong study schedule tomorrow.

Thank you sir!^

I had a big schedule to play but ended up just grinding the two main tournaments along with another SCOOP, not much going to be honest, but I grinded super hard in the main and played as well as I could.

We are 20/39 with $1200 locked up, 36.8k up top. I think, I'll stream this one for tomorrow Day 2 tomorrow at 7.

One time?

Grats on the decent run in the main. It was fun battling with you guys this week! I thought you were one of the only decent regs. Anyway keep up the good work!

Thanks man! Did we play any cash? Kinda feel like I'm relatively incompetent with tournaments, 100bb's are my game.

Played a little cash session for the first time in a bit, got absolutely ravaged (-1500) played my first hand at 500 and got stacked (at least vs a whale )

Kinda rusty but actually feel like I'm starting to get pretty decent at this whole poker thing, just need to learn how to beat the fish and we may have a huge month!!!

SCOOP Overview

Was a pretty long grind and had a little over 5k in buyins but we were able to make a somewhat solid return despite no huge runs in big tournaments. I for the most part ran very poorly when it counted and I can chalk it up to variance, running solid overall but just not winning any flips or 70/30's in important spots. As some of you saw during my main stream, I'm not good at all once stacks get under 30bb and I think a lot of my edge is reduced when I get to this stack size in the tournament.

That being said these kinds of series will be so profitable just because the fields are so soft and a solid majority of tournament pros have no idea what they're doing (I mean this with ).

Unfortunately, my team lost the SCOOP competition on the last day, which was $1,000 to the winning team so not fun leading that all the way and then losing it at the end but obv a big congrats to their team, pretty much everyone on that team was a good player and contributed heavily to the W. Feel a bit bad that we couldn't get Dan Buzgon (overall leader in competition) the win since he pretty much carried us, but that's poker.

Overall, it's nice to get back to the cash grind I was starting to get a bit sick of the tournament grind, shout out to all of you for dealing with the sick variance.

Coaching

Have started this with two lower players, been fun and think is something that keeps me sharp. Definitely fun too and I hope to help some of the guys start to crush and move up the stakes. Will look to add more students after Vegas as well.

Stream

I definitely enjoyed every second of it, I kinda tried it out this month as a test run and I think I will make it a routine going forward. I won't have another one this month so once I return from Vegas I'll get it really cleaned up and have it up as a once a week thing.

One week til Vegas

Starting to get quite pumped for this, I'm headed out the 31st for what looks to be close to a 50 day trek in sin city. I have my girlfriend visiting the 10th so the first 10 or so days will be heavy grinding. I will also get to meet a few of my coaches which I'm excited about as well as they'll be down for the latter half of the series as well. I had, at the time, my best month in Vegas last year and I'm 5x the player now that I was then so hopefully can have a huge month and when I'm back will start really mixing in some higher midstakes.

Few hands to close out as always:

Poker is gonna be pretty limited til Vegas with a ton of errands to do beforehand. I've been hovering around the 10k mark so hopefully I can finish strong to make up for my piss poor volume.

Here's a fun hand for discussion: Against a v good reg . How do you play it, what would you change? I personally would only change one decision point in this hand if I could go back.

Hi guys, yeah gonna be betting AQ more often that not, this is just a frequency play

I'm losing way too much value unfortunately to not bet river, so I think checking back is too nitty to be honest.

Agree that AQs should be a flop bet, I think checking back some Ax FDs on this board makes sense, but I wouldn't do it with this hand, yeah we don't need a whole lot of protection but it's a too strong hand to check imo.

What's up with turn size? I'd believe that we should go much bigger on this card?

River is weird, we can have AJ, not sure if you have many QJ here, so I'd believe this is one of the better hands to call with. Really depends on the villain tho, don't know about very good regs but I guess even at 500z there aren't many players that bluffs like this with that big jam. It's a very interesting hand tho given your turn size and his xc action following that river xr jam.

No one mentioned 4betting pre? Think we are losing a lot of value vs a good reg who 3bets frequently and who I assume has a flat 4bet range here.

He's going to have a lot of Ax as well given my turn sizing

Like I said it's a frequency play, AQhh is mostly a bet here but even PIO has it checking back approx 25% of the time. Not going to get too much into the sizings but I prefer small sizing here with most of my range

Yes, this is what I was thinking after the hand, think the hand has to be a call given blockers, especially if villain is capable of turning KQ/Q10 into bluffs. Talked the hand with some other top players and it created some interesting discussion, I didn't think hearts were very relevant but folding/calling this hand was close in PIO.

I can 4 bet this combo pre but the majority of regs 5b/f to 4 bets and folding AQs sucks so I prefer calling this hand especially against a villain I don't have a ton of history with. I think if he starts to flat 4 bets wider than 4 betting seems a lot more appealing.

With regards to AQhh: Pretty sure the SB should be c-betting that texture quite often so you're straying away from equilibrium quite quickly. Given that I think c-betting is simply higher EV vs essentially everyone and only reason I'd check was if I thought it'd get me more EV than betting.

About 70% cbet frequency on this board IIRC.

Last day of playing for me this month as I'll be busy next two days prepping/having fun before I leave the morning of the 31st. Barring a **** day, I should have my best online cash month which is nice considering my volume was poor.

Also had a pretty great day yesterday, had dinner with my gf and my parents and then I thought I was just heading to my girlfriends place but when I walked in I was lucky enough to have been surprised by a ton of my good friends for a going away party.

All my close friends really stuck by me when I decided to take this avenue, even when I went almost broke many, many, times so it was really nice to feel everybody's support.

Will post monthly results at the end of the night
