I wasn't sure if a PLO would run on wed so I went fishing. I'll likely be down Friday or Saturday evening

As far as I can tell people have been showing up everyday in anticipation of getting a bite out of the whale. It's hurt the 1-3 nl but PLO is stronger than ever. There is a good mix of players in the game. Some like to squeeze with marginal, some never fold, some nit it up till they get a big pair with connected cards or flush cards. I am a bit to splashy at PLO and experience the swings as a result. 9 handed PLO should be played fairly tight I think... Anyone who follows the thread have an input on how deeeep 9 handed PLO should be played?

Skipped out on poker today. Back at it Saturday in Panama City for their 555$ main event. Hoping for 50 but won't be surprised if it gets way less.

Hey man, I've been reading your thread for a while and I really enjoy it.

I posted this in the S. FL forum as well but I feel like you could give a good answer, considering all the traveling you do:

You can definitely do better than 115$ a night. You may not be as close to the Hardrock as you would like, but there are an abundance of hotels in the Fort Lauderdale area. Do I know of a hotel off hand? No, but it's almost May in South Florida and that's considered the off season. Check Hotwire, kayak, trivago, etc and you should find a place. Hell if you're staying almost a week you might as well check Airbedandbreakfast too. Gl and let us know how the trip goes. If I head that way while I'm in town I'd be down to say hi in the poker room.

Interesting stuff absherrj, I plan on relocating back to Tallahassee sometime this summer and expect to be making the trip out to Greta a few times per month.

When are you going to treat yourself and take a trip to the luxurious Immokalee Seminole casino? No tour of Florida poker could be complete without it, maybe pick up a few cases of tomatoes while your down there.

I was in Naples this past Christmas and went to the Fort Meyers / Naples dog track. Now that they have a hotel out there in Immakalee I'm more likely to go check it out. Hard to beat the action in that Naples room though. They were playing 2-5-10 with 20 straddle and then 40 double straddle. According to the bravo app Immakalee rarely gets bigger than 1-2 nl.

I play there regularly on weekends and am taking Thurs/Fri off of work this week as well.

I'll be taking a shot at the 100K guaranteed, probably the 3pm Thursday Day 1. And other than that usually hit up the 6/12 Omaha hi/lo Full Kill cash game.

Crushed it today ladies and gentleman. Won some huge PLO hands all in preflop. Literally the best day I've had at Gretna ever. I had 7k in green chips at one point and have the chip porn to prove it. I'll it post later tonight.

Played another 6 hours today. Action wasn't quite as good as yesterday but it was decent. Plenty of straddles and restraddles booked a 500 win and left pretty early on in the day. Only got to play a couple orbits of PLO.

Back at it today around 130. The 1-3 nl or 1-2 PLO haven't been starting till about 3pm and the 1-2 nl is pretty slow. Hoping to make this a 10k week. It will be my first ever staying in tallahassee and not having to travel.
