So ready to hit the road. Ill be in South Florida 8ish.

Ran well so far. I sat at 2-5 nl around 8pm waiting for 5-10 and turned 625 into 1400. Took that to 5-10 and cashed in for 3350.
One helarious bluff at 2-5 i pulled.
I raised a straddle pot to 35 in late position after the blinds completed with K8 of. Straddler otb called and bb called. Flop T 7 3 two spades. Checks to me i bet 55, button min raises, bb folds, i min raise back and he folds.
One of the bigger pots I won at 2-5 went as follows.
Folds to late position makes it 20, button calls, i reraise to 80 with QQ and late position raiser shoves with about 325 button folded i called. He has TT and I hold.

5-10 is where it got a little more interesting. The first hand I got involved in I got completly out of line but managed to get the guy to fold. Heres the hand. 1400 in front and everyone at table covers.
Im in the bb and utg straddles to 25, mid posish calls 25, folds to me, i complete 5h6h, straddler makes it 150, limper folds i call. Flop 4hTdAc, i check straddler bets 100, i call. Turn 4s, i check he bets 200, i raise to 550 and he folds. Idk what im repping in this hand. I hat e the way I played it in hind sight.

Then came the biggest pot of the night. Def the most interesting prefop situation I was presented with. 1700 in front. Only a couple orbits in so hardly any reads.
Early position limper, middle position guy opened to 60, i 3bet to 160 with QdQh, folds to limper who calls, middle position reraises to 425, i call, limper calls. J84 all diamonds. Limper checks, middle postion bets 500, i shove with QdQh, limper folds, raiser calls with JJ. Diamond on the turn. River bricks. I swoop. Cashed out shortly after.

Gonna play the 1650 'purple chip' bounty tomorrow.

I bought a piece of some guy in that bounty (I believe he is of indian descent) so dont play at him

I ended up not playing. It was a 6max and ive got little to no experience for 6max mtt's. I went back on friday and the guys who made day 2 of the 1650 were all really good players. Harrison Gribble, Victor Fuego, Farrid Jatton, and Joey Weissman to name a few.

No I didnt play the main. Although I did stop at coconut creek and watch for a bit. My poker trip was derailed once I got up with my dad. Im back in Tally now. Next poker trip in March. Stay tuned

My gf is leaving town Wed - Sat. Undecided as to where I'm going to play. I may head west to Panama City Beach, Pensacola area as these are two places i've yet to play and interested in the crowd that frequent them. Ill update when I decide for sure.

Decided to stay local this trip. Thursday I will head to Jacksonville for a 270$ satellite into the BestBet WPT main event. Friday I will check out Panama City Beach Poker room known as Ebro. I hear good things. Look forward to updating as I haven't been doing much lately.

Went to Jacksonville last night. Played 5-5 plo instead of the satellite that was only giving away 2 seats. The plo game was pretty good. Tons of action. One kid bought in for 7k off the bat. Another guy kept reloading to 1k after he was stacked multiple times. I managed to get it in with Jd9d8d9c on a 5c6d7d flop and held against nut flush draw and a shorter stack player who chopped the smaller pot with me. He had 89TJ.

The plan for tonight is to hit either Gretna if they get their 2-5 nl game running or a plo game running. If they don't get one of those running then Ill go to Ebro to check out the action there.

Running well lately? Yes. Run well last night? No.

I was playing an uneventful 1-2 nl until the 2-5 nl uncapped opened. I bought in for 700 and was running the stack up until I hit a bump in the road against a shorty with about 270 in front. I had opened AcKc in early position after one limper, the bb then 3 bets to 65, the limper calls, and I 4! to 200, the bb shoves, and the limper folds. I call and he shows the the AA after a A8723 board runout. No biggie.

Then I continue to run my stack up to about 550 when I find 99 in the bb of a button straddled pot. The board AKK9. He shows AK. Shrugging it off. I was due for a loss.

This saturday I will be playing a 20k guarantee event at the nearest card room to me. Its known as Creek Entertainment and every month they do a 250$ 10k guarantee, but for some reason the guarantee is 20k this month. I have scraped together enough rakeback at the venue to pay for 3/5ths my buyin. The tournament is heavily raked as it is a 200+50+20addon, but due to double the guarantee and knowing more about the type of players that frequent the room im confident that theres enough value there to play it.

Played cash before the tourney and made 350ish so I was freerolling the tournament.
The tournament had a great turnout. 187 players for a total prize pool around 37k and the payouts were real top heavy. Over 10k to first. Ran well, got off to a huge chip lead in the middle stages of the tournament. Feel pretty bad about my final table play in one hand specifically. Got 8th for 1608. Ill post some hands a bit later.

Headed to Jacksonville BestBet and possibly down to Daytona Beach Kennel Club this weekend. Looking to play 2-5 nl, 5-5 nl, or 5-5 plo. Should be some big hands to report.

Hey guys, I had a near break even trip. It was a tale of two different games. The 5-5 PLO was a bad idea. I got it in twice, once in 3 way pot with the nut flush draw against two people with trips and bricked. Then I got it in with top two on a draw heavy board and got run down by a flush draw with gut shot straight draw. It was ugly.
The no limit holdem was great. I found a cozy seat and stayed in it for almost 12 hours. I managed to run 800 into 4500!!! Unfortunately I was trying to get unstuck and ended up only cashing out 3600 but it was still a great run none the less.

Contemplating between playing Jacksonville's 340$ 100k guarantee or Ebro Panama City's $550 series Main Event this weekend. Since it's derby weekend everywhere with simulcast should have great games.

Latest trip report from the sunshine state was in a small cardroom called Creek Entertainment in Gretna FL. I arrived around 3pm on a saturday and found a bunch of 1-2 nl capped at 200 and then two players playing 2-5 Big O mandatory button straddle 10! They both had north of 5k on the table and said can we switch the game to PLO with the same blinds. They were happy to make the change to get new blood in the game.

I got in for 960 and since we changed the game everyone agreed they could take chips off the table but they each kept north of 2k in play. We played short handed for quite some time. One of the players id describe as competent and the other was more of a gambler. Most of the pots were being raised by the button and the gambler was doing a considerable amount of 3 betting preflop.

At one point the game got up to 5 players. Most other players were short buying for 200 and one got in for 1000. I had run my stack up to 2200 after winning a big pot off the gambler by value betting top set on a QT7A3 board. I also busted a player that had come in for 200, tripled up, and then got TT8Qss in against my 4567 on a 489ss flop. We ran it twice and I made my straight both times.

Good trip. It feels great when you can drive a short distance and find one of the uncapped games running at Gretna. May make another trip there this weekend

Finally checked out the venue known as Ebro. The place is a piece of work. Apparently I took the long way by taking I-10 instead of taking SR-20. Anyways I got in a very deep stacked 1-2 nl uncapped. The action was great. Definitely going to make that trip again.

Headed on a rather large poker trip to sunny south florida. Spoiler alert is that I will be playing 5-10 nl at the Isle and Hardrock. Curious who the lineup consists of during the wsop. I know that the past couple times I've played down there some of the high limit tournament players were in the game so I know they won't be there. I leave Thursday planning on driving back Sunday and playing the 550$ wsop main event satellite guaranteeing 3 seats. Ill update more when I have more details.

Plan is set in stone. I leave tomorrow via flight to atlanta and then on to Fort Lauderdale. I'm staying at the SHR and will be playing there at night and in the mornings at the Isle. The pots will be big, the cbets will be frequent, and I hope I manage to come back in the black. Stay tuned.
