Dramatic title I know but unfortunately it's true. At 26 my life is at that stage where I feel like if I don't sort it out now then I never will. I've always struggled with discipline and that is mostly the reason for creating an account and this thread. I'm hoping that have some sort of accountability, however small, will keep me on the path I need to make money and turn around my pretty dire financial situation. My debts are only a few thousand at the moment which is obviously relatively low compared to some on this forum but my partner wants to move out of home soon which we obviously can't do without a deposit and I feel like I've ended up blowing quite a bit in a recent downswing playing too high for what my bankroll can withstand. Now is the time to turn it around and it starts with poker but includes everything from finances to health to work.

I have been struggling a lot for motivation recently with the downswing and other hobbies taking up a lot of my time. I primarily play HUSNGs with some 6 max games or MTTs thrown in for good mix. I will not be revealing the site I play on yet but it's not Pokerstars (**** them). The games are fairly soft on the site I play on but it has quite a lot of issues so there's pros and cons I guess. On June 12th I took out a payday loan for £300 to deposit, which is now £900. I get paid from work tomorrow which covers rent/car/money I owe my parents/food etc and leaves me with probably ~£1k disposable income per month afterwards. It's a lot, but I've got a few thousand in debts as mentioned, need to get the gf birthday presents, pay for a holiday she wants to go on and replenish the £2k in savings she thinks I have (yikes).

I'm currently grinding the £20 HUSNGs so I have a fairly healthy bankroll for the games I'm playing. I have about £1.6k in loans that need paying off ASAP, which I plan to probably pay half off with my salary and the rest with poker, but we'll see if I haven't gone mental and lost the roll by that point!

I plan on updating daily and my goals are as follows:

[ ] 500 games per week
[ ] 8% ROI
[ ] Don't play high stakes
[ ] No more than 1 takeaway lunch and dinner per week
[ ] Exercise 3 times per week
[ ] Secure permanent job (I contract at the moment - due to end in a few months)

As I mentioned, this is mostly for me and the motivation/discipline I will hopefully gain.

Be straightish with her tell her u saving hard for a bit so gotta chill on the holiday an prezzies ! Plus she could be gone in 2 years but unfortenately the debts dont go with em !
