An unExpected Value Journey An unExpected Value Journey

Hey everybody. I know online poker in the US has seen it's better days, but I decided to post on here with a personal goal/challenge of my own.

I'm currently 31 years old, have a wife and 2 kids. I am a firefighter by profession though so I have a lot of free time to play on my off days, and also at work .
My first instinct was to not post on here and allocate my spare time to studying and play. That being said I believe in studying success stories and it seems many great players spent time on here and it has positively impacted their game.
The reason I'm posting is to get to know some people in the poker community...or what's left of it, and to keep myself accountable.
I'll be posting a graph every Sunday and Possibly posting hands and my thoughts on other days as I go.
I'd like to start with cash games and possibly transistion to MTTs when I run out of options moving up, as I live in the US(hopefully I have this problem).

This journey will be about testing myself as a human and testing preconceived notions about todays poker ecosystem. I think the average person greatly underestimates their potential. I am no better than anyone else and if anything have been underconfident over the years. But I do believe that we hold ourselves back with imaginary road blocks.
I heard that track athletes once believed it impossible to break the 4 minute mile. They used to believe that the feat would cause your heart to explode in your chest or some crazy ****.

Well...this will be me trying to break the 4:00 mark. I don't know what will happen. But I'm not going to give up easily.

Poker Goals:

What do I want from poker?

- Test myself and succeed in a tough and competitive environment.
- Provide some level of financial freedom while doing something I love.
- Prove to (family/friends that doubted me either to my face or otherwise) that I am capable of more.

Macro goals:

- Be a winning player on ACR reg 6max or Ignition reg/zone 6max (50 NL) by 9/1/20.
- Log/track 200,000 hands on ACR and/or Ignition poker by 9/1/20.
- Eat a semi-healthy diet
- exercise everyday even while grinding.

Micro goals:

- play 20,000 hands of poker by the end of this month at 10NL on either ACR or Ign
- Post twice a week in this thread to update on my results, share interesting hands I've played, or to bounce things off you guys.
- Study 2-3 hours a day this month exluding Sundays.
- Play 3-4 hours a day this month.
- Update with weekly goals.

Wish me luck...and HERE WE GO!
