I feel it’s too nitty to fold given price but feel I’m only good on diamond flops, QQx, 477,4T2 etc.. Is it simply a case of playing fit or fold?

Just call and stack'em when hit. Or limp behind if blinds are crazy and 3bet normal sizing. Ez game!

Depends. I'd say anything under 100 BI is underrolled, but I think you can take small shots when 50-60 BI.

Flicked in a quick 2h session vs great players

With 30h of grind (and few h of study time), this was the biggest volume I've put in a long time! At least since moving to Philippines. And it was quite easy with my new sched! Just gotta wake up early and magic happens.

Also, I'm pretty sure this was my biggest winning week ever wheeee (1.8k eur while still 300 below EV).

Gonna fo to an island tomorrow for 2 nights. Time to enjoy beach and few beers!

And I think I should upgrade my grind station.. that chair has started killing me

Man you can't imagine how big of a hassle that was. I went to Ayala that evening thinking that there should be a store where I can find one. Wrong. Took a detaur on my way home to stop at a branch of furniture store that someone suggested to me - closed for reconstruction. Fk me, almost 8pm, so gave up.

Fast forward to today. At 1pm decided to try again, this time to the main branch of that furniture store. Spent 1h trying to get Grab/Angkas ride. Then 30-40 min one way ride. Store was open, found a perfect chair, guy said it's even 30% discount and just 3k php or so (50 eur). Snap call. He leaves to get it.. Too good to be true - comes back with a college and tells me that I can't actually buy it here - I have order it first so they can buy (?) it from another branch of theirs and it takes 3-5 days to deliver. Right now I'm just thinking 'are you ****ing kidding me'. They said I can get it today in that other brach (in nowhere, over 1h drive in google map). It's quite a traffick too, so **** that. There's a mall with SM hypermarket 25 min walk away. Walk there. Find few in hypermarket. All are quite meh but I'm not going home empty handed. Okay, I choose one (80 eur), guy says that demo chair chair is the last one left and it has scratch marks etc.. Buy it nevertheless. He dismantled it in front of me and put in improvised box, all good. Now, try to book Grab (Uber of Philippines).. Try for 15 min, can't find a driver. Going outside to get a reg taxi - there's a fkn huge line at taxi stand.. spent maybe 45 min in that.. I'm so tilted from all this wasted time.

tl;dr - wasted way too much time and effort to buy a ****ty office chair.

Thanks! Well, future looks brighter than ever

Had a cool trip to an island in the beginning of this week. Best island I've been to, totally off the grid. Almost no tourists. No western restaurants, fast foods, no white trash - really unspoiled! I went with a lady friend, and we rented a scooter as usual. Travelled around the island and everyone was staring at me, kids waving at me and shouting 'Hi' from all over. Was fun!

Spoiler:
Did cliff diving for the first time of my life

Hard to beat this

Got home Tuesday night with a plan to grind Wed-Sun. Didn't happen. Instead fought with really bad food poisioning all night and next day.. like REALLY bad. And I'm not even sure from what.. had McDonalds as my previous meal. Only today I feel that I can eat normally again. Therefore I only got in 3 days worth of volume this week. Still won more than I could hope for.

Thanks! You're missing out - 4 cards is so much more fun than 2 cards I don't play live, been in casino twice in my life to play donkaments. I'm curious to try live cash tho

Let me know if you give it a shot, I can set you up with people who set up the PLO games in manila. Looks like some insane action.

I would love to learn the game, need to read this from the beginning to see how you did it.

Ahh, I don't live in Manila anymore - moved to Cebu and it's much nicer here. Any contacts for homegames here?

Yeah Panglao was disappointing for me, way too much of a tourist place. But then again, there are people who are looking just for that.

Internet is good enough most of the time. Gotta have some backup tho, 4G on mobile does the job just fine.

    December

    Actual hand count is ~20k

+8.5k hands on another site for ~1k eur profit (ran a bunch below EV)
+2k hands on app for maybe 40 eur profit (Probably around EV)
Played ~95h, so didn't reach my 100h target. But I finally did some study time, even set up PPT on this laptop.

So December I made profit of 3.3k EUR, which I'm very happy about. Even tho I dropped over 1k in last 2 days I played. Basically got murdered HU in the worst possible way vs a single whale each of those days, but different sites. Fortunately that massacre happened at PLO50 tables. Really felt I was playing vs superuser lol.

I played a lot of HUPLO in the 2nd part of the month. I really enjoy the format, but I have so many leaks there. But I will get better and **** everyone up who dares to play me. Also, it's mentally tough to battle someone for 2 hours, get destroyed, and then adjust to different opponent who sits you right after previous guy quits you. I feel I start just autopilot clicking and play too passive in general.

I spent ~1.2k eur last month (1/2 going to the rent ), so added 2k to my BR.

    2018

    I'll just post plain results.

+900 eur from apps (500 eur my share)
    +1k the other site.

I estimate I played around 450k hands of the Great Game.

Note, that I was playing staked till September, but I received like 75% of profit.

Anyway, made ~24k eur profit in 2018 (maybe 20k for myself?), which is by far the best year for me. Doesn't sound much for most of you, but that's quite a lot where I come from. And finally I'm out of the 'rat race' and can build up on that.

I'm feeling somewhat depressed right now from IRL stuff, so I'll write up a review of 2018 and set up goals for 2019 later, maybe in 2 weeks when my mind is clear.

    Cheers!

You kind of need a sufficiant bankroll in order to move up, but I'll keep that in mind, thanks
