My Situation

Hello everybody! My name is Ian and I’m a 27 year old from Vancouver Canada. About a year ago I was laid off from my job at a scrap metal company at which point I decided to start taking this poker thing a little bit more seriously. When I’m not playing poker I like playing other games with friends, particularly social deduction games like mafia and resistance.

My Poker Story

My dad introduced me to poker from a young age when i would often play for fun with him and his friends. Although I sadly missed the boom of online poker, i started playing online a couple years ago with varying success. By the time i was laid off from my job, i was probably close to break even from playing poker (mostly playing 0.15/0.30 games). That day when i arrived home after having lost my job, I went online and proceeded to win over $200. That month I proceeded to go on a heater winning $1500 at online poker and I decided that poker was something that i should focus on for a while rather than look for new work. Since then i’ve moved up in stakes with success to 0.25/0.50 and without success to 0.5/1.

Why I want to join CFP?

That all sounds pretty good, but the fact of the matter is that I am still not really any good. I know that I have huge leaks in my game and despite having consumed a ton of video content over the last year, I still struggle to fix a lot of these weaknesses. I hope that CFP offers me that push that i need to get to the next level and beyond. I look forward to keeping everybody updated with the results of my training through the BPC 6 max program.
