I'm still alive, I'm still playing, I'm still in a downswing, I'm still getting bad beats, I'm still sane, really
Just busted out on the final table with my QQ vs TT, guess the river card...

New month, new run!
I'm still running bad, but managed to end 4th in the first tourney of the month.
According to EV calc, I should have had twice the chip count of the first in this tournament.
I'll be there when the tables are turned luckwise, and I will be their nightmare!
Ship it!

I was doing so good in the biggest tourney I play inside my bankroll.
Its prize pool had doubled up for the Sunday game...
I went on the top spot for 3-4 hours, and f****d up right after the bubble burst.

I shoved pre vs an UTG min raise with my KQs.
The villain had KK and I got no help from the board.

The worst thing is that I've made this mistake before...

Good thing is, I will never do it again.

Won about €100, but could have gotten to the first place for €3.500.
An expensive lesson for me...

Today I became the bubble boi at yet another tourney, but managed to cash in on the next one. Yay! Back to back daily win is back!
I feel it comin'! €112
And it was a bad beat -which was kind of close, my 77 got killed by QJo.

OK, back to back to back!
Not particularly lucky nor patient in the final table, still I'm happy to ship the €60 home.

Finally, after 2 months, first place!
Hope this €700 marks the end of my latest bad run

I played good, but I was also pretty lucky this time (payback for my previous bad beats I'd like to think )

And I did this while Twitching at my channel.

Got to the final table again on the second tournament of the day!
Got busted out at #7 having my pocket 33 sucked out by Q2o (KK885 board).
I was short on the SB and BB easily called me. Both correct plays IMHO.

Still, we ship home €170!

I should just have sat on my hands and waited after that bubble burst!
Anyway, shipped this ~€200 home

Going deep, then almost mincashing by losing flips and bad beats.
I'm OK with it, I didn't play bad, the tables will turn SOMETIME!

[X] Find a fold! Monthly VPIP% < 30.
I've noticed that I'm too eager to play poker and play more hands than necessary, causing me to move from a LAG style to a fishy one. Therefore I'm now aiming to not play hands, and find a reason to fold preflop for the hands I'm dealt.
Scott Clement's main strategy is to "wait there and let someone hand him their chips", so I'll be following it this month.
Lucky for me, the site I'm currently playing in has a slower blind structure, which will allow me to hang around and wait for the monkeys to hand me the bananas, instead of me handing them my balls.

Training:
[X] Log in 60 hours of poker training this month (reading books, articles, watching videos, hand history reviews, reading previously taken notes, listening to podcasts)
[ ] Read Excelling at NLHE Book

Personal Life Goals:
[ ] Lose 5 more kilograms -take 4!
! Failed the 4th time, well it was vacation time...

Taking Shots:
[ ] Enter some of the weekend bigs, if you are showing a profit of over €500 this month.

Incomiiiiiiiiing!
Things didn't go my way in June & July pokerwise.
I showed a net loss of €2.000.
This was closer to -€3.000, but I was able to get some of it back.

However, I have managed to learn from my mistakes and found out that I was doing it wrong in terms of studying.
I was trying to read/watch/listen any poker related material on any topic.

Instead, from now on I'll be focusing on only one subject to improve on and study on it through multiple resources. This focused approach seems to work on other areas of life, so why not in poker?
We'll see...

* Big congrats to me for hitting all my training goals this month. I've completed over 45 hours of training this month.

Gameplay:
[X] Play only in €5,5 - €11 tourneys
[ ] One shot at €22 biggie allowed per week

* Didn't profit. Removed a site from my play list due to small player base and reg infestation. Also too much rake for too fast tournaments. Gonna be doing better next month.

Personal Life Goals:
[ ] Lose 5 more kilograms -take 5!
* I failed again, but I started to swim again. So I'll hopefully be doing better in this area next month too.

Go for it!

Behold!
Long time no see, but PokeRock is still here you see

Life is strange, yet beautiful guys.
I had a life changing event happen to me a few months ago. Then I couldn't concentrate on playing anymore -the timeline is parallel to the beginning of what I thought was a downswing.

And at some point I decided to stop playing regularly.
I still kept on coaching my students, and played the odd tournament, but nothing regular.

The reason?
Spoiler:
I'm immigrating to Canada with my family!

Once I get there at the end of this month, I'll become an unemployed dad, not a corporate executive. Therefore my goals and priorities with life and poker has to change.

I'm actually considering to set up a YouTube channel and vlog on life and challenges in Canada, self improvement and the education of a poker player, all combined with my entertaining anchormanship And ofcourse Twitching while playing...

What do you say guys?
I'm actually planning to become the next Canadian poker superstar, can we make it?

Cheers!

PS: @Vai123 you are correct. PS doesn't allow access from Turkey. Yet I could play there since I was already living abroad.
