So this is simply going to be my log of an epic return to the poker community here at the end of 2019, leading into 2020 and beyond!!
A little backstory if you will....
Grew up in South Jersey about 40 minutes south of AC and currently living here in Vegas.
Im your typical 42 years old, straight single white dude whom found his actual calling in life as a fulltime Youth Sports Official specializing in all levels of travel baseball.
I wont get rich doing this but yes Im happy and it more then covers all of my expenses while still offering a ton of downtime which ultimately brought me back to the game of poker.
Being a former Fulltime pre Black Friday online grinder whom made the majority of my $ in this game playing & propping in low stakes limit games with a few larger sites I "worked" for along with various rakeback deals on the major sites.
Basically I was a break even / small loser in those games but 100-150% rakeback more then made up for that and allowed me to grind out a very nice income for myself each month.
Then the unthinkable occured.....
After a couple years away from the game, a failed four year relationship, then ultimately refinding myself mentally I decided to get back into poker again.
Part time this time around yet obviously treating it as an additional source of income therefore taking it 100% seriously and still acting as if it is my sole source of income...
With all this being said I began researching Bravo at the end of last summer and found a small local room spreading $.50/$1.00NLH with a 10% up to $3 + a $2 promo drop for a max $5 rake...
Being a part time endevour I decided to put $300 aside for this game which is obviously not a bankroll for this stake but it was a 3 buyin start with the ability to replenish if needed...
I finally decided on 9/15/19 that I had enough time contemplating my return and headed down to get in the game...
First session back I played 7 hours and fortunately booked a solid profit of $120 which really got the ball rolling for me....
Since that faitful day on 9/15/19 I have managed to log a total of 118 hours in this $.50/$1.00NLH for a pretty descent profit of $1210.00 for an hourly of $10.25 or 10.25bbs per hour.
Along with that I've managed to score an additional $285 in promo $ via several high hands, hot seats, etc.
This brings my current total profit to $1495.00 over 118 hours spent in the game & raising my actual hourly to a somewhat respectable $12.67 per....
Sooo where do we go from here?
Well I decided to give myself a Christmas present and returned my initial $300 investment back to my "life roll" leaving the entire $1495 profit as a 15 buyin bankroll to keep grinding away in this game thru at least the first half of 2020...
15 buyins is obv still not enough but this is live and I can replenish if or when necessary but for now I am 100% freerolling this game.

Ive been around the game for 30 of my 42 years on this planet so tbh this is my thread to discuss the progress on my current endevour.
Starting with $300, turning it into $1795, payin myself back $300 and ultimately "Freerolling" $1495 into???
I never enjoyed online poker.
Really only did it for the huge rakeback in the limit games, but also spent plenty of time grinding microlimit nlh online cash games & frankly they suck in comparison to the live cash game action.
Not a tournament player either, although have had descent success there when I do take shots.
Anyway thanks but no thanks on the unsolicited advice.
