Hey. I've played nlhe since the golden years 2005. I was playing full time until 2013, that's when I realized the games were too tough for me to make an easy living. Since then I've been studying and right now I'm writing my bachelor thesis in economics. I've still been playing poker as part time player but on much smaller stakes then before but I started to feel it's not really worth it. I didn't have any motivation and just didn't win so much as I wanted.

But couple weeks ago a friend convinced me to try play PLO and I got stuck first minutes. So much more fun and player pool seems much more soft, it means it might still be some money to get from this. Hopefully.. My plan is to spend about 100 hours studying the game/playing every month until I start work after my master degree.(2 years from now) Will post some hands and graphs here. I will start on micro stakes on swedish site.

If you live in Stockholm Cosmopol is the ****, people are basicly trying to give away theyr money. Stakes are kind of ''high'' though 25/25 with a 50 straddle at times, would need a roll of atleast 125k SEK and preferably above 200k because of the variance. Anyone with two brain halves that work decently can make money in these games.

Gl aswell, plo is indeed still very soft.

I reckon I've played maximum 10k PLO hands during my lifetime so I'm pretty sure I don't beat /25 at the casino yeah I'm from Stockholm so I've been there many times and mostly played the /25 and /50 NLHE games so I know wht you are talking about . How about you? You play there regulary?

Here is my result since I started this project one week ago. 10 sek = about 1 euro so stakes are equivalent with /0.05, /0.10 and /0.20€. Hope to climb kinda fast but yeah I'm running very good as you can see for my first hands I've played super tight and solid to get a grip of the game, next step is to make my open range more wide and start 3bet more when I feel more comfortable..

Played 1500 hands today. Summing up the month with a graph in big blinds. My goal for april is to play minimum 30k hands. How many hands do I need for knowing wheter I'm beating the stakes I'm playing or not? I know this a super small sample that might be just pure variance

Anyone with two connected brain halves can easily beat midstakes at svenska spel, seriously people hate money lol. And I promise you that without knowing too much about your game and just with the knowledge that you seem to have a solid poker background you could beat /25 at CC aswell. PLO has a permanent value in that it attracts gamblers, that really have no ****ing clue about what they are doing. They play all kinds of ****ty hands and they will easily get it in superbad with some kind of non nut gutshot and a J high flushdraw. Literally just having decent hand starting knowledge is a winning concept in some games lol. However once again the variance has no mercy you could drop a **** ton of BI in a no time att all doing nothing wrong, myself I'm kind of playing with fire using 75.000SEK from my online roll trying to run it up lol.

Enough with my ramblings about how everyone sucks here is a GREAT article series about PLO focusing on lower stakes and all of the key concepts in PLO.

This weekend I'm going to the countryside so will probably not play so much. Just came home from a long walk in the city today which was very nice since the spring just started here. If anyone are interested to see how the life looks like over here I might post some photos. Starting with a pic from todays walk

I'm back from the countryside and had a sick day at the poker tables. First I won nothing for 4 hours, then I won every single hand for half an hour and became breakeven. Graph in big blinds. I guess I have to get used to these kinda swings in plo?
