I'm iStruckGold and i'm looking to start a challenge over here to keep myself motivated. I've been struggling with keeping up the volume lately, mainly because of burn out. Running like dog s**t lately doesn't help either

I've been playing SNGs for many years, always alternating between Stars and 888. Below are the games i've played since mid-april, after moving part of my bankroll to 888. Volume wise, it's ok, considering i was grinding stars too at that point.



I've only been playing $5 and $10 Turbos, both Full Ring and 6-max.

Short term goals are as follows:
1. Play minimum 90 games/day. (i know it's not mind blowing volume but the amount of SNGs running at 888 is not that great atm)
2. Maintain over 8% ROI
3. Update this thread daily if it raises interest

Day 1 update:

Complete shitshow. Managed to play 100 games. I should be changing my strategy to getting it in with any two as it might yield better results. Losing tons of flips, shoving a ton into opponent's top range, losing when I was ahead, losing when i was behind Typically, just one of those days... The bad run continues, hopefully tomorrow it's gonna turn around..

Day 2 update:

My brain hurts
90/90 games played, money lost, dreams = shattered.
Lots of setups, lots of badbeats, lots of sick spots. It sucks being on the wrong side of variance, but, on the bright side, no money = no problems

Hang in there. This happens all the time. I don't know what experience you have, but in terms of numbers even if you are crushing the STTs for 5% to 10%, they can easily go in the other direction of -10% in the first couple of 1k games.

I know, I know. I have a couple hundred thousand sngs played lifetime. I'm just making fun of it. Lifetime, i'm huge amounts of buy ins under EV, so no biggie

Day 3 update:

90/90 games played. Really happy with how things are going volume wise. Will up the number of games played/day in the near future.

Still running pretty bad at the tables. Lost count of how many times opponents limp called and flopped trips/sets today vs my premium hands. Lots of setups and bad beats on the bubble, blah blah blah same old story

hey there, I used to grind a bit SNGs on 888 before the software update,but yeah - the possible volume is mad low and I kind of got rid of mixing 6/9 reg/turbo all together.

Played 1k 3$ turbos and came out with 0.55% ROI,
900 games of 3$ reg with 6.5% ROI
all while having a 20% over all stts/mtts(17k games) at ~5$ ABI. So yeah, variance can be bitchyy <3 best wishes

Tbh, i enjoy all types of SNG so I really like mixing 6-max and FR, Turbos with Reg speeds. This also helps me not getting bored during the sessions. I'm already grinding for ~6h/day for 90sngs. It's already a good volume for non-hyper sngs . Soon i'll start adding $20 games to my sessions too, so playing around 100-120 games/day in those 6hours won't be an issue.

Day 4 update:

91/90 games played

Same **** over and over again. I have no clue how many times opponents can make massive mistakes and get rewarded with miracle flops or runouts. Losing most of the flips, losing a ton when i'm getting it in ahead. All in all, great start of the month... 40-45BI under EV in 370 games. Epic...

I know the feeling. Try hitting 80BI under EV and you start believing you are cursed. Of course, it's all nonsense but it is funny, like you said.

Lifetime, i'm hundreds BI under EV. Btw, ever heard of a sng reg that runs over EV over a big sample?

Day 5 Update:

90/90 games played.

EV going up, green line going down. I must have triggered some sort of ancient curse upon my account. Things looking rough atm. cEV graph looks horror. I might have won a hand or two here and there...
