Been running pretty gross last few days. Have cut a few sessions short and stopped regging early because of it.
Makeups getting big and I guess i'd rather cut the day short then play tilted.

I won't worry about volume this month, going to spend lots of time studying instead and get ready for a big 2014.

Played a daytime session today starting at 7am instead of the usual 1am. I think i'm gonna do it more often from now on.

Saw this movie lastnight. At 2 and a half hours it's a pretty long one, but not once did I think it was dragging on like most 2hr+ movies.
Eyes glued to the screen and your ass on the edge of it's seat the whole time. Snap top ten movies I've ever seen.

Today has been a nightmare. Cutting the session WAY short because the poker gods just seem to be trying to fark with my head... it's been a suckout and cooler frenzy
My mental game isn't good enough yet to just keep regging and have no emotions after hours of bad beats, especially on a Sunday when it's so easy to lose a tonne of money. I don't necessarily start spewing or make tilted plays, but I do get in a really ****ty mood. It's obviously bad to cut sessions short because of run bad, but atm I feel better doing that then playing on in the wrong frame of mind.
Bought the 2nd mental game book on the kindle the other day, will give that a read before the year ends.

So my first year playing poker for a living has come to an end. Sux to go on a bit of a downer this last month, was hoping to crack 40k for the year, but ah well.

I'm pretty happy with the year. I won/FT'd some good tournaments that a year ago I never would've thought to be possible. I can still remember living with my old room mate in the middle of 2012, depositing $25-$100 every few weeks and playing really small stakes stuff, and still losing. I'd "take shots" at the $8 500 caps and skip the big $16.50 because it was "too high stakes and I'd never win it". To win it twice since then has meant a lot to me.
Player of Series in the 1st ANZOPS was a personal highlight of the year and winning the ticket/getting to play in a 2k liveament was a great experience that I look forward to doing more of in 2014.

I joined "thepokerbackers" at the start of the year and am still with them now.
I started off playing up to $33 fo, $11r and $11 turbos. I now play up to $55 fo, $11r, 22c and $33 turbos, plus Sunday Kickoff, Milly, and all the good stuff up to $66 on 888, aswell as the $109 on there each day if i'm feelin it.
I've built a lot of trust with the guys and they've been great with letting me add tournaments to my schedule and take shots during series. They've set me up with buffyslayer for coaching which is going awesome, and I feel overall they've helped me build a really good foundation in poker this year, which is going to help me destroy 2014.

All that said, I think I could've improved on volume this year, and set/followed through with more goals. It's easy to get lazy playing poker for a job, and even easier to skip days/sleep in/start sessions late etc. So I want to improve on all of these for 2014.

Thanks to everyone who followed and read throughout the year. Hopefully it wasn't too boring
Will def be doing another thread for the new year and am certain there will be bigger and better things to follow!
