Hello everyone,

I have been an occasional lurker here on the forums, but never really got around to being very active. Anyway, my current level of skills I would say is ok, but not great. To give a better idea of where I'm at, i will give a general summary of my results on bovada over the past year or two. I dabbled around playing all types of holdem variations such as MTTs, hyper sit-n-gos, and of course cash games. For cash I played mainly full ring at the beginning and eventually got more interested in 6-max as it involves playing a wider range of hands. I didn't log my results with any software, but I can confidently say that I played at least 25k hands in that time playing cash(10nl-50nl..mainly 25nl though) and probably 200+ MTTs ($5buy in-$15 buy in). Over that time all I can say is I ended up cashing out a touch more than I bought in for total. There was multiple buy-ins/cash outs as I gained and lost interest in the game.

Anyways, on to the main point here. I think when I make my next semi serious run with poker, I'd like to really approach it in a professional way. This is not to be confused with the idea that I want to go pro. I am aware poker is very tough and as the player pool shrinks, so does the amount of players who profit, let alone make a decent income from the game. My goal is to play and really develope strong fundamentals both pre-flop and post-flop. I don't want to be playing and continuously find myself in situations where I am just completely lost. Lost as in I ham unable to narrow down my opponents range and therefore not knowing if I should be betting on certain boards, streets, bet sizes, etc.

What I would like to receive from this post is perhaps some less generalized answers as to how to go about fine tuning (or learning) the fundamentals of my game. I'm hoping that by what's been written, a few of you can get a feel for what it is I'm looking to do here.

If any of you feel you have some valuable insight to pass along and are willing to share, I would be very grateful. If anyone else is in a similar spot as me, I am open to forming a small discussion group to track progress and share ideas as well. Anyone interested in responding please feel free to respond on this thread or you can email me directly at graymondpoker@gmail.com

Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing back!
