Going on from my original thread about help for going on tilt, which lead me to Blackrain79s website. Where I found his free material so good I ended up getting his book "Crushing the Microstakes".

As soon as I read the first couple pages I knew even though I have been playing poker for years there I had alot to learn.

My goal/challenge is, now that this book has completely turned my game around from a small winner to breakeven to absolutely smashing it every session so far, albeit still a very small sample but it's looking good. So I have created this challenge for myself to keep a record and for anyone that is interested in following someone right from the gritty bottom try to move on up through the stakes.

Following from Blackrains book I also got a book called "Easy Game" which again has completely shown me numerous different angles to this game, including hand value, equity, fold equity, the works. These 2 books are priceless to me right now.

Anyway lets get down to the good stuff, in this first post I have attached my graph so far, at around 10,000 hands which lies the yellow star is around the time I read Blackrains book, you can see the results from reading this book pretty much instantly. In the next couple posts I will add my daily sessions, and how they look, and each post after I shall post my graph from each active session with what this does to my totals graph. If anyone has any input whatsoever, even if it's constructive critism then please post away. But nothing about small hand samples, I know this already and I can't magic a 500k hand sample in 1 day, hence why I created this challenge for myself.

Pretty much, my daily chart I posted for the 10th April was my first session I played after finishing the book completely.

Couple days since I posted as went to play live poker over the weekend at 50p/50p table, noticed the regs straight away, and we kind of respected each other when in hands, throughtout the night various fish sat down from drunks to gamblers and I ended up running my £50 buy in up to £119, not bad considering I had a couple of bad beats, one I remember was pocket kings, managed to convince a fish to get it all in preflop with QT, which he did, flop was 2QT, no king came and lost to 2 pair.

Red chips are £5, pink are £1 and green is 50p.



as for my online poker, was so tired getting back from the casino as it's a 3 hour drive away, I slept for a very long time when I go home. Anyway, I've played for quite some time throughout this night just over 2000hands so far, I upped it from 4-6 tables to 12 tables, I actually prefer this purely so I don't see my bad beats as table ninja removes the table to bottom stack as soon as another table requires action.

It's really quite exciting, I mean I knew how to play poker fairly well. But when I read these book it's like it unlocked a whole different section of my brain, and watching the result pour in consistently (at the moment) is very satisfying, as anyone who makes money using poker could probably relate to

I am using 30 buyins as my bankroll to move up stakes, so at $150 I will move to 5nl, not long at this rate, hopefully. (I deposited $13/£10 and current bankroll in PS sits at $113.57)

I wonder where you notice the most obvious difficulty level increase, is it much difference between 2nl and 5nl?

Are there still fish/atm machine at 100nl?

Would love to see a video of you playing. Could you record a session (like 15-20 minutes) and post on youtube ?

The HUD is called Jivaro, I use it when playing 10+ tables because it's so easy to take a glance and see what type of player your against. It's a $9.99 monthly payment, but I shall stop it end of this month in favour of HEM2 hud. As no point having both.

I didn't notice a huge jump in difficulty difference between any level. Each limit just gets slightly more difficult. I've heard the jump is huge between 200nl zoom and 500nl zoom but I can't comment, because I've never played 500z.



Yes, there are still fish at 100nl and higher. Games just simply wouldn't run if there weren't

Had couple days off to finish some books and just watch more videos as I moved from 9max to 6max, it took some more adjusting than I thought. Anyway once adjusted after a dodgy start, I took to it quite well, first session pretty good for 6 max, However from around 300 hands I was just card dead, and few hands I got, I was either outplayed or simply finished with the worst hand. Still up at the end of the day so all good.
