It's called averaging.

It does work so long as the company isn't rotten and you have patience and not overly exposed.

what he's doing isn't dollar cost averaging...he is trading emotionally chasing loses. There is no strategy with what he's doing.

He is on margin with his entire portfolio on 2-3 stocks. If that isn't risk I don't know what is.

the 2 don't have to be mutually exclusive.

of course..but Ray isn't thinking that when he's buying in. He's just trying to make up for earlier losses.

That stock is on a downward spiral and he wants back in?

I already have the jitters for Thursday.

TRNX has until 2nd week of May to regain compliance w $1, so 4/11 ER is crucial.

Past recent history...r/s after r/s. They continue to add drops of water to the bottom of our all your fine condiments. They dilute w the best of best.

All of this is why they cannot afford any bad news Thursday. It wd b over for them. Last straw. If they were to announce another r/s Thursday they wd lose all confidence w sh. It wd bleed fast.

It all makes me nervous. But we still may load up more. perhaps we sell all NIO buy more TRNX early in week. Go balls to wall for Thursday. #wegamble

Wow, you rebought trnx aka magnagas. Way too red flags on that stock man, I see an upside with nio which is why I bought about 10k to hold long term. But good luck to you by Thurs earnings report.

Floor looks good, I like natural as well... not popular opinion though.

Just gonna b n TRNX for short term then back to all-n on NIO.

Thanks on floors. We got unfinished red oak hardwood. After it’s laid, gonna sand the whole main floor. The old (already stained) hardwood down to natural and the new. After that, gonna stain everything a new color.

Oh, u guys remember the vlog w the loft being built. It came down yesterday. It was slept in 0 times in 2 years.

Room 3 will b completed today. 1 more to go. Adding value to the house makes up for some losses, right?

But but but I got a job. Actually 2 of them.

Poker where I’m making $5.94/hr currently. That number will b x4 by end of year.

Laying floor is my second job. If I was to hire someone it wd b $4-$5 per square foot. So roughly $4500. Money saved is money earned.

This week will be deciding. I feel if we win the week in both poker and stocks, then we will get a lot better footing in this current journey.

I agree.

You don't make a (significant) profit on home improvements/renovations. Not when your family is living in it.

Probably not (and definitely not for any significant number of hours) unless you allocate yourself a sufficient bankroll to take it seriously and put in some grind.

Putting in significant hours long term in live poker is mission impossible.

ENPH back over $10 again. Could’ve made some decent money off them over the last several months.

Lost $70 in the game today
Over the weekend: bought groceries, paid a water/sewage bill, got pizza n beer, $100ish misc.

Down to $700 life roll.

We can get $250 more after we finish this 4th and final room.

That floor looks really nice man, and I think that's what's so frustrating. You're so skilled at so many things. Considering your low cost of living, you could comfortably make a really good living doing so many different things...teaching tennis, playing live poker, being a handyman. Things that so many people can't do and that give you a ton of freedom and autonomy. But you're so obsessed with playing the stock market because one time two years ago you hit a lotto ticket. Considering the taxes you paid, are you even up lifetime on stock trading? Just because you want something doesn't mean you'll get it, especially when it comes to -ev plays.

I agree, the floors look great. Post some of those pictures online in the facebook marketplace or something and make some money doing more jobs like that.

+1 on the floors, and definitely post on FB if you want to pick up extra work, the "Buy, Sell, Trade" groups are great for this, people are posting odd jobs all the time.
