index funds / ETFs are sitting and waiting for aces at an action table. OP's investment strategy is three betting every suited triple gapper he gets dealt trying to flop gin

Well said partner.

Anyone see FCELís move the last week.
Was at .43 around Thursday of last week, and now .93 today. Thatís more than a double. Those are what Iím looking for.
*we bought this at .93 6 months ish ago and it dropped ever since. Ended up selling

BS, did you get out of MNGA/TRNX? New stock symbol, same lead balloon stock. It's actually quite amazing b/c TRNX is almost at cash/share on the balance sheet and well below liquidation value. The new CEO (Scott Mahoney) has f'd this up at nearly every turn but if you look at his track record with JayHawk Energy, it's not completely surprising.

Yeesh, down another 13.5% today so far. Said he was holding it for another week... not sure if that was last week. Hopefully BS cut his loses. Also there is so little volume... very odd.

LNG (and alternatives) and oil in general is a tough space to be in currently (q4 2018 was horrendous).

...sooo this has to be the bottom, right? A company with a lot of cash, little debt and over $20m in revenue. Unless the CEO & Board are criminals, this should be a price to buy/time to bounce.

That was then...Now we are in the “end of the world territory”.

Had to surrender and put in the stop/loss. They got me good!

When things go south w the stocks we focus more on the pokerz. That’s what we will b doing.

*All Bonsais died. Put too much miracle grow on them and burned them up pretty gd.

I feel pretty upset w none of my stock shots working out, but those r the chances we took. Gonna hv to nit it up some and build it back somehow.

I feel like the Bonsai's are a metaphor for your recent stock run-bad. Listen, overall these past few years, you're still up a decent chunk. Day trading penny stocks is risky biz; huge upside potential also offers equally brutal to the downside. GL building that roll back up. We'll be rooting for ya.

Hey, on the bright side, at least you got out when you did... MNGA still seems to be free falling with no end in sight.

Re: STARTED WITH A $1/$2nl CHALLENGE, NOW WE'RE HERE.

Yahoo finance (which usually sucks) is suggesting that MNGA in April of '12 was $25,200 compared to to the $0.85 (after all the 10/1 splits). Meaning if you invested $100,000 in MNGA in April of '12 you would have $3.73 today. Is this a yahoo glitch or is that real?

I was just thinking that putting your entire portfolio into one high-risk volatile penny stock seems VERY nitty

Tournaments: -$1,830 74hrs
Overall: $42,582 on 1,214 total hours

2016
Attempted to go the whole month of March without talking. Lasted 8 days when I slipped and said, "Oh ****" while playing rummy with my daughter. No Talk March, #NTM, oddly led me into trading stocks where I started w $40k and ran it down to $20k and then back up. We toyed around trading on the daily, and learning the stock game.
*Didn't put in a lot of hours on the poker table and ended the year $21,759.

2017
$40K Challenge: Attempt 2.
Try to make $40k playing 1/2nl only.
The challenge got cut short on August 22nd when I received a lifetime ban from all Harrahís properties for vlogging on premises. At that time, I was on pace to achieve this challenge.
Sold my Melody 5 plex. Put that money, and poker money on a penny stock that made me some serious cash. Use that to pay off my mortgage.
Ban was eventually uplifted.

2018.
No debt. No mortgage.
Monthly expenses have been lowered, and trying to live a semi retired life. But w little money leftover it feels Iím still trying to survive.
Money has been strapped ever since paying Uncle Sam 5 figs for profits on ENPH stock and capital gains of Melody, but we hv kept our head above water.
Didnít track any poker this year.

2019
Got a heloc loan $70k (10k Sara and 60k me).
From that, we put $58k into the market and risked all on a couple high volatile stocks. $2k in the poker/life roll.
THE GOAL: end w total of $100k from pokerz and the stocks by the time we pay off heloc Feb of 2020.
#semiretired life hasnít work out too great. We in debt again. Well, kind of...borrowing money from Saraís heloc...who in fact owes me $110k (her remaining half on house) for when I paid off our house in 2017.
Yeah itís weird...and confusing.

Itís hard! But then I dont really know any of you so that helps. I think it wd b harder if I was discussing these major downturns to family and friends.
In fact, u are the only ones that know whatís going on. I donít discuss this stuff in too much detail to the wife and never bring it up w my close friends. Iím carrying this $30k loss (in 3 weeks) on my own and w the cyber 2+2 crew.

At the poker table, Iím the quiet one win Iím not winning.

Current update.
I think we have a 2019 goal now. We talked about it, but never made it oífish.

The last week of stock. Everything that could go wrong went wrong.

Just like our RH investment, this pic will be updated as well every Fri or Sat.

*Nio will be featured on 60mins Sunday night. Why did I ever leave her? Greed thatís why. The need for more.
