A big part of me wouldn’t mind if it drop under 6, so I can double up my stake. That’s kind of why I wasn’t too worried about ER. Gd positions either way.

NIO has burned though 3 Billion in cash in the first half of this year.

Why in the world would you want to be all in on that?

If you believe in it put 5% of you cash on it. There are thousands of stocks and the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay liquid. Find a few other bets to halp spread the risk. Should not be that hard to find a company if your criteria is that the burn a billion a quarter and show a net loss.

Man this is playing with fire, the stocks you trade with can do a 5% swing in a day easy...
RH Gold gets a little confusing. Let me try to break it down.
$started w 50k, rest is margin.

This pic shows exactly $102,238.86 of margin available to me.

I hv grown the $50k into $58k currently.

Yesterday when I typed “$90k currently on NIO, 50k mine rest margin”. I shd hv stated, I have made $10kish off this stock, so really $60k (not 50k)mine, 30k margin.

That’s where u got $115k... $10k too much.
Actually have $102,238 margin.

They lost $ on each car they sold. This stuff is normal w companies in the early stages.
I am not a fan of diversification. If I believe strongly in one thing, I’d rather put all my money there. I’m not looking for 3% gain, I’m looking for 50%.
The risk is losing a big chunk, but we will always hv an ongoing plan of action.

Sold all NIO at $7. Made $10K ish while I held it. Gonna get back in hopefully at a lower cost.

Here we go, ultimate sweat. Hadn’t had this much money on a stock since ENPH! Everything sold to be out on ROKU. $145k worth. Lfg

I like the stock stuff but I am def in the group of buying a reliable 10-12k car instead of another POS that will just give you headache.

Lost $20k in 2 days. Was around $65k and it dropped fast w a bad ROKU trade. Chased bottom and it kept on dropping...for 2 days.

*An interested buyer looked at my truck and passed before even test driving it. Lol

This was a hard one to post, but #Fulltransparency.

Ouch, my palms are sweating just reading through the trading posts. It's your money and you've already acknowledged your are basically gambling and are willing to take extreme risk. Nobody should be telling you what to do with your own money. Any plans to adjust your risk profile if the downswing continues? Hope to see you bounce back asap!

Damn dude... that's what happens if you are caught in a downswing. Did you cover your margin?

I've been in this situation at least 10 times in my life. You should process the loss and step away from everything for 2 weeks. The game will always be there man.

Processing the loss is important because your next decision shouldn't be related to feeling stuck. This recent downswing is relatively big so it will be around for two weeks at least.

Man has balls got to give him that!

I'll start following this thread again (I could've made an ass ton had I stayed in ENPH with you last year even though I still made some shillings with ya).

You don't use any Technical Analysis in your picks right?
If you want input from that angle to supplement your fundamentals let me know (there were clear red flags for staying in cash and/or outright shorting ROKU this week) just let me know....otherwise I will follow closely and bet massive when my TA lines up with your research. LEGGO

and speaking of ENPH...have small hope this massive bearish set-up will play out....haven't shorted it yet but a daily close Monday under that Blue arrow on the right I will take a small short.

Let ROKU bounce around down here for another 4 weeks and I'll let you know if a low risk buy spot presents itself.

There will b plans along the way. I def can’t afford to lose this money. My goal is still the same. Pay back the $60k to Sara, and make enough for a ev car. All hopefully before eo2109.
Keep crushing PA. I enjoy ur west coast snaps. One question for ya. How do u stay motivated when running long distance?

True. I hv big wins and big losses. This $20k in 2 day downswing reminded me of the day I lost $20k on ENPH. The more I get use to these swings the better I can deal. crazy how in just a few days, we can go up $15k to down $5k. I am comparing it to the handful of times I played 10/20 & 25/50nl games.

Yes I covered margin by selling $20K worth of stock.

Let it be clear, I am not afraid to go after “it”.

It sucks, but I’m back on the horse Monday. If any opportunity presents itself, I’ll be in it to win it.
Processing is key. Agree. Can’t compound mistakes ever. I made a bad trade, bad read, but I’m going to do keep trying to do right.
I believe. #BetOnMe?

I gather as much info as possible before I make a trade. Sometimes I hv to b quick to fire. I like looking at charts, reading links gather from StockTwits, hearing analysts’ opinion on Seeking Alpha. Although, I play w a ton of risk,I’m searching for value and trying my best to maximize profits. While some like riding the momentum of performing stocks, Ima a sucker for those beaten down ones.
Glad u made money on ENPH, but like u see (-$5k overall) I’m no expert.

That’s kind of plan. I despise selling for a loss, but it’s also a scary game. Especially when it keeps on dropping. I am anticipating a rebound is coming late Monday into Tuesday and Wed. Gonna slowly b selling and moving the money around.

Staying even keel during both high and lows is key to success. My mood has been fine but must admit it’s always there in my head...losing 20k in 2 days...knocking...knocking...knocking.

Went to see my daughter and niece perform last night in Wiz of Oz Play, and it’s these type of moments that f me up. Big part of me is super stoked to see them on stage, but continuously knocking. Knocking knocking knocking.
Trying to stay sane.

I’m around 70% we can achieve the payback, and hv the $ for new EV all before eo2019.
I’m around 5% we can achieve the payback, and hv the $ for new EV, play WSOP 2019 Main event, all BEFORE July 2019.

Dude the way you are picking stocks is totally random...I know, I used to day trade. Charts and all that are total bs..it's the market sentiment of the day. better to check the Nasdaq and S&P 500, Dow indices.

well you covered your margin so you have less buying power now. I would do a swing trade approach, I reckon the FANGS will bounce up 5-10% within the year end Go long.
