Your preflop raise size is to small...for like 5 reasons....should be 45 or 50

So now that we screwed the pooch preflop how do we proceed? ...ya once you get it to heads up and then screw yourself again by under repping ur hand...

your stuck making a call against this V and expect to lose a good percentage of the time since we were 5ways to the flop and u have 1 pair

As played you are bluff catching with a strong hand.

Would he turn AQ into a bluff? or check down river?

I think your equity may be too strong to fold, but good bet on his part.

What is he repping? Not really any missed draws, so basically only AK/AQ/AJ, maybe 66, or an A3 or A5 that got there.

His limp range leans more towards 66, A3, A5, plus a ton of other hands you beat. I think it's close.

Since this is a poker thread...

Bought Quad Kings $1k high hand for $800.
Only 2 tables and 15 mins to go. I think we r getting it in gd here. Considering this has been the only hh qualifier (aaa1010) in 3 hours (w 1 table).

We hold. Because of our deal, we come out in the black +$114.

I folded thinking I’m only beating bluffs. I didn’t see to many bluffs he cd have on this board.
He shows me proudly slamming J10 to the table.

With a player like that, I'd have a tough time folding getting 8-3.

Are they really floating $70 on the flop with a gutter?

In position vs less than a half pot sizing I’m not folding in his shoes especially with a bdfd (wouldn’t be there pre though).

I don’t think your avg live player that limp/calls this spot pre is folding, let alone the player you describe as highest vpip at the table.

If has 3 set and a couple 2 pair combos he doesn’t have to find many bluffs in order to make calling good in your shoes

The limp/call pre could be some A6/3/5 suited hands, and 56 mostly suited maybe a couple off suit combos given how you've described him, and obv 6's and maybe 3's, but 5's are doubtful. That's the value you're worried about. If he has 47 or 24, i guess good job him.

Doubtful he has AJ. Doubtful he has AK/AQ. He could be clicking buttons with A10, A9., or turning a PP that didn't set into a bluff and hoping you have KK/QQ/1010. Not to mention the KQ, K10, Q10 bluffs that had gutshot and backdoor possibilities on the flop. Add in your random 2 card bluffs and the fact that you've underrepped your hand and i think it's a clear call.

The real turning point is one BS pointed out on the turn. If you bet and he goes all out on his bluff and shoves, that's a tough decision and i probably lean fold. But when you decide to check, especially against this type of opponent, you are checking to underrep and keep his bluffs range wider so you can snipe it off.

IMO you can't check the turn and then fold this river.

@Me2theEV u make sm gd points. It was super close river decision. Prob min in the tank. The plan was to ch/call rivers but it just didn’t feel right. Mayb the sizing or his demeanor, but thought I was making a gd fold. Ugh.

Today was solid on all fronts.

Poker: +$663
Market: +$10k ish.

We went from FCEL, to CGC, to now NIO.

Congrats on both fronts. Have you thought about giving yourself a larger poker bankroll for shot taking?

Ty. Yes I have.
I trying to do it the ole grinding way. From the 1/2nl bottom.

We at $2300 ish now, but hv some life bills coming soon. $500-$600 (my half) property taxes due within a week, and the refrigerator is completely empty ($150ish), cell phone due ($150). After all of that, we will b back to $1400 ish.

Grinding more. Played everyday this week. We hv people here that don’t believe in me. I am trying to make them all believers.
We gonna run this $ up. We gonna pay back the $60k. We gonna select a nice new autonomous vehicle. All of it will get done.

Maybe go with a $5k roll since monthly life expenses come from it. The low roll, after paying off the house, seemed to cause some unnecessary stress. Just a thought.
