Not limping with 46s to flop 2p put 25% of our 40bb stack in then fold to his wide range with outs to the nuts...

Ok also agree 100%, just confirming you’re not saying bet all/in on the turn before the check raise as I feel that’s a situation where you’re too likely to get s fold.

Interesting spot (1/2nl)...Shd hv bet more otr?

Effective stacks. $300
Called a $10 raise in ep w 55 versus a winning/somewhat tight reg in mp who been limping all mediocres and only raising premes.
HJ, butn, myself call.

4 way/ pot $40
flop: 5QJ
I check w 100% check raising intentions. Btw, it’s pure sex when that window card matches ur pp!
Dayum Checks through.

Turn 8
I bet $25, and original pre raiser mins it up to $50.
Folded to me and make the call.

HU/ Pot $140
River is 9
At this point I really don’t think I hv to best hand against this V. It feels really set over setty to me. On the flip, this river is my best card to turn my hand into a bluff and win the pot. I feel gd he doesn’t hv flush, nor straight.
I go w the vbet bluff of $80.
He tanks forever as I small talk w my neighbor during this hand (felt the little nonchalant convo wd help me).
Tank tank tank
Tank tank tank
... and he calls w 88.
888>555

I think my river bet shd be $100-$120 size instead of vbb $80 (against this V) if i wanna rep the straight or flush.

I have no idea what your range is ott, but I doubt you're getting a set to fold to a 1/2 pot bet otr, even on this runout. Not sure why you felt like it was "set over setty" (besides results) or why you would want to turn a hand with that much showdown into a bluff. Is bottom set one of the worst hands you could have in this spot? Personally, I'd rather turn a hand like QJ into a bluff

After he mins me up ott, I felt well maybe he slow played a set otf too. Didn’t think it was 88 tho. This tight player been limping all 9 10 (straight) type hands pre, so it felt setty.
Fact is, he not the type to raise ott w flush draw, so I wanna rep it otr. I felt it was my only way to win. And if I pin him on a set, this river brings in oesd too.
I know I hv a set, but still thought I didn’t hv sdv. Against other players, may just check/fold here.
As played, wd u all call w 88 here?

Throwing my 2 cents in. Before I even read the results I have villain squarely on 88. On the flop with that board, he's betting all QQ, JJ, flush draws, straight draws (you get the idea). A hand like 88 is absolutely checking flop. I lead this flop 100 percent with your set; it's draw heavy and you get value from so many draws and Qx and Jx hands.

As for your river play, I don't hate it, but I think we have enough showdown to save some money and get out only losing 60 instead of 140. But if you are betting river, it's gotta be pot.

of course. wouldn't be thrilled, but against a lot of live players I'm still beating their value range. and the price is too good to fold a hand close to the top of range

think about it this way: you don't think V can have a flush or straight based on how he plays. so 88 is basically the best hand he can have here. If you get V to fold his nuttiest hand then you're sitting with a printing press. In live poker (or in general) people don't fold the best hand they can show up with

One two players rarely fold sets. Almost never for less than a pot sized bet. I don’t think this is a good spot to bluff. If you are going to bluff I think you have to shove.

I agree. Even the best players have trouble folding sets. You'll often hear them say nice hand as they are calling or the classic speech, "I know you have me beat", while they're calling.

Wouldn’t having QJ here just block way too many of the hands were trying to get from though?

Executive decision to go 22" width on fringe opposed to pga measurements of 33".
33" on a smaller size green like mine, looks way out of proportion.
Improvising.

Now that the hype has settled down, I wish I had more than $140 to invest. Mayb inshd get a loan for this? Lol

Yup.

The "bubble" more or less burst in Q1, along with people selling off gains and a lot of regulatory changes.

It's as low as it's been in a while, so definitely a good time to get in.

Lot's of big ideas and big news on the horizon so I think we're poised for another mini-run at least.

This is the best thing for crypto. These prices allows more investors to get in the game. With that will come growth. Still not a big fan of it, but am a fan of making money. Great entry point.
