Wish I cd do Tuesdays also, but RTA.

These types of promos usually nit up action, but $20/hr added bonus over 8 hours makes it hard to fault. I’ll too, prob b a little tighter taking less variance routes.

Saw that and was wondering myself. Definitely let us know if it's true, and if you get paid as soon as you complete the 8 hour requirement. May force me to come down and play at Cincy a few days this month.

**Also heard the players down there are worse than Cbus, so intrigued a bit.

First time hearing that...Columbus players are way worse than Cincinnati players.

Lol. Dabs will change your life. I have friends who are career blunt smokers and swear they have seen it all. But once I fire up that rig and they take their first dab their whole face changes lol

Keep grinding Rayz. I feel u on the semi retired life. But remember , It’s gonna take hard work and lots of it to get a Tesla. Plus u play NL which is has fewer and fewer clueless players. Plus ur gonna have to play higher than 1/3, since even in your best year u made around $40k.

Just be realistic. U need to be working on your game if u truly want a chance to have a sustained retirement and a Tesla. It sounds weird, but now is the time to be putting in the most work. NL is getting HARDER EVERYDAY, and u don’t seem like u want to learn PLO or mixed games. The only option in a field that is drying up is to be putting in more work than your peers to stay ahead.

Regardless, good luck in life!!!!

Been playing NL for 20 years now, it’s exactly the same as it’s always been except there were more players for a few years back in the boom. Be in the right mind set, pick the right table and avoid tilt. There is no studying, either you have card sense or you don’t. There will always be underground games filled with people who make a lot of money from their jobs who want to gamble.

Been here for 38 years(Midwest)smoked it all. Everyone grows indoors now, the medical on west coast and most places in the US has limits on their THC levels. But everyone has their own opinions and we’re not going to change each other’s minds

^^ CO has been the leader these past 4 years but nowadays, we're probably splitting hairs where the top producers are just under 30% THC.

Thanks man. Appreciate the encouragement. Best of luck right back at cha.

When it comes, it comes. No hurry. Imho I feel I can save $2k a month without even trying. At that rate, Tesla comes in 25 months.
Now if I wanted to work harder and come out of #semiretirement life , I cd save 3k month. Have Tesla in 16 months.

Just flowing and living in zen. It was been awesome. Not fretting anything. I know each month it gonna continue to pile up. 2k, then 4K, 6, 8, 10...50k. The putting green, the wedding ring, then car. It will all definitely happen. 100.

I'm certainly no expert, but you can definitely learn more about the game by studying and through experience. Of course, imo it only takes you so far. Studying can take you from a marginal loser to marginal winner, but not to a great player. Learning pot odds, draw odds, etc, is something you can learn more quickly by studying than by experience. Of course feel only comes with hours and hours of play. This is all pretty obvious though, right?

I played last night and the games were fairly nitty as you had several people at every table only playing for the promo. I didn't play long enough to get the promo as I have a day job, but from what I understand is that you can pick up your $160 the following day and have a week to pick it up, so it would appear that you can not sit for 8 hours and immediately pick up the money and have to actually come back to get it.

I wouldn't take that as fact, but that is what I gathered from the dealers talking, but since I did not qualify for the promo I did not investigate further. If you are traveling in you may want to verify first before making the drive though if you don't plan to be back within the week.

I am implying that if you studied, maybe in 20 years of play you would have moved up from 1/2..."Pro"

Games haven't been the best during the weekday afternoons. If you're making a trip, I'd suggest later in the month instead when they have the $300/half hr high hands. Should be much better action.

Live in Lexington, closest casino is 1 hour half away. My career and family is here. So the best games are 1-3 NL underground here with a straddle to 10$ and average stack on the table of 500$ or more, plays deeper than most 2-5 games. When I do go to casino I play Plo 1-2-5 which anyone will tell you plays pretty damn deep. So it’s not like I have much choice......

But you still haven’t told me how you your self studies.

I'm aware of how PLO plays considering I'm a plo player. Wouldnt consider 1/2/5 "deep" but bigger than holdem ofcourse. Mostly study just by reviewing hand histories etc on forum, although I dont play holdem cash anymore so I dont study that at all, studying is more beneficial for tournaments but if you don't study for holdem cash you're definitely gonna fall behind quickly...I've also read some of your hand analysis on here and think it wouldnt hurt you to try it. Always good to see more opinions and ways of looking at hands. Cheers!

Haven’t given a hand analysis in over a year half, so you’ll have to show me what you disagree with. The whole study thing will always be debatable as I do not study and im a winning player, Ray I believe doesn’t study either and he crushes, so it goes back to me saying you either have card sense or you don’t. You can’t teach instincts and the ability to read people, I believe that comes from putting in years on the felt.

Edit: I don’t play tourneys hardly at all and agree with you that studying tourney play is a benefiting factor I’d imagine

I wd agree that staying fresh by reviewing your sessions and keeping in the know of what’s going on/trending w the poker knowledge is key.
On the flip, I hv always said on here that some of the best players are born w the ability. U either hv it or u don’t. A LOT of things can’t b taught.
