Agree with above poster there’s no difference when married. Your girlfriend will still be the same person and it sounds like she WANTS to contribute her half.

I know when my girl friend had our babies and couldn’t work or contribute for a few months it crushed her. And when she got back to work it made her a “better” person.

My point is. A good woman will still be a good woman and will want to contribute, with or without your last name.

Oh, and she kept my last name from our previous marriage 18years ago.
So nice, I’m gonna marry her twice.

Dear Diary
,
Met T while playing tennis at Central Park. He had a lot to say during points, in between points, and throughout the match. I wd chat w him during changeovers.
This eccentric bird has been on the streets for 6 months, but he seemed pretty happy. He rides his bicycle throughout the city w a positive spiritual attitude and quaint smell of bottom shelf boos.
I wanted to help w a few $ and some encouraging words before I left. Perhaps he will grab another 1/2pint, but at least he knew someone cared.
20 mins later...
Walk into the house and open my mail. Unbeknownst me, 2 very surprise checks for $25. Apparently, an overpay at Dr. office.

Maybe it’s gd karma. Maybe not?

Anyhow, respect everyone.

3 things going forward.

1). Since we don’t hv a bank account anymore, pics of cash will be my #fulltransparency.
*This is until we open a new account.
Right now as of 4/22 #moneywall sits at $1,945

2). We already paid our share of Spring Taxes, daycare rest of year, and an ounce of kush.
No big bills shd b coming our way until home owners insurance in Summer.
I’m starting to see the light...now time for the run up to #Model3

3). I’m gonna honor my #ShotTake mission each month.
What is Shot take Mission?
We auto save $1k for $bills/entertainment.
We auto save $1k for #moneywall to Tesla.
Anything OVER ($2k) we shot take the following month.
For ex, we earn $2750 playing poker in April. After we take the $2k out we have $750 on a shot take. Something like a Tourney, 5/10nl, or whatever 2+2 comes up w.

For this month...Gonna shot take whatever we have extra on top of our $2k. Right now $1945.

lost $800 1/2/5, and current life roll now $1140.

Every since Feb, it’s been a struggle. Once more, my back is up against the wall. Need a break through.

When did you pay off the mortgage?

What was the interest rate?

It seems crazy to me that YOU would decide to pay off the mortgage instead of investing the money and paying it off with interest, dividends and/or principle.

Did you get rid of all your checking accounts recently? If so, why?

Do you think it was smart to lose $800 when you only have $1900?

Was a huge gamble and one not worth the risk imo to pay that 3k upfront when it was more than half his roll just to save a few hundo long term. You said since February its been a struggle Ray, you were just starting to get out of it and get a little cushion to your roll which is why i dont know why you leaned the way you did with paying that upfront now. Maybe the last session was just runbad and i know you've been doing this a long time but you also know a huge key in playing your best is to have enough in reserves so money doesn't affect you at the table and you're also aware of variance. All that said what's done is done, Ray grind your a** off and start building your roll again, GL!

Try not to.
With $427 current life roll it’s time to start thinking about options.!

I’ll explain where the monies went later.

For now, it’s time to put it all on the line in a poker game. #weGamble

*April did not make enough to shot take w extra monies. We desperately try again in May.

Never smart to lose. Wish I cd win every time. It’s been a bumpy year, but I know it will eventually get better. Staying the course.

@callygal the whole roll is on the table today.

All the money on the line. Everything bit of it. Just trying to get to better days. Hanging the f on. I am cool, calm, collected.

Me w the $400 stack 3bets 78 ip from $7-$30. Jeb Bush’s poor man ($400 stack) cold calls 2 seats to my left, followed by another caller ($200).

3 players to flop. Pot $95.

Jeb leads for $45, mp folds, I call.

Hu. Pot $180

Jeb bets $65
I decide to make my move herE and jam it all-in. .

He goes in the tank. During this time it was literally all my monies on the table. The feeling was surreal. Wowzer.
Jeb pondering on the $250ish call while everything imaginable runs wild in my mind.

... thinking, what are my options if I lose this all-in?

Didn’t hv the passion to continue in that field. Wasn’t the path I cd see for myself. I enter teaching around the same years of the poker boom.
Those years reshaped my life.

**Use round numbers to make it easy. Actual numbers can be found in previous posts.

In a short span we went from $5k roll to $2k roll after paying the full year of daycare. Few days later, we decide to bring our B game to the table and lose $800. That took us to $1k, and handful of buy-ins to my name.

After a couple days of game planning a way to get in the clear, I decided an alternate route.
Why not build a deck extension and open the pool w the $1k roll. ?????? This wd gv me some quality productive days while also sparing us w one last buy-n . Not a wise financial choice, but gd for the mind body and spirit. Something about hammering and building something is rewarding.
Those fews days off to reflect and think forward has been +ev for all areas of my life.

Those projects took us from the $1k to $450. Current roll going in to today.

Then we get this $4mofo50 all in ott around 2:30.
