I feel like I’m $350 closer to the Model 3.
My sis is already giving me a great deal of $100/wk vs $130/wk for everyone else. She is giving me a 10% discount on top of that for paying upfront.

Not sure why she is willing. It’s def not of the norm for companies to do these type of savings for an upfront payment. I know she has offered it to others (at beginning of the year) as well. *i wasn’t ready at beginning of year.
She runs a daycare of 100 kids and does very well running it. Getting stiffed wd never happen. She wd watch him at her house if daycare shutdown. But that’s a stretch.

Great point and is a factor.

So how much exactly will we have left?
After I got home from the bank, I put it all together, licked my thumb, and counted it down.

$5200 and $84 in my wallet.
= $5284.

$5284 -$500 (Shay account) -$100 (Knox Account - $5 (Mya Account. Remember her $1500 is on SNAP where she has lost a couple hundred)
=$4679

$4679 - $3,150 (daycare payment)
=$1,529 poker start up roll.

Sara is paying me $100 every other week for her half of daycare.

+$100 next Monday happen to fall on her week.

=$1,629 final start up roll come Monday morning.
I feel confident I can spin this up.
These small sacrifices add up and get us to the Tesla Model 3 that much sooner. We will b back to $5k #moneyWall in no time.

I'm all for teaching them young about investing.. but why all in one stock and not diversify?

Gd point.
It was all her idea.
She gets on avg $80/wk babysitting. Half of that she saves and other half she spends. Mya is saving for a car for when she turns 16 (1.5years away). She is hoping to have $1500 in cash and $1500 SNAP by that time =$3k car.
Not much diversification, but she does plan to keep half in cash.

Got my spring and fall taxes today. Due in May $1,100 for Spring. My half $550 hit on the $1700roll.
Just paid Jenny when I picked up Knox today.
No poker today. Had a cheap $50 drone job for my sis’s daycare. So I paid her $3,100 instead of $3,150. They needed to look at the roof more closely for a repair. They also wanted to do a separate vid to highlight the daycare. I’ll upload here when I hv the edits.

Ever thought about posting for drone video work on CL or anything? Maybe FB "Buy, Sell, Trade" group - I could imagine realtors especially interested. Could be an easy way to pad the roll.

I’ll explain it all later. For now, on my way to drop Knox off at Daycare and then grind a sesh.

Gd idea. Few months back I did seek out some realtors on FB about this.
Now since RTA has kicked in I’m already working a bit more than my liking in my “semi-retired” life. Lol
Swamped at the moment w poker, RTA, fam life, and 3 kids activities. I wdnt turn down a drone job if someone asked me, but not seeking jobs at this time. Just don’t hv enough hours in the day right now.
@allnitgoesbroke is correct. I hv done a couple realtor jobs in the past.
I’ll try to get my edits done today on the latest daycare advertising, and post here tomo.

Hope all u guys hv a great day. I’m gonna try to run this roll up. First day AGAIN playing w just a handful of buy-ins. #wegamble

taking this +$144 and calling it a day. Table doesnt look that great. Definitely a winnable table, but too much on the tight side for my liking. Hitting Planet Fitness, then heading home.
Small win for the small roll. We need every little bit.
Closing in on $2k #moneyWall.

6 months ago after grouping all the monies together from poker, stocks, and the sell of The Melody; i was staring at $225K in cash.
I pondered...
then some more...
what shd I do w the money????

Some options that crossed my mind were:
-travel and play higher
-leave money in ENPH
-pay off house
-buy another flip property

We all know the best choice wd hv been to leave in ENPH! I saw that biotch go from .75 to 5.08 in 6 months! Cd hv been a millionaire.
Instead, we group all the monies together and pay off the mortgage, and left me w peanuts.

Before I made my decision, I had a talk with Sara. Explained to her I cd save us 25 more years of mortgage payments, but its gonna leave me w only a few thousand $. I asked her if she can still be responsible for her half by paying me $700/mo. *This amount is the same as she has been paying ($700 ea $1400 mortgage payment) since we moved here 5 years ago. Only difference now is her payments go ALL toward principal & NO %interest. f she agree, she wd have the house paid off in half the time.

So after my proposal, i told her basically I cd only do this if you agree. Otherwise, I was just gonna do something else w the money. We had $220K payoff that we were both responsible for.
Now if I held ENPH i cd hv paid this off, and not hv asked her for anything in return. But that didnt happen, so this was pretty much all of my money at that time.
She agreed. After all who wdnt agree to cut the length of their loan in half? You'd hv to be crazy in the head. Basically, she just made $100,000 that day saving in interest. I wasnt asking for anything more, just her half. Wd never try to make any money off her just fair. Growing up middle class, this was a lot of money to me. The most I ever had. And we arent married w both names on the deed. I had to protect me.
We typed up an agreement, signed, and filed it away. If we sell beforehand, all monies put in by both parties will get back their share.

Not gonna lie, even though its a win/win situation for both, it feels douchey on my end.

So yes, Sara pays me $700/mo (until $110K i paid), and $100 every other week (rest of year) for daycare.

Every thing between us is fair 50/50.
We have had a great partnership which has made the relationship strong. Though, when(if?) we get married all of this will seem kind of weird. A part of me wants to be able to do this for free. maybe.

Two items not to forget regarding the house is that you will still need to pay property taxes and homeowner's insurance each year.

You have a non-standard relationship, therefore you will have some things that are different compared to others.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with how you handled it. Partnership at its best. Good for you both!

Edit - side question, what happens if she misses a couple payments? Gonna give her the eviction notice?

Better question, what about when we get married? Do I still do this?
