Trying to be productive, but feel lm not.

Today has been the first full day of pretty much doing nothing. Almost got the urge to go sit in a game, but decided to stay the course and wait it out. If I wd to hv a losing week it wd just push everything back.

Not sure what to do over the next 10 days. Done making RTA shirts, done transitioning kids bedrooms. So now what? Guess I’ll go work out and just try to stay tennis fit.

We will get there! We will run it up again! I promise u!

Thanks @Jmoney2681. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is reading it, but still write just because it helps me stay accountable to myself. I feel if I put it out there, then it pushes me to get me to the next levels of life.
I understand it may b in the boring stage of the journey right now, but those stages sometimes happen. I’m not gonna make **** up just for the sake of a better read. #FullTransparency

We both left our 2/5/10nl game and I was waiting at Central Park under the lights for him. I was quite surprised because supposedly Clint makes these bets all the time and does quite well on them. I think he has some utube vids of his high dollar bets (mostly golf).

I appreciate the full transparency. I am willing to say 99% of posters don't post anything close to this level of transparency. I was very happy to read about your 1/2 NL win rates and how you crushed the game. I would say it's more like a 2/5 NL game tho, as most games you played in were very deep compared to the average 1/2 or even 1/3 NL.

I wish I had a 1/2 NL game that deep, sounds like a great spot for a expert player like yourself to fully execute exploitation. The stocks section was also interesting, binking on TSLA was pretty sweet I bet?

In my experience these type of bets require no show clauses i.e. no show is the same as a loss

Dear 2+2,
I can not afford to take any shots until we get through our tax situation. Yes, I realize I’m already defaulting on my initial 2018 plan. Things change course and one shd man up to realize it.
The weight on my shoulders is getting heavier. We try.

Dear me,
Take everything u have and get this paid off. Total taxes looks to be right around the 5 fig mark. The money wall sits around 6k, tennis savings are $1,100 = just north of 7k. Sara owes me 5k. So that puts me around 12kish. I can pay this off, but left w nothing. Puts me in a bad spot.
One thing I know is, I shd back way off on the pokerz and coast this $ through tax season. Putting any $ at risk right now may not be wisest move.
What about going back to a regular teaching job or tutoring math?

New poker room Supervisor at HSI. Looks like he’s trying to get active on socials and listen to concerns to grow the room. Sounds like a positive effort!

I know this guy Clint, he is good at hustling, beat one of our friends out Of 5k when he hit 70 out of 100 three pointers and made 91 of 100 free throws. He’s good at everything he does from golf, basketball to poker, I’m guessing he realized he wasn’t going to win this tennis match and bailed.

Have you ever thought of making your own clothing line? There's a lifestyle vlogger who moved to Reno (I think) and became the CEO of a clothing line. Can't think of this guy's name at the moment.

I want nothing to do w teaching math. I’m trying to work less, not more.

Poker will continue to be my driving force for all things money. It pays gd, it’s flexible. We just trying to get through this small bump.
I hv the cash to pay Uncle Sam, but just won’t hv a lot left to grind on. Shd know exact numbers next weeK. It’s gonna b a sweat. I’m thinking I’ll prob only hv a handful of buy ins for a start up roll. It makes me a bit nervous, but I just tell myself even if we go broke on this short roll we still sitting pretty in life.

Plan A is to run up my short roll. Plan B is to make plan A work.

Saw that. Also saw they are taking an extra $ out on all pots over $20.

Another 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

They raised the rake, or using it for some promotion?

Taking 1 more promotional dollar at 20, but they're going to be stepping up their promotions big. A big increase compared to what they're offering now.

As a recreational player this seems appealing, however I could see how the pro's wouldn't like it. But if it brings in more fun players, win-win.

HSI has done everything backwards.
To grow a poker room, I always felt u shd cater to the high limit players and regulars, the rest wd trickle down. If u lose ur regulars, u lose the room.
This is my opinion. What’s ur thoughts?
Their business model has always been catering to their own staff, and recs. Hasn’t been working at all, and it’s been slowly falling off the cliff. When they move to land, it cd help spark some business.

Imo it's a bit like running a bar. It's all about the regulars. Making it a part of people's routine. You need asses in seats grinding out beers or rake.
