28 players decided to chop.
1 guy took $400, and the rest took $355.

2 for 2 on the free rolls. Does not count towards $40K Challenge.

Sweet this goes into a separate blunts/bourbon roll.

If you make the trip into Kentucky get some Heaven Hill 6yr old 100 proof bonded whiskey. Under $15, great for $1/$2 grinder and a steal, only available in Kentucky.

Looks you need to make a Heaven Hill run. Nice win, keep grinding.

Update: All the money (155k) from the sale of The Melody has been dispersed.

•we took about half of that (70k) and put it on our principal.

We moved in to the house I currently live in 3 years ago, and at that time put 20k down on the house bought for $259k. The following year, we used the money from our first 1/2 $40k challenge attempt where we came up short ($36k ish) and put in an inground pool. This brought our home value up to the recently appraisal of $295k.

Prior to putting nearly half of the money from the sale of The Melody, we owed $223k on our home. Once we put $70k towards principal, we now owe $153k.

Any guesses on what we did w the other 85k?

interest rates too low to prepay principal?

Can't you make better than 4% on investments?

Keep it liquid.

I'll throw a couple guesses out. New car? Stock market roll? Moving up poker stakes after the challenge is over?

P.s. been following the thread for a while but never spoke up. Hello, and good luck in the coming months.

Bought in for $500 this morning.
Ran it up quickly to $800 and then back down after I 3 barrelled w perfect bet size on a wet board and got owned w a bottom pair call.
Now up $100ish.

We got to watch out for @Ksrwizard in seat 5. He recently turned pro and taking his game seriously. It shows. Played w him the last couple of days, and he has playing well. Good luck w this new endeavor.

It's my ultimate goal to b completely debt free including house. I want it paid off asap. It's the only thing right now hanging over my head. I'm trying to set myself up for the easy life.

Average is about 3% growth, I think 4% is possible.
