I thought about this as well but with current rates it's almost not worth the hassle. Or not enough to offset the idea of clearly being able to identify earnings for the challenge.

Nice win out in CA Rayz, still on pace for 40k keep it up.

Need to go back and watch only had a chance to glance through last night. It's been about 20 years since I've seen some blunt rolling. Didn't think this was still a thing with the prevalence of the wacky tobacky in recent years, thought people where lighting up in new and innovative ways.

"SO WHAT DO YOU THINK IS A REALISTIC ANNUAL EARNING OF AN "A" PLAYER GRINDING $1/$2NLHE?"

didn't a pro say a good winrate per hr is 10x the bb?

so 10 x $2 = $20/hr = $40k/yr if 2000hrs
(a work year = 2000hrs)

Really depends on the game. Rayz plays in a 1/2 game but it is $300 max start up to biggest stack. Also, it has a Miss Straddle option and sometimes a "rock straddle." This makes the game much larger than some other 1/2 games with $200 max buyin capped.

Jonathan Little wrote a book where he shared that he made $35 an hour from 1/2 $200 cap at the Borgata AC but I cant remember the sample size.

Now switched to a regular 1/2nl game and down -$40ish in that.

I wish they would've kept the customer loyalty $500 free roll for you. I wonder why they already got rid of it? Nice add on to the bankroll

It was a true grind all day long. Up a little, down a little, down a little more, back to even, down a little, back to even. Then after 5 hours, the sesh came down to this hand.
5$ straddle $250 effective. I raise to $15 in mp w 910. Three callers...2 cover oop and 1 player w $150 in position.

Pot $60 4way. Flop J97.

Action goes: P1 bets $50, P2 folds, i raise all in (Pair, gssd, fd), P3 calls for less ($150), and P1 bet/calls too.

Pot $650ish 3way. Turn 8

River: 4

Me Straight, P3 (Allstate) J10 Straight > P1 AJo

Finally got in the black w that one.

Gave some back and walked +$128.
The month has been small profits, but we cool. Just treading until that big score comes our way.
$24k hunting. ($23,449 rt)

RT: $23,606 *Behind Pace a smudge.
This month of August: +$492

August $40K Vlog will be at the eom. Sorry no 2 parts this month.

The PVG trip has taken a lot out of me. Makes me not wanna be associated w this circus anymore, but I trudge on and stay committed. I'm in limbo of what I want to do after this year. Part of me wants to go in hiding, and another part of me wants to keep on doing what I'm doing. Although, i don't even know what it is I'm doing.

My only concern related to poker this year is The #$40K Challenge. Not anything else! I promised everyone on this thread that I will vlog it to better reveal this journey. This is the only reason right now that I am vlogging. It has all been organic, and not about anything else. It's the true story of the grind in the best way I can capture it. When I commit to something, I wanna stay true, for me, and for others.

I'm just kind of lost right now w everything. #fulltransparency

One last thing, I think I'm the best no limit holdem' cash player in the world. I'm not even smoking right now.

Damn Ray, sounds like you're down in the dumps a lil bit. Don't let CheckRaiseChicken**** bring you down homie, dude was spewing.

On another note (I'm sure you've already answered this before), do you smoke before you play? I think more intensely about poker while high, but I also feel like my recall suffers since I can't remember action of hands as clearly.

Sorry didn't get back sooner. Been pressure washing my sidewalk and driveway.

No one is getting me down.

No I don't smoke while playing. Used to years ago, but not anymore.
It's not as fun for me to do that around people in social settings. Nowadays, I much rather do it when I'm alone; playing guitar, cutting the grass, editing vlogs, or maybe pressure washing sidewalks.

Just started free roll 30 mins ago, and we found ourselves an early double.

7,500 stack
W blinds 25/50, i 3bet JJ in mp to 400.
Flop 10 9 4, and lady way overbets flop (3/4 her stack (5k)). I decided to go ahead and get it in. I was either gonna b the first one out or double up. It was a weird lead. I didn't love it, but whatever.
JJ > A10

15k. 100 players in, got to fade 80 to get $500.
