I am far from an expert, but why didn't you charge "ole grey hair" to see the river? I would think that this hand could have been played a few different ways. Maybe 3! pre to $50 and iso the action guy. Any bet post flop wins the pot. Or 3! the flop bet to $100. I am not criticizing the play, but trying to understand your thinking.

If he raises he can only get called by better.

He played the hand fine.

Sometimes the board just runs out bad for your hand.

Truly not sure if my line could hv been better. 3betting pre was an option, but i respected the ep 7.5x raise. At the same time wanted to underrep my hand against this ole siver hair action/call happy player.

-Maybe raise otf instead of me walking the dog by calling.
-Turn club was a card killer for me, so played it safe and just called hoping the river is a brick.
-Cd hv bet otr but i considered the call station player.

Poker is a gd brain game w many options. I love it even when it doesn't work out. Ok...perhaps i dont love it when i get outrran.

Next...

Glad Easter weekend is here! I def need this time to better realign my priorities, and reflect on the great importance of life.

Losing -800 in a session is gut wrenching.

$11k hunting for the 2nd time.

It's moving quicker than I expected w the closing on The Melody. Appraisal schedule for tomorrow. Just a matter of time before poker will become my one and only job. Scary and exciting at the same time.

Just got coolered.
Limped the $5 button straddle in sb w AA and got 4 limps. The action button guy tank checks. Well, that plan backfired until...

Flop 22A. I check, mp bets $10, button calls, I raise to $40. Folded to button who calls.

Heads up. Turn is 2.
I check not liking this card at all but I just can't find the fold button . I call the button $45 bet.

River 10. I check/call $150 hoping he had the Ace and not the 2.

Four Deuces > Aces full deuces.

Man what a bad turn! I felt him if the deuce doesn't turn.

-$200
