Over/under 9 hrs before I get over it. Playing cash tomo. No more tourney torture til Sept Wsop @Hco. #keepshowingup

As you know I had the same talk with my girlfriend when I got home, hard to explain how well I played when I came home with nothing! (8th for day 1a paid the same as last)

I can't remember the betting in the only hand we semi-tussled early, but I'm certain I was a blind. The flop was AKddX and you bet sizeable. After a small tank I folded Q7dd... Anyone else I believe I would have "chased" against those odds.

gl Cash gaming!

@hello7027
I remember the early semi tussle hand between u and I. When u lead out flop i was thinking 2 pair, or flush draw. When u checked turn, I had to bet my Ace (A10). If u called I prob wd hv went to showdown, or wd have to fold to a big bet. If u call there, and miss diamonds on river. Do u bluff river, or surrender? I wd hv had trouble calling a big river bet. If river is brick and u fire out a bluff but after u check/call turn, I MAY hv made a soul read call thinking u missed diamonds. Who knows? Damn u played great yesterday. That was our tourney to win!! I'm over it tho, Time to play cash!

Had I called and missed diamonds I would have surrendered with that prev. bet info b/c I wouldn't believe you'd be bluffing ME haha

I made those 2 soul reads (your term I've added) against that one gentleman and almost made a 3rd the hand before our table broke. The guy to my left raised my flop bet all in. He told me as we moved he had the nut flush draw so my read was right, just not balls enough to call all in with middle pair at the 20 people point...

Soul reads? Who came up with that one? Haha. I admit im getting kinda jealous Im not their with y'all to tango it out in those tournaments and be included in the banter. @hello7027 since Ray isn't playing the main you have to ship that tourney and wear the belt with pride!!

Fun PokerMania w #pokergang: @onceharby, @acekicker56, @hello7027. Glad to see the crew come in town. Never thought I wd make such gd friends from this thread, what a awesome added bonus!
Some serious grinding took place during the day, and dinner n drinks w pokergang n the evening. Got hooked up w $90 comp at Legends, so that made the food taste even better.
So far the #pokergang hasn't made it out of day one, but maybe @fluke22 might b able to represent tomo. gl.
@emptinpockets hope all is goin gd n Vegas. See u back here in a few weeks.
And for everyone else, Just want to wish u all gl luck as well in their journey. The support that is shared through this thread is awesome to see/read.
Today- blah for the most part. A lot of small ball poker. Bought in for $300, then added $200. My biggest hand came right when @Acekicker56 sits down otb. Utg makes it $7 w AK, +1 calls, and I 3 bet to $20 w 10s. Utg only caller. Flop is 44Q. Utg checks, I check. Turn is 10. Utg checks, I bet $15. He calls. River is K. He checks, and I bet $60. He tanks, and says "I have no clue what u have, I'm confused". I reply, "I'm not sure what u have,... I'm not even sure if I have a winner". ... He calls. That was a $200 pot, and my biggest of the day. +$170 on 6hrs.

My app won't let me start a new thread. Any opinions on this ruling?
1/2 NLH

UTG straddles to 5

4 callers

I raise to 40

The player to my right is the only caller

The dealer takes his cards before the flop

One player at the table says the cards were taken before the call

No one else knows when they were taken

The $40 is refunded

Players job to protect his cards and notice if that happens. If the player has declared "call" or put money into the pot, it should stay.

Was he in the 1 seat? Did they offer to have him tell his cards to floor and have them fished out?

I understand they do this to keep players happy during an unfortunate situation, but I'm assuming it negatively affects your session outcome (assuming you were ahead and the other player doesn't outflop you.)

They wouldn't let him fish them out. My concern is the confusion over if his cards were taken before or after he called.

If he is idiotic to call $40 wo any cards, his money shd stay out there.

Proud of the pokergang for making some deep runs n event1. Each of us got really unlucky Towards the end of day1 at critical times. thats poker tho... Got to move onward. I see a lot of big things coming soon from this crew. I'm fortunate to be surrounded by some great poker minds. We r constantly challenging and motivating each other, and it keeps us playing top notch. Thanks pgang

Won't b able to play main. Going out of town. Thanks for the bad beat sympathy. I'm thinking 118 over/under on main.

Today I was stuck from the jump on a big flush over flush for $200loss. Then stuck sm more after i bluffed river once it was checked to me. I missed open ended straight draw, and She called the $115 river bluff bet, and I lose $200 n the hand. So towards the end of my session I'm stuck close to $400.
THE HAND that got me back. Here it is - On Mondays HSI splashes $50 in the pot on all tables, every hour. After adding a couple black chips to my dwindling stack, a few hands later our table is splashed. After limped to me n CO I make it $15 w QJ($385ish), the button 3bets to $35 w KK (same lady I tried to bluff earlier)($600stack(2/3 of it mine)). I call the 3bet $35, heads up to flop. Pot is $50(splash)+$35+$35+$3=$123. The flop is AK10. I check, she bets $115, I go all in for $350ish, she calls. At this point, I wish they wd allow us to run 3 times, but not allowed. I fade twice, and when a big one $800ish. That got me n the black. Played 10a-5pm,...THE HAND happened at 4:30. hitNrun...felt so good. After being stuck close to $400, winning +$101 never felt so good.

Thanks @hello7027. I hope u do nab that belt. Based on the way u been playing, u def deserve it.
This week I have played everyday, and have little to show for it. Over 17hrs (mon-wed) and I made $20. Fun times. Currently waiting to be seated for a 1/2 game here at HSI. They r getting ready to open a new table, but I'm hoping to get on the table that has been running all night. A lot of deep stacks, and juicy action from the alnighters. This will be my last sesh before I head out on vaca, so hopefully it's a gd one. Let u know later this evening...
After tonight's post, i prob won't post on here until I return, July 1st. As always, best of luck, and thanks for you support!!!!!
May the best hand win,
Rayz
