I hit a HH for $1200 5-6 weeks ago by deciding not to raise preflop. I straddled button for $5 and had a raise to $15 and one caller and I just called with AA. I was going to give it a chance to hit before betting big. Flop was AK9 and we all checked and I was just begging for that K and it hit the turn. Lucky I was against a guy with KQ and we got it all in on the river. Aces full of Kings held the last 25 minutes but there were only 2 tables going. I don't like to switch my game up that much but for an extra $1200, I figured it was worth the 1 hour gamble.

Good luck!

I sure cd use a hh to get back n the game! Me too prob won’t b raising much that hour and w only $100 buy. Not sure what the bonus $ hour is, but I’ll call later and find out. Gl me.
Btw, nice LV trip @Tobedecided. Looked very profitable via tweets.

Also for those into the vlog scene, my man @hello7027 has a nice season 2 teaser out there.

Gonna try to finish the fringe today since we can’t afford to play .

I still believe we will get there. Just takes a run up. That’s all. Stay calm, cool, collected.

Just called into HSI and $2200 is on the board for 3-4p hour. It’s a long shot w 6 tables going but if I don’t gv myself these opportunities then we’ll always b drawing dead.

In route. Updates coming
#lf $123.75. Next $100 payday Monday (Sara daycare payment). It’s getting ridiculous

Thanks! Yea made money in cash, bricked the 3 tourneys I played. Planet Hollywood had a great promotion where from 5a-9a if you won a hand with no pair, no pair on the board, and there was at least $40 in the pot, you got $50. That promotion was made for me. You know $1/$2 players don't check raise bluff on the river. #SoSweet

Otl for 1/2nl.
Had $20 in comp that in turned into a $10 free slot play (.50c on the dollar).
Turned that $10 into $17.50 and cashed out.

Current #lr $141.25. Using $100 of that to buy n short. Can’t afford to lose it!!

Got 3/4 fringe done before I left. It’s gonna b real close to having enough fringe!

Good luck bro. Lurked your thread for quite a while. Even asked around about you at HSI when you all were in disagreement ....

I am currently preparing for a long run, undecided on hsi or tunica. Tunica "can" be busier and has 1/3, but the 1/2 action at hsi in my experience is fine. And the floor seems to be a little friendlier in general as well.

I'm thinking of going this saturday ... Working 7 nights a week right now but somehow they are saying we arent "currently" scheduled for that night.

I need to keep saving my br for my real run, but do want to go play ... Like any poker player would want to do lol ... But i dislike trying to play for one night only. I tend to focus on the time left and allow it to sometimes creep into my decisions if I know it will be a little while before I can play again ...

Gl on hitting hh today bro!
When you get your stack back we'll have to have a outting challenege on your green! You provide that green abd i'll provide the other green

A friend of mine took it down w Aces full of Queens.
In for $100 out for $81

Gonna pick the kids up at sauce and then back to finishing this fringe. Please let us hv enough to finish. Pic to come later.

@PokerDubbs bol to ya on your poker journey. My best advice wd b to try to book winning months and don’t fret the day to day results. Mayb I’ll see ya around.

Yeah lol. Found that out. Playing now.
Bad beat is the only promotion going.. Quad jacks or better.. Non progressive... 10k ... 8 to loser i think.. 2 to winner ... 1k each to everyone at the table .. Could be wrong on the alottment but i think thats what the dealer said...

Why do you deal with this thread and the AIDS that comes wit it? Now everyone at your local casino knows your broke. How embarrassing friend. Do you think it would be better if you pulled back instead of putting yourself out there?

Looks great. Wimbledon was very entertaining to watch this year. Didn't think Djokovic would win it at the start of the tournament.

i don’t get too bummed out what others are whispering. I’m not naive to know that it goes on. It’s fine. This is a very happy time for me. I’m loving life and welcoming these challenges ahead in f me. I love to compete.!

Wasn’t going to respond ^, but had a couple noteworthy tidbits that went down.

1). Got Robbedof all the cash to my name.
got Sara’s $100 daycare pay today (her week). That’s was added to the $160 from sm recent RTA pays. So all the money to my name, $260 sits in my wallet this morning in the console of my truck. Which is parked right outside the tennis courts at the local park. The windows up? Yes. The doors locked? No. I mean I’m only 30 yards away w my vision on it. So it wd b ballsy of any thief to make a grab and go.

2 mins before wrapping up the morning lessons, I notice out of the corner of my eye that my back tailight is on. As I focus in, I see a skinny man on a ole skool curved handled bar ten speed leaning into my truck. On snap! I sprint off the courts. The dad and I both run to our cars chasing after him. While I’m driving I see my wallet in there. The went to once I opened it up and saw the cash gone. The park has a grass hill that leads to some back roads. Dude on bike flys down the hill. I brake hard, park, and trek down the hill. Btw, sprinting downhill is awkward and hard to maintain balance. Long story short, his advantage on 2 wheels beat are legs.
Just Can’t catch any breaks this summer. Now no $ but forgiving heart. Hope the thief uses it for good. I’ll b alright. It can only get better?

2). We did complete one of our goals.

@DaNit possibly another $100 this evening if the high school girl continues on. She up for renewal today and shd b letting me know. $75 on Friday. Yes I added another day (Fridays) to RTA. That money is already taken for the fam life survival...groceries, stuff needed, school shopping.
RTA has been a great openin season!
Wanted to originally do a tennis court in back yard, but just cdnt squeeze out the room. Imagine RTA right n my back yard.

Thinking about stirring up some things.

Sure the #semitretired has been great. It’s both stressful and refreshing knowing small money coming in and small money gone. The frustration is...nothing been saved. The refreshing is...after a few months of break even poker still knowing I can get by. Not only get by, but also have lots of #semitreitred time to myself (for all things that don’t cost money lol...walks, hitting shag balls, tennis).

Shd I continued this route? Can I get to #Tesla/Buzz this way?

After I got robbed yesterday of my last dollars, I chilled in the park to really think about things. Those thoughts put me on the line with w banker. My question to banker was, “can I get an equity loan without showing income but my house paid off?” Lady says, “no, but just Sara’s cd”. Now my light bulb gets brighter...Mayb I can ask Sara if she cd get the loan for just the amount of money she owes me for house (100kish). Instead of paying me each month w no interest, pay the bank w 2.9%. She may go for it to get knowing she cd option for a lower monthly payment than the $700 she pays me each month.
I cd also pay that loan off once my money grows to a comfortable roll, and finance her again w no interest.

If we think this is a gd route; then need to lunchdate convo w Sara on her off day a Friday.
Or
Wait to see if we run up the $700 (house pay) +$100 (it will b her daycare week again) =$800 beginning of August?

Either way, I stay out of debt. Which is the key! W equity loan, I went get those $700 monthly payments for next 11 years. Instead have it all now.

Thoughts?
