What rule was it?
I did the same trip of Columbus & Lawrenceburg.
In Lawrenceburg, at Hollywood Casino, I was playing at a 1/3nl table where I took my initial buy-in of $300 and ran it up to $500. The table began to feed in new players w a bunch of $100 stacks and it beacame dreadful. During this time, I had my eye on another game running where stacks were much deeper.
“Hey Roger”, I said. “When it’s convenient, can I move to that other table?”
Roger, the floorman, replied “Sure, just wait until we can balance the tables out.”
“Thanks”.
A couple orbits go by...”Rayz, u can move now.” said Roger.
I racked up my $500 and begin to sit down at the new table. Right off the bat I knew this was going to b a lot better action and gd for my bottom line.
First hand utg, i fold 94 off. Second hand in bb, AK off. Lady in middle makes it $15 followed by 3 callers. I 3bet to $85 w no calllers and scoop.
The Dealer at my table then calls the floor over. After a few love whispers into each other’s ear, Roger then walks over to me. “Sir, ur going to have to chip down to $300.” I said, “Uh, i just came from that table over there where I had $500.” Roger, “U can’t bring that with u.”
At this time, I’m way confused, and in utter disbelief. I dig a little deeper...“Are u saying if someone builds up their stack to like $1k and wants to take money off the table, all they have to do is move tables?” “Isn’t that advocating taking chips off the table?” Roger, says “if U don’t like the rule, u don’t have to play.” I dig more...”if I return to the table where I came from, can I take what I have here?” Roger, “No, 300 max”.
Dealer said he won one pot and can have $360 on the table.
I let one more hand go, and then rack up. I didn’t want to play w this nonsense clouding my brain.
Sorry, I’m drama.
