Oh, saw that you are now in top 5 all time in PGC threads. Super cool! I came to the party halfway. Keep it going sir!
BTC made a gd run, and will probably make another. It’s either gonna b a hero or a zero. So it’s investable and worth the risk. I’m not a fan, but doesn’t mean someone shdnt put a small % of $. Upside returns > loss of money.
Imo, I feel something better will come along. This era is the “MySpace” of Coin Bananza...down the road the “Facebook” will do it better.

Correct. I see a bigger correction coming.
I liked SNAP and TWTR last year when it wasnt cool to like them on Walstreet. I thought those 2 were way oversold. Recently, both popped..
Big fan of Venmo, so that wd fall under PYPL.
Tbh, I wdnt invest in anything right now. Market doesn’t look appealing to me.. Wait after the recession next year and see what deals are out there. Yes, I feel it happen.

I’m not the man. I hv many faults, but thanks.

Yes. Usually if a game doesn’t run through the night; then the first game doesn’t open til noonish. I got there around 9:30 and didn’t want to wait 2.5 hours.

I think it cd b way better w very simple changes, but my opinion doesn’t matter.

1). Poker Offer

Nothing big. Received an inbox on here from a poker training site. They offered me free access to start ($1k value) for plug on 2+2. Long story short...
I followed their link, watched a teaser vid, and wasn't impressed. Respectfully, declined.

2). Tax Man

The latest...

The initial plan on paying these 5 figure taxes (5k ish The Melody gains, 5k stock profits) was:
take my $6k bankroll and the $5k from Sara (her last payment of 3 for inground pool deal) to pay Samz. That wd leave us w a short roll to grind up.

The wizards here on 2+2 they advised to keep grinding while im waiting for Sara's refund check.
My thoughts were, not risk my br and pay Samz while I had the $.
Con: I had to wait 4-6 weeks to get Sara's $.
Pro: the money will b available to pay Samz and it wont b hanging over my head.

Long story short...I took the advice of the 2+2ers.
Been rounding for the last 2 weeks and been on one serious heater. We are only $900 away from being able to pay Samz now.

- Still waiting on Sara's Federal return to come in.
- #Trucklife #MoneyWall is back on the road and will b back home Saturday night.
- Sidenote: got my first drone job from a realtor who reached out to me on FB. Wasn't looking to do drone work, but maybe i shd...

Hey @djcl I’ll post about #3 soon.

For now, sitting in the casino parking garage because I questioned a rule and was told if I don’t like it, I can leave. I left.
I wasn’t even being out of line. Simply stating why I thought the rule is horrible.

Apparently, anyone can be a Poker Supervisor nowadays. Them not knowing the stupidity of their own rules makes me chuckle.

3). Retirement

I decide recently that I want to retire. So there u hv it, I’m officially retired.
Moving forward, I’m just gonna play poker and give tennis lessons for fun. It’s not work anymore. I’ll continue to play poker because I have the passion to compete, but it’s going to be much more lax.

The last couple years seems to be that way. I wd agree w ur assessment.
It’s just hard to always be right.

I used to b the one to take the high road, but I can’t just #ShutUpnDribble anymore. Especially when dealing w these clueless domineering authority types.
I mean seriously, it’s like their advocating taking chips off the table.

I been meaning to tell you this for a while Ray, but considering you have responsibilities such as house, family, and such I don’t think you can really afford to “stick it to the man.” Sometimes just gotta take sht and roll with the punches to live to fight another day. Many of your problems and issues could have easily been avoided.

Just like you shouldn’t play poker with your ego or emotions - you should apply the same to your surroundings because ultimatetly, that’s all part of mental game.

Agree that there is an excess of foolishness in this country. For me as I've gotten older I've earned a bit of wisdom that lets me find balance and more contentment.

Sometimes it is great to tilt at windmills, but sometimes you are better off riding on past.

I guess it wasn't HSI since they were flooded out anyway?

What rule was it?

I did the same trip of Columbus & Lawrenceburg.

In Lawrenceburg, at Hollywood Casino, I was playing at a 1/3nl table where I took my initial buy-in of $300 and ran it up to $500. The table began to feed in new players w a bunch of $100 stacks and it beacame dreadful. During this time, I had my eye on another game running where stacks were much deeper.

“Hey Roger”, I said. “When it’s convenient, can I move to that other table?”
Roger, the floorman, replied “Sure, just wait until we can balance the tables out.”
“Thanks”.

A couple orbits go by...”Rayz, u can move now.” said Roger.

I racked up my $500 and begin to sit down at the new table. Right off the bat I knew this was going to b a lot better action and gd for my bottom line.
First hand utg, i fold 94 off. Second hand in bb, AK off. Lady in middle makes it $15 followed by 3 callers. I 3bet to $85 w no calllers and scoop.

The Dealer at my table then calls the floor over. After a few love whispers into each other’s ear, Roger then walks over to me. “Sir, ur going to have to chip down to $300.” I said, “Uh, i just came from that table over there where I had $500.” Roger, “U can’t bring that with u.”
At this time, I’m way confused, and in utter disbelief. I dig a little deeper...“Are u saying if someone builds up their stack to like $1k and wants to take money off the table, all they have to do is move tables?” “Isn’t that advocating taking chips off the table?” Roger, says “if U don’t like the rule, u don’t have to play.” I dig more...”if I return to the table where I came from, can I take what I have here?” Roger, “No, 300 max”.

Dealer said he won one pot and can have $360 on the table.
I let one more hand go, and then rack up. I didn’t want to play w this nonsense clouding my brain.

Sorry, I’m drama.

The rule at my home casino (Columbus) is that you bring over as much as the largest stack from your old table. If your table breaks, you can bring over however much you had, regardless of largest stack.

Seems baffling that they make you chip down but probably not the end of the world imo.

I don't think this is the rule in Columbus. I have moved from a broken table and they made me "chip down" to the biggest stack.
