Well, when FTP went down we paused everything and had all the euros send the money back. so, the only money thats really "locked" in horses accounts are the US ones. its tough to say how much we actually have locked on ftp atm. think it would be between like 60-80. We usually kept more money on stars then FTP.

Depends on a lot of things. would have to play all of the new FTP stuff by ear. most likely, yes

Eh, i pay taxes on my share, and the horses pay taxes on theirs. i use Russ Fox (lot of poker guys use him). he does a great job and is relatively cheap.

So, whenever I won a significant amount/made a big FT it was always more of a kind of sense of relief than pure happiness (I guess if i ever won smth huge like the mill it would be diff). Do you get that same feeling? Moreover, how do you think your feelings compare to the actual horse after a horse wins something big?

It was a great feeling having a horse win a mtt for that much money. there are so many emotions that went through my head as he won it/after he won it. of course there is just pure happiness because i just won a decent amount of money. but, i after like 10 mins i really just thought back about the grind to get to that point. starting low and building stuff up. so many close calls in so many big mtts that other horses had. i suppose i was just like any other actual poker player when that big score finally comes through. just so much work went into everything, and something finally went 100% right.

in other words

Hi Zima,

Congrats on the big score!

I have two questions from a staking perspective:
1) How do you deal with someone in MU who you think is playing extra reckless to hit a big score to get out of MU?

2) How important do you feel being emotionally mature is to being successful at poker? Have you signed guys who later turned out to be emotional rollercoasters?

Zima,

Congrats on picking a good horse. I saw you mentioned you had 20k in your two accounts and 20k in horses accounts before you considered staking for $12 - 180's. How many people were you planning on moving into these 180's that you felt a 40k roll would do the trick? How many guys did you end up putting in the 180's at that point?

tbh, it was such a long time ago i cant really remember the exact numbers. so unsure if the real roll was 40k, but sure it was something very "safe".

at the time, we just kinda eased people into those games. we just kept adding more and more guys, we didnt just drop like 20 guys into those games right away.

Gonna just update my "workouts" every week on monday. I am still on schedule this week and eating is going very well. think one update a week for non-poker stuff is prolly best for this thread.

edit: lol. didnt even get wat nat meant when he said that. i am doing both of those things.

Hire a Personal trainer imo. Was the best thing I did regards to health.

They are reasonably priced and what you gain from it more then makes up for the cost.

That is, until they start making you do ******ed tricep extension super sets while standing on a bosu ball.

Be very careful about personal trainers. There are good ones but the industry is overwhelmingly made up of idiots who spew tons of terrible broscience.
