sweet to hear.

Sundays are the only day where there is excitement anymore. Its weird how that happens. Have some scores, and no longer really get excited for "normal" days. I used to get excited for 12 180 wins back when i first started. 594 for a win felt like so much and i would be rich in no time.

Its still a grind, but every saturday night i feel a weird sense of excitement that's hard to explain. I wonder what bax and sheets, or dip and jamers felt at their peak. so many ftops, scoop/wcoop/ftops/ftops/ftops.

Havent really had a huge bink in a while. Hopefully tomorrow is the day. just need a lil momentum leading into WCOOP.

I think betudontbet gonna have a real solid august.

Ty

the weight loss is going well, but slow. I constantly struggle with my diet. I am feeling really good in the gym. really feeling myself getting stronger really quickly.

Some people have told me i look different, but i dont really see it. Its hard when you see yourself in the mirror each day (brags, i know). I feel a lot better physically so thats good. at some point, i hope the weight will start to really come off.
Great thread... I still read a bit here & there when I have a few minutes. More interested in the health portion. Based on what you wrote; & I'm sure you know this...

***"Health" is not a weight number.*** I really really really wish someone would've told me that. Years back, I was sick & pretty much dead. Medication caused me to lose 70lbs over three-four months (after being sick). Having been overweight my whole life, I was excited by the actual number. Anyhow, no matter what I did I couldn't see myself as healthier/more fit/lean. Self image was hard to get past. At the end I was at 147 lbs & everyone thought I had become a junkie. I ate & ate & ate. Couldn't gain a pound. Was never so worried... Finally I went too far the other direction & have weight again to lose now.

Long story short. Know as long as you are doing the work, the results are there. It takes a little time to see, feel, & heal through the process. Just keep working hard. I now know that heath is a feeling. The better you feel, the better you will present to others. It's purely balance & control, work smart & you'll be where you need to be.

---

My other question... Did you have any of J.'s action this week. Such an incredible $215 for him. It was wonderful; as always to rail. I'm sure life is good tonight. I know you may know me from applications/threads, but of all the players I've really seen offering Sunday Action J. was/has always been my pick here on 2+2. Anyhow; I'm genuinely happy for his good fortune... Sad that I didn't place my 7% (as he didn't sell as the past two weeks), but that's how it goes. Good Luck with the health; & I look forward in following the thread.

Pretty soon I am starting the "Insanity" Workout Program... Will let you know how it goes. Hell, may be something to look into now if you have the time & commitment?

Cheers.

Hey

Yeah, i do feel better physically. would be good if some weight could come off as well (lost like 10-12 lbs so far).

Nah, jerry had all his own action (he swapped with a house mate). He is unbacked and strongly feels thats the best route for him. happy for him. he works hard and does everything the "right way".

If you are looking for quicker weight loss (depends on your caloric needs for your workout routine) drop bigger meals, eat five or six snacks throughout the day &/or add a bottle of Ensure to your routine. I was dropping like 7-9 lbs a week with average/minimal exercise. Also there is always the tuna & green bean or pea mix with peppers & onion flakes, fills you up & extra melts off. It can get bland & as I mentioned, the numbers won't always seem like a victory. If you are doing it correctly, loss itself will be slower. I'm sure you have the resources to eat right & work out. It all comes with time. I can tell you nothing is worse than being rail thin & all bones, joints, & even coughing or sitting hurts. Make sure to protect the back & knees whatever you do... I think I was lucky I got smart when I did. A "feeling" is now what I desire... (Sounds like you've found that natural tap of raw energy.) Again; Good Luck!!!

Horses went 1-2 in the big 109 yesterday. Been on a slight downswing but that helps some.

losing weight is stupid, you should change ur lifestyle so you live longer and age less and get less diseases in the future. short to medium term things are just stupid and wont have any effect anyways.

Food is the number one preventive medicine or cause for about every disease there is. Losing weight is just an added bonus that will happen anyways when you read up about how to live healthy, I can give more tips if you want.

big lol at 1 and 2 lol mbn

Yeah, it's called 'Player Group' now. You can create a group with the tab just under the column headings, and then search for it under the 'choose poker site' tab.

GL Zima, good to hear things going well.

the dutchie (Meca) got a point with diet correlating to like everything - lifespan, obesity, overall heath, disease, immune system, brain development, organ maintenence, circulatory system, cancer, alot of random poisoning you don't realize you're exposing yourself to (farmed salmon, tons of fish with high mercury content, milk with growth hormones, FDA approved/profit maximizing artificial foods, etc).

for easy tips: no more preservatives. no more artificial flavors. no more chemicals. read labels, if you see a bunch of **** that you don't know what it is, try to eat/drink less of it. a banana or blueberry or spinach or normal chicken basically won't have any weird soy or sodium or chemical products on the label no more empty 'filler' calories. Your food's ingredients should be food, not chemicals and artificial flavors.

red meat has alot of arguments, I'll stay out of that one.

getting a bit more extreme: no more enriched products (normal pasta, white rice, any products with white bleached flour), more veggies, more whole grains, more natural **** that comes from the ground. It can seriously be pretty tough and expensive to do in america, but remember moderation is key. Mexico is ALOT easier to stay away from horrible frozen foods and processsed junky fast food (although I bet Cabo is more USA catered than your northern Baja neighbors). I'm just starting on this little journey but basically if I have a choice that isn't going to be too tough to accomodate...then fish/chicken/veggies will be ordered before a carne asada taco....but who cares, eat some tacos sometimes if you like tacos..just try to balance a bit more. Pork is not 'the other white meat', it's red meat, sorry. Most sandwich meats are horrible and sodium filled and tons of preservatives. Turkey is fine, and I guarantee you have butchers down there that you can take a turkey to and they can make turkey sausage, slices, non-processed non-artificial "honey baked turkey" flavors, etc.

I'm sure juicing vegetables has been brought up to you a million times.

Fruits aren't vegetables, eating apples and cantalope and mangoes and strawberries all day isn't bad for you, but it's just alot of sugar. Not saying to stay away from em, as they do offer tons of vitamins and minerals, but remember it's like 2-3 servings of fruit and 6-8 servings of veggies or something per day. green leafy stuff is very bueno. I think I saw something a few months ago in here about high ANDI score veggies, obv a good thing.

Meat is not the only source of protein...you have nuts, beans, soy, greek yogurt, dairy products (also alot of debate)

Just remember you're human. If you wanna chug a liter o' cola...go for it.

disclaimer: I barely know what I'm talkin about, but just use common sense. Start slow. Balance & gradual improvement > extreme changes. Chemicals obviously add zero to minimal nutrition to your food, so stop eating and drinking them.

Hey Zima, great thread keep it going!

You said near the start of the thread that if you were to start with 10k you would start by staking SNG players rather than cash.

I'm just interested why most of your staking is of MTT players, is there just more winners looking for stakes in MTTs rather than cash or is there another reason?

Thanks a lot.
