I seem to have forgotten the email's password that is linked to my 2p2 account. should be fun trying to figure it out though.

the heat seems to have returned. had a few nice scoop scores (1 60k and 1 24k), but just doing really well in all the others games it seems. Hopefully can keep this going another few weeks. WSOP is looming.

might be too drunk at end of the day to write an update, but will def do one tomorrow about scoop/wsop/swings/whatever.

also, my friend might be giving me a free roll i cant refuse in terms of my health. so, we will see.

Would be cool if today goes well. Last sunday of scoop run bad can kill the rest of the run good leading up to it.

hello

figured i would give this an update. firstly, on a personal note i have kinda hit a rough patch in my "getting healthy" goal. I just kinda lost some motivation at some point. going home to america kinda put a kink in my routine. i came back to mexico, and just never really got on it. i leave for vegas tomorrow for the WSOP to see some friends and play a few events, and hopefully that wont be too hard on my eating habits. I hope to get back on some good routine soon, and have made contact with a personal trainer in cabo, so hopefully that works out. its like 45/hr which is kinda meh, but think its more about be being accountable to someone in terms of having to work out other than myself.

A friend of mine who i used to talk to a lot recently lost around 200 lbs. me and him had a lot of weight loss bets. it never was the catalyst that got it actually going for either of us. I saw a pic of him on facebook recently and it was ridic how awesome he looked (no ****, of course). very happy for him as he finally seems to be getting healthy. got a lot of respect for him for actually following through and getting all the weight off.

As far as poker goes, its been going fine i guess. scoop was kinda meh. had a few good sweats at times, but no real huge bink in scoop stuff. We def did well over those two weeks in other games though, so we made some money overall. will post every sunday graph in my next post.

We had a good sunday this week, with diegokeep winning the sunday million for us for around 195k. its our second biggest score as a stable and was a great feeling when he won.

I think these upcoming weeks are gonna be where a lot of the guys we have in decent MU are gonna clear and start crushing. the games will be pretty soft cause of WSOP.

I just cant seem to keep all this updated, but will come in every so often and post some graphs so people can see some swings.

I just tried to search people on sharkscope, but so many of our guys havent opted in yet, so it doesnt give a accurate picture of the swings really. I will post anyway i suppose, but there are around 10 people missing from this graph (3 of our highest stake guys too)

Sunday April 15th

Sunday April 22nd

Sunday April 29th

Sunday May 6th

One of the guys who isnt searchable won like 80k today here as well

Sunday May 13th

had a few nice wins on party poker this time totaling like 40k er so

Sunday May 20th

Pretty sure this was our biggest losing day ever...it doesnt show it on this graph, but we had a lot of high stakes guys lose a lot of money. (the three not shown, all bricked the 10k). I would estimate we lost like 55-65k this day.

Sunday May 27th

Diegooooooooooooooooooo

Really nice to have a decent sunday leading up into the WSOP.

these graphs really arent exactly how much we are up or down on sunday since it doesnt have everyone in there. we have had some nice scores, but everything someone seems to have a nice score, they are out of MU already. would be good for someone to bink off a 50k score and 40 of it be MU (i know i know, kinda dumb logic). we seemed to be doing well on sundays, and were getting kinda crushed during the weekdays a lot more recently. hopefully get a few nice sweats this summer.

David Emmons made final 64 of the 3k NLHE/PLO HU WSOP event. have a tough draw with Bkice but i know dave has the skill to beat this field. i get in on thursday, right when the last day of this mtt wraps up. would be quite awesome to come in to a live FT sweat.

This thread is awesome. I had no idea stakers could do so well. Thought Bax and Sheets were the only guys actually making long term money by soaking up all the good horses. I'm impressed.

Zima, I'm about to move to Cabo (Mid-Late June Arrival hopefully). Would be good to meet up! You sound like a very cool guy. I read about 50% of the thread. Trying to land a condo in Pedregal, or maybe ventanas over by costco. This hill/mountain you walk on sounded a bit like pedregal eh...?

Don't worry, I'm not looking for staking. I'm not a pro, but want to give playing a high volume a shot while getting a 3 month vacation in at the same time. I'm an entrepreneur who beat $5/$10 27 mans on stars in 2009 to test myself. Was working a desk job at the time so never moved beyond that. Studying PLO right now...and will probably grind either HU hypers/turbos or some form of turbo SNGs (45man or less) down in cabo while trying to climb the PLO cash stakes.

Anyways. Thanks for a killer thread, and Good Luck on your weight loss.

Hey

there are a few staking groups that are making decent money. I speak to a few of the guys who run them as well. Its tough to make money staking, but it is possible. I have plenty of friends who are done a ton doing it.

I should still be down here when you get here. I live in pedregal. I am about a 100 yard walk to the beach. Its kinda tough to get a condo in pedregal, but its doable. i can prolly hook you up with the email of a person who has a lot of condos around here (where a lot of poker guys live).

ty and gl to you as well.

super interesting thread, hopefully you have time to give at least weekly updates and thoughts. learned a lot of new things that i hadn't thought of before when it comes to staking. i subscribed to thread as well.

do you think it's necessary for the staker to be beating the games he is staking the players for? if you stake players above your skill level, how big of a sample size do you require for the player to have to prove his results?

many thanks

Hello

Weekly updates seem to be harder than i anticipated.

I am lucky to have the partner that i do in terms of selecting talent. He beats the game at a very good clip so he is the one who does the actual selection process. I do think its necessary to have someone evaluate talent who beats the game.

Sample size is obv important, but there are other things that are more important in the selection process. (secrets)
