2+2 virgin (basically), so a little backstory is probably necessary. I started playing poker about 2.5 years ago after falling in love with it from watching all the old poker shows like Poker After Dark and High Stakes Poker, and started playing microstakes on various sites.

Fast forward 1.5 years: I move back home after having spent 7 months on Malta working in the iGaming industry and playing poker. I decide that I'm going to take a shot at playing full time, but for a number of reasons that didn't work out, so I take a job in a car factory in order to pay my bills.

The job turns out to be super ****ing stressful, and Monday to Friday I have lliterally no spare time, and during the weekends I'm generally to exhausted to do anything else than recover, and wait for it all to start over again. Money was good (about 3500 USD a month for a 19 year old), but **** me it was so not worth it selling more or less all the time I have in a day in order to cash out a fat check that I barely have time to spend anyway.

So, this May I had saved up enough money to survive for a little bit without having to worry all too much, planning to figure out my next move during summer.

While working in the factory my passion for poker grew stronger. If I could make 1/3 of the money I did there playing poker full time i'd be 10x happier. This summer and autumn I'm gonna try to make it happen.

I was a little rusty after not having played basically at all for a long time, so May was kinda breakeven trying to get back in shape, but this month I've felt much more confident and I feel like I'm almost back to where I was a year ago.

Graphs for this month:

25NL Stars, 18.12 BB/1000

(after this sample I got a new computer, so that's why results are split into two graphs)

25NL and 50NL on Stars, 11.86 BB/100

Will try to update as often as I can, more than happy to hear feedback on anything and everything.

Don't enjoy having to click links, maybe this will work better.

Edit: Yup sure did. Same order as in the post above. I guess even virgins learn after a few missteps.

Thanks! 90% regular tables, never really liked zoom but probably gotta get used to it since there's such good value there

Played two shortish sessins today and yesterday. Slept for about 3 hours yesterday to try and reset my sleep schedule a little bit, but somehow managed to get in bed later than I should anyway and then slept for 13h, so right back where I started lol.

Todays and yesterdays session, about 33% 25NL, 33% 25NL zoom and 33% 50NL

In other news: F*ck Amaya

Back at it again yesterday, ended up playing like 3k hands of 50NL zoom on Stars and Party, breaking even lots because of a really long dryspell and playing B-ish game.

Then took a little break, smoked a joint and onetabled 25NL zoom for about an hour booking a 120 dollar profit

Was gonna post some hands but seems like the hand history converter isn't working. If anyone else has this problem, or even a solution I'd be happy to hear about it.

Debating whether I'm gonna go play live tomorrow or not, weekends are obviously the best time to go but I just can't seem to motivate myself to drag myself there and sit for all those hours playing only one table haha. Oh well, we'll see what happens

Wow really nice graphs!

I think the hh converter is broken for everyone, but its really easy to use the weaktight converter.

Haven't really been playing a lot the last couple of days, but got in two shortish sessions today and yesterday, despite being really hungover from my buddys birthdayparty last night.

I feel really comfortable at 50NL now, it usually takes a bunch of hours play before I'm used to the new stake, so I'm happy I crossed that obstacle.

GL!

Fish do a lot of weird stuff for sure!

Not all of them though, it's important to identify each player type.

So, since last update not much has really happened. I was sick for about a week, been while since I was that completely floored by an illness.

Poker obviously suffers when you're just down and out like that, and the few hours I've gotten in this month hasn't been going too great. On bit of a downswing on 50NL, and as oftentimes is true when that happens, it's a mix of playing a bunch of hands on B-game, and running bad.

Because of this I've decided to only focus on playing 50NL zoom until the downswing is over, it's a good way to get lots of hands in against a pretty soft field.

Sadly I don't feel to incentivised to play on Stars anymore due to the (most) recent rakeback changes. It's obviously still +EV to be in the games, but this time they really hit hard with the rakehammer. Saw a thread here where they came to the conclusion that the rakeback over 20k hands SSNL was just around 4%!
