Good morning, good porning!

Long story short, trying the expat life in Cyprus, hating it, started playing poker again outside of the working hours. Will probably go back to the motherland.

Spins you say? Yeah sure why not.

Gonna try and keep a record of the record of my progress/regress while at the same time venting about the sucky corporate slave life.

Graphs so far:
Spoiler:

Running hot itt

1s

3s

7s

Overall

Tried a shot at the 7s didn't feel comfy moved back to the 3s will try again when bankroll has 100BI's.

Current bankroll: $545

So, we finished Day 1

Graph:

Ended up losing most of the 4 and 6 x's. Which in short meant we are down for the day, but I feel the play was generally good, we had our fair share of recreational players dumping their chips with no equity so all in a all a good day.

BR: $533

Gonna go ahead and cook dinner now, saw a nice recipe (has youtube tutorial) so yeah... lets see how that goes.

Hell of a day at the office today, requests poored in from all sides, bleah. Also received info today about having to attend an official dinner tomorrow which kinda sucks cause I wasn't able to find a suitable jacket to buy. #firstworldproblems I know, rite?

In other news played a small ~2h session and felt like I played decent, ran good so yeah, guess I just have to wait for the washing machine to finish and then I'll jump in bed, tomorrows Friday Funday and I kinda think about that dinner and how many valuable grinding hours it will eat up.

Graph for today:

We're playing 3s right now, with a comfortable bankroll of $570 and the $30 in stars charity. Will probably give a 20BI shot at the 7s once we reach the $700 BR marker.

Total misplay of the day:

PokerStars - 10/20 NL (3 max) - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (SB): 24 BB
BB: 27 BB (VPIP: 31.25, PFR: 36.36, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 18)
BTN: 24 BB (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 50.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 7 A

fold, Hero raises to 2 BB, BB calls 1 BB

Flop: (4 BB, 2 players) 3 T 6
Hero checks, BB bets 1.75 BB, Hero calls 1.75 BB

Turn: (7.5 BB, 2 players) K
Hero bets 4.5 BB, BB calls 4.5 BB

River: (16.5 BB, 2 players) 9
Hero bets 8 BB, BB raises to 18.75 BB and is all-in, fold

BB wins 32.5 BB

Flop reasoning was that it's not such a good board to cbet as it kinda hits his range so I check and he bets 35 and I think ok, I have a good floating hand so I call, when the K hits the turn, I was like hmm this is a good card to barrel so I bet 90, he calls and I bet a little more than half pot with the intention of representing that K, he calls and the darn 9 comes so I barrel again to try and keep my story up, but I knew I had to fold to a shove. Guess I kinda misread that hand, oh well, happens. Should have probably cbet the flop but on that run out considering he would call flop and turn I would have still went for 3 streets ... so i might have saved a few chips with the play.

If anyone has any thoughts for the hand, please share.

Thank you for reading, good night.

Well... i guess you can only run hot for so long until it hits ya in the face with a 20BI swing, but since it's standard I will accept it and embrace it. the session today gave me tons of hands to review tomorrow after we wake up with a hangover.

So graph of the day:

It really got the blood flowing for the weekend grind. Now lets go drink, gla!

Good evening spewbots,

Not really proud of my grinding schedule these last few days, but considering the fact that Saturday I was a hung potato and sunday ... well it was sunny and some german friends were in town so... beeeeer also went to see the US-version of Harry Potter, magical creatures and where to find them... no spoiler... I liked it, but yet again I'm easy to satisfy with fantasy movies.

All in all December so far looks like a good cEV month with 76 so far (116 spins sample, small I know)

So last 2 days of playing spins graph:

some interesting hands noted these last 2 days against some very aggro players, I guess I will have to work on my ranges in regards to them as I feel I call too much oop against non-all in iso's so I guess I'd better develop a wider 3bet shoving range against them. We will see tomorrow since we have just a few hours after work to review hands before going for a work dinner. yeeey, exciting! In other news I realised there's just 3 more weeks and Christmas is here and we're going home for a few days. Huuuraaaay for that.

I guess those were all the things I wanted to tell myself today.

Ah, also new playlist: SOUNDCLOUD

Enjoy your evening and gla!

So I'm back with an update on my last week of playing.

It's been an up and down battle against myself mostly, since I have a huge leak in regards to my limp stab game which I discovered and I'm currently working on repairing it. Basically I'm stabbing way to little flops in limped pots (like 50%) and I need to get that number at 70%-75% cause the winrate is -57 chips, at this point I'd be better off just folding every SB in 3way play.

The run hot is also over as far as this week was concerned, did a review session today.

Goals on things to improve:
- Increase limp stab to 70%-75% (3way)
- Increase VPIP in HU play 13-16 BB and 18+ BB from 80%/83% to 90%/95% (need to get more post flop experience)
- Increase VPIP from BU in 3way play from 35% to 40% basically including suited one/two/three gappers in the range along side with K5s+ in 18BB+

Bankroll sits at a steady: $574 + $49 in rb

Graph:

11 more days and we're going home for Christmas, so very happy about that. Also looking into getting an ultra portable like a mac air or a win laptop, can't really decide so far, sort of like a gift to myself from Santa.

Found out the cute girl from the bakery downstairs is also Romanian (she was talking on the phone in romanian), which is kinda cute, but now I really dunno how to open a "wanna go out" conversation without her thinking i'm like... a creep. (i go there everyday to buy food) Come to realize living all by myself these last few months with a close to 0 social life made my "ladies game" so so bad. Meh...

Until next time, gla!

So 10 days since the last update:

Not much poker going on, since I was pulling 60h work weeks. Weeehaaaa! just two more days till vacation. Was thinking of mixing in some cash games (regular tables) I really want to get better at that too as I believe the cash game dynamic is really fascinating.

Ola peeps,

I haven't been active almost at all in playing the last 3 weeks, holidays, then back to work and all, which was really hectic at the start of the new year. But on a good news, I'm going back home for a longer period at the end of January and I'm super excited about going back to family and friends, as just working a 9-5 is killing me softly, at this point I'd rather die dirty poor than working in a company for my whole life. I'm kinda at the point where I'd really like to re-think everything I want from life.

From a poker perspective, I'd like to try and get better at tournament play as I feel I was a complete donk for most of my past, so if anyone has any good resource to start with please share.

For all you Star Wars fans out there: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...yMYWjeUYT74gAw

I just relistened to this trilogy and it was as delicious as the first time I've listened to it, so if you haven't yet, I greatly recommend it.

So.... all the best to you all in this 2017!
