+$205 during heat playoff game. Going to take a break and fire up another session tonight. Played real well, didn't even run that good.

Really nice gesture but I was thinking I would bring the family and get a hotel on the beach. Mainly a vacation with just 2or3 nights of poker thrown in.

If I ever decide to make a solo trip I will definitely keep the offer in mind.

Good luck op. Run it up, run it up!!!

Then I would look at Fort Lauderdale Beach area. The W Hotel is super nice and pretty awesome for a family, tons to do. Your budget will determine where you stay though. Thanks again for the run good, good luck

It's a super sicko story and you're right on your assumptions. As I said, I will do a detailed trip report one of these days. But not now, it's too soon.

Where would you recommend staying close to the hard rock?
You could always stay AT the Hard Rock. Its 10-15 minutes from the beach.

Appreciate the info MS. I wasn't even sure if hard rock had a hotel. I thought it may have been like BB in Jacksonville, just a poker room. Probably a dumb question but is hard rock a full fledge casino or just a poker room? I could stop being lazy and look it up I guess.

Last time I visited best bet action was really good. I hated the 500 cap on 2/5 though.

Hardrock is a hotel/entertainment center. It's an adult playground with clubs, restaurants, hotel, casino, poker room, etc... there's probably 20-30 different venues at the hardrock.

2/5 at hardrock is 200-600... you can play deepstack 2/5, 400-1200

How do you differentiate the normal 2/5 game from the deep stack on bravo?
I only see 3 - 2/5 going there right now?

That's probably because there is no deepstack running. It doesn't run often, only unless you start the list or it is running. In my experience if you start it, they will come.

Support... THANK YOU COMMUNITY!!! (2+2 U DA BEST)

I'm almost at a loss for words, but will give you guys a short 'offical' update.

I want to tell you guys everything that has happened over the past few days, but that would be incredibly tiresome.

I have been updating a lot more over at my 2+2 thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...-100k-1582302/) with my progress. The community over there has been nothing but amazing and incredibly supportive. What happened is a few members from the 2+2 community, who play professionally down here in South Florida, have taken an interest in me and have basically opened their minds up for me to pick at and are currently giving me some private 1-on-1 coaching. The support I've received has been mind-blowing, nothing like this has ever happened to me in the poker world. I'm truly humbled and honored. I just want to keep improving my poker game and willing to do whatever it takes to become better and better. It's time to take this **** to the next level, officially.

I'm at my lowest right now, financially. The only way to go is up and I'm so stoked for the adventure ahead. The amount of knowledge that I've absorbed and have yet to absorb is INVALUABLE. The topics I'm diving into with some of these people is going to help me for the rest of my life in so, so, so many ways.

It just keeps getting better and better. I just had someone at Hardrock come up and say "you're the kid with the blog right? I want to talk to you". We talked for a solid hour after our session in the parking lot about poker life. He was so open and just like willing to just help me with any question I had about ANYTHING! It gave me goosebumps as I was talking with him. It felt surreal to be talking about something I love so much to another person that loves it just as much. The thing is, he is where I want to be. He has done what I'm doing and is on the other side, success. He went through everything I'm dealing with and was able to tell me all about it. I want what he has! If you read this bro, thank you for taking that time with me and I so look forward to talking with you more. I want to write all about it and I will, but it's going to take some serious brain power. I have to process all this information I'm absorbing from all these awesome people. Then I still have to question everything and decipher through it. I'm just so excited for poker right now, it's unreal. I'm going to pull this off.
Guess I'm just going to have to write a book here one day.

I'll update again soon, but for now... Head over to the 2+2 thread for more daily updates and more back and forth conversations.

That's all for right now...

As always.... Best of luck out there guys and gals, especially at the tables... but for once, just not mine.

Mike, I'm assuming he saw some pictures of me because I have posted pics and really haven't tried to keep myself anonymous. I realize by me not staying anon that it could hurt my winrate in several ways and give me some extra grief/frustration to deal with.. But on the flip side, it's events like this that I'm glad I'm not staying anonymous. I think for myself, the added value of 'throwing myself out there' and making it public, is going to out-weigh the negatives.

I came across this guy, who is a former drill sergeant in the US Army. Use your fears as motivation. I'm going to play my best tonight, good luck out there.

Had set over set, I was on the bottom side, flopped a set of 3's, beat by a set of 9's on the turn. Had my AA get beat, but I folded on a KK4 flop, when the kid led out $35 into a $65 pot, from UTG, after I raised $15 preflop and got called in 4 spots. He showed the K.

+$75 for the day @ 5 hours.

I know the results don't matter... But since I'm rebuilding I will be posting my results, since it determines if I can continue playing. Until I am sufficiently bankrolled, you guys will know my roll. I basically have two full buy-ins right now for $1/2.

I did have to pay $120 in bill's/necessities today, which would have almost been a half buy-in more for my bankroll... Gotta take care of responsibilities though, it makes me feel better about my life in general. When I put off small things, I have this guilt attached to it. It even affects me at the poker table. It will creep into my mind and takes away from my thought process going on for the game I am currently sitting in. Paying that $120, will allow me to play poker better. Even though I really need that $120, the fact that I took care of my responsibilities and have that weight lifted. The act of completing tasks, pertinent to my well-being, makes me feel good, allowing me to play to the best of my ability and focus more on the task of playing poker.

I have a coaching session tomorrow. Stoked for it.

Try doubling that at least. Hell, even in the middle of the night with no traffic at all it would take 20 minutes to get to either Hollywood Beach or Ft. Lauderdale.

When playing a nitty style to try and build the roll table selection is very important. The wildest games are not the best when you are short on money.

Solid Day

Got to Hardrock around 11:30 this morning, ready to play like a super nit. I played solid, nothing too spectacular. I made $65 in 2 hours. I had some errands to do, before I had to head up to The Isle in Pompano for my coaching session. I got to Isle around 3:30, met the 2+2'er that offered me his services and sat down at $1/2 to play. Thanks a ton for doing this with me, if you read this. I really appreciate the time you took out of your day to spend it with me. Looking forward to diving deeper into our session and figure some things out.

I played solid and won $226. The big hand went like this. A new player sat down in seat 7, who seemed competent. He was a younger guy, mid 30's. He was UTG and limped in. MP1, MP2 limped in and I was in the CO and looked down at JJ. I raised to $15. Only the guy in seat 7 called. I was about $180 deep, I thought he only had $80 (red chips and a few white), but he really had two blacks(more like grey) that I didn't see.

Flop ($38) 344 r - he checks, I bet 10, he calls
Turn ($58) 7 - he checks, and I take most of my stack and slide it forward (it was about $120)...
He looks at me and says, "do you realize I have two blacks?" "Why are you so scared? You bet $10 on the flop then $105 on the turn? What the hell?", I didn't say a word, but I really didn't see the blacks (more like grey/white, they were really hard to tell apart from $1 chip). I'm praying he calls me at this point as I know I have him smashed... He did something even better.. He then tanks for about 2 minutes and finally puts me all-in. I snap call and he flips over 55 and he says "man I just leveled myself with you"...
River ($380) K - dealer ships me the pot.

I played for another few orbits and cashed out, +$226 for the session and almost +$300 for the day. Huge day for broke me. I had about $80 in expenses today that I had to take care of. I'm getting everything paid off, so the only thing I have to worry about this month is my bankroll for the poker table. No other outside expenses will have to be taken out of the roll for the rest of the month, which is awesome.

***1st PICTURE COMMENT*** This week, not spewing.

Tomorrow I plan on playing a real solid session. I'm so happy with how I have been playing $1/2 lately. I'm taking great lines, making good reads, putting pressure on in the right spots and just playing solid in general. Not like the spewtard at $2/5 I was playing like... My winrate isn't going to be nearly as high as it was, but the downswings shouldn't cripple me like they used to.

Quick question, why so many short sessions of late? There is only 1 answer I'm looking for?

I don't want too much money on the table. I'm literally hitting and running if the table isn't amazing. I also figured I'm only playing poker if I'm going to play my absolute best. The amount of money I lose or win when I'm even slightly tilted isn't worth the amount of agony or 'good feeling' that it produces. I'd rather be happy with my play and happy when I go home that I played well, not tilted and spewy. My happiness outside of poker is more important than having my win-rate improved by +2bb's/hour by staying at the table when I'm slightly tilted or not playing at my absolute max potential. I don't know how much sense that makes, but basically I'm putting in less hours, but playing those hours with more focus and play good.

I'm keeping my session shorter so I stay more focused. I also don't want people catching on to how tight I am playing. It seems after about 2 hours people are getting frustrated at my NITness and are generally vocal about it (table dependent). Cutting my sessions shorter allows me to reset my image for the most part, start 'fresh', and will make me happier off the table.

Perfect answer: not having so much money on the table is exactly what I was hoping you would say. The image aspect is great also and something I didn't think about. Again op I think you are seeing the light.
