Getting very frustrated with the atmosphere from the masses regarding potential changes to PS.

as I find it unlikely that Amaya is determined to destroy stars. I also feel that the poker economy poker isn't simply going to die. It will always be here and will change like like anything does be it music/films/art/sport and it is up to us as individuals to make of it what we want.

Basically I am going to show heart and not let any naysayers get me down!

Don't want to post in the other thread, but it's obv not the end of poker.

Amaya's immediate decision isn't good for some ppl, but i'm sure they have ran simulations/models, and poker will not just die.

Some guys will quit poker for sure because of this. 6max hypers I can't imagine still having same no. of games running with no vpp goals to chase.

Have to wait and see the rest of the changes, and how stars plan on reinforcing the banning of huds. And if Negreanu is actually lying over whether this is just a money grab, or the money is going to be distributed to the losing players (still a money grab- since more go into rake eventually) and effective rake isn't just increased at all levels.

Like a lot of players both recreational and reg I am nervous of all the rumoured changes that are allegedly soon to be taken place. The poker community is in danger of talking itself into a recession and I believe to restore some confidence you should consider releasing some official statements putting players at ease over...

1. The safety of their bankrolls
2. What exactly is likely to happen to the future of HUDs - in lehmans terms.
3. The future of anonymous play or the lack of it.

At the very least your representatives should be more active in the key 2p2 threads where most of these rumours are milling around.

I for one am simply getting nervous at the safety of my bankroll but even more so the incredible uncertainly of constantly "threatened" changes that are then left up in the air is very demotivating and disconcerting for people deciding whether to log in or not.

Every thread I read has regular posters making negative comments about the state of on-line poker. I AM GETTING SICK OF IT. This was my latest reply to one such poster. If anyone else wants to say claim that poker is dead or dying and that it is as result of selfish actions from a small group of people this is my response:

Please can everyone stop posting these depressing comments, it is so boring. Post something constructive and informative. It is tantamount to a smear campaign against the very companies that you wish to thrive. It is not just mass tabling regs that read these threads.

If you have nothing positive to say. Do not say it at all.

In honestly though, if it is negative thats fine; as long as it comes with some criticism or ways to improve. If its purely cynical and pessimistic talk then thats a whole nother ball game

it'll take a lot to create a market available that caters to regs with high volume but for Amaya it's just a whole new market they can get money from and that is not necessarily a negative but a positive if it is Amaya's intention to bring all the networks internationally with the US markets if legislation ever allows it...not saying it will help rake or SNE any though

meh this change will very clearly have the following results:

massgrinders who relied on rakeback to pay the bills in forats such as SNGs and to some extent Cash games will be forced to

a) reduce volume and improve
b) move down where their skill is enough to beat the games without improving

this in turn will reduce winrates of the regs of their respective pools reducing everybodys overall bottom line apart from the absolute crushers who will salivate over this development

i do agree that people with the right mindset will thrive in that they will have an easier time moving up provided hard work but overall a lot of regs will be forced to quit or switch formats.

which brings me to the last point.

regs who are driven into a corner due to lack of skill or willingness to put effort into improving their game will switch to MTTs as its common knowledge that they are easily beatable, diluting the player pool, worsening the reg:fish ratio even further and in essence also decrease most regs' winrates in that format.

that has nothing to do with negativity its a simple fact. one which we obv can adjust to but one that will simply become reality if those changes actually happen.

hey dude, yhhhh ive been not too productive last few weeks btu i have decided I will just be thinking about how I can best move foward. obv i can change nothing to do with stars and can only control certain things. so that is what i plan on doing.

if it is gg. zero regrets! favourite memories is probably the VIP Berlin party in '14 I went to that and winning the bigger 11 and big 109!

If it wasn't poker I would have probably attempted to use my economics degree and got some terrible job somewhere.

Poker has helped make me really happy so I will continue to make of it what I can.

anyway looking foward I will try and beat whatever games I can and try and be as flexible as I need to be, despite that not being a strong suit of mine.


Last few weeks have been Meh at best.

Looking foward to xmas and then starting a fresh 2016 already Still do not know what kind of grind I will be doing tomorrow.
