Re: Solid's 2015

500 hands left of my challenge with watergun.

Today I got completely smashed up. I was totally outclassed. I did run pretty bad at the same time but the two factors came together to cause me to become a whiny, sore loser. So I apologise to watergun for that. I didn't get out of line at all. I just bitched like a little ***** which isn't in the spirit of the game that I asked for in the first place.

We had a chat later about it and he made me feel better. So cheers for that bro.

Congrats to him though because he totally outclassed me tonight.

I have work to do. I have a lot of work to do.

Everyone always has
I remember even Jorj95 saying he considers himself far from opt. play and having lots of room for improvement in his main game, not long time ago.
Hit me up for hand discussion btw, u have my skype, don't u?

Re: Solid's 2015

^Ty for the vote of confidence bro.

Thanks for the match so far. I have learnt so much through playing and thinking about 100bb hucash. It's been an invaluable experience (props for someone who will play me without sitting out...).

I ran pretty good last session obv- and yeah it can get to you playing HU more than most forms of poker. Obv it's now pretty hard for you to win, but I hope you got something out of it.

Re: Solid's 2015

if you just wanted to win a HU match, why didn't you ask me to play?

Sure we can find a HU 2nl game with a $50 side bet?

Re: Solid's 2015

I think his justification was me playing too wide oop. But imo one of his leaks was playing faaaaar too tight.

Re: Solid's 2015

Fwiw for the 4x size- his preflop range was pretty good. It's hard to exploit the large sizing with 3bets if he is opening around 70% at most (although I win money when he folds buttons...).

Re: Solid's 2015

interesting - cheers wg7 - not as exploitable as I initially assumed then (I have virtually zero hu cash exp. tbh)

Re: Solid's 2015

4x at deep stacks is by no means bad imo. But it should be pretty bad if you ONLY use that size since you cannot have a high vpip on button.

To exploit someone you don't necessarily have to play back so much. For example, here- if someone is only 4xing and playing 70% there isn't much you can do- but you are already gaining from the times that he folds buttons.

^This vid is pretty old (and some actual hand advice in it is pretty bad), but this is the general idea. I also recommend watching the vid on minimal exploitative play by Alex Sutherland (creator of GTORB).

Re: Solid's 2015

it's been a while, but just posting to say cheers for the links to wg7 - gto one was a bit above my current level tbh, but I got the general ideas - very good stuff Alex has done in those blogs as well

@st: it was a genuine q'n btw, 'cos I sorta assumed there must be a specific reason for it - wasn't being funny/meant to be critical or condescending in any way - also, sorry for temporarily infiltrating your blog btw, GLGL!
