So frustrated, last attempt at poker. So frustrated, last attempt at poker.

I've been playing poker on and off for about three years now. Over those three years, I have mainly played NL cash at the micro stakes and I have made a slight profit. However, in no way shape or form have I ran anywhere close to EV. Whenever I would go on a nice heater, it was always followed by coolers of around the same magnitude where other players would just constantly suck out. I would honestly not change my game, and although at first tilting was an issue, in the latter portion of my playing, I got my tilt under control.
Playing at the micro stakes, I guess I should expect a -EV since the majority of players are not very good and I rarely put it in behind. So it is hard for my EV to "even out" when I don't often put it in bad, but it is none the less frustrating. To give you an indication of how I run, the link below is from my last 100K hands.

The graph is from my most recent "attempt/run," and it is mainly from 5NL 6max and some 10NL 6 max. So that difference in ~ 300$ is mainly with 5$ BIs, which is ALOT of BIs under EV. It only shows 100K hands since it is from my most recent "comeback" in poker and I wanted a fresh start in PT3. I have ~700K worth of hands though showing me running way under EV.

I normally put in money, start winning, get hit by the "-EV bug," and quit in frustration vowing to never play again. This time I cut it short because I am finishing my degree and wanted to finish strong. However, as soon as this month ends, I will be making one last attempt at doing well in online poker.

I will be switching from cash to SNGs and MTTs (yes, I know the variance is higher) and I will give a decent motivated shot at it until the end of the year. I will post updates etc, and I am excited to focus on SNGs and MTTs instead of cash. Hopefully my heaters will result in deep runs so that my profits will out way my losses more than in cash. Wish me luck! <3

Good luck bro, but judging on how you've set this up and more so the title of the thread itself, you need to work on your attitude to the game before you can hope being a winning player. Get your head down and do some studying and get mega confident in your game before you pick up a single card would be my advice, but yeah gl.

Yah, that is a great point, thanks for the advice. I am seeing this as a fresh start in a sense, so kind of wiping the slate clean and going in with new confidence and optimism. Hopefully it works out!
