I'm looking to make from home, seeing as they getting a full time job is not exactly easy - in my case. See I'm in a wheelchair and working is not an option and for the last 10 years I've been wanting to find a way to profit from playing poker without any success. The time is to do it but one of my biggest flaws is that I have been unable to follow any sort of bankroll management. To stick with it and not just for a week lol but yeah, I'd say that most of the people who play poker and keep depositing over and over again, well it isn't because I don't know how to play the game but they don't know how to manage their money. The more you think about it everything in life comes down to managing your money correctly. Having patience and discipline is going to be key in this challenge being a successful one
Anyways... back to the challenge
The reason why I'm starting this challenge is that I want to go to my bank roll. I was going do this playing MTTs but seeing as though I can't multi table more than 2 tables at a time, I'm using my laptop - small screen etc etc and the variance is huge - all in all it's not practical that approach. So that is why I settled on using triple up sit and go's rather than MTTs. The plan is stick to ( triple up) sit and go's and avoid the cash tables as I lose money on a regular basis on those tables.. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!
In terms of bankroll I've started with $64 or about 21 buy-ins. I know this is not ideal but that is what was available to me in my account - so that's was my starting point - $64 - in terms of volume I've been able to play about 70 odd sit and go's per week or roughly about 10 a day. I don't have a lot going on right now so I have the free time , to put 4 hours into this per day.
So far I've played 70 odd ( triple up) sit and go's, with promising results so far even tho it's early days and it won't be until I've played 300 sit and go's but I will be able to get a better idea of how I'm doing. Right now it's just a case of being patient and disciplined in terms of bankroll management. Hopefully the rest falls into place, fingers crossed.
These are my guidelines:
Quote:
To play NL Holdém (Triple-Up) $3 I will need a $64 bankroll
To play NL Holdém (Triple-Up) $7 I will need a $280 bankroll
To play NL Holdém (Triple-Up) $15 I will need a $600 bankroll
To play NL Holdém (Triple-Up) $30 I will need a $1,200 bankroll
My bankroll has gone from $64 to $112.34 over the last week playing 60 odd sit and go's.
