Hi everyone,
I'm going to attempt to achieve Supernova Elite this year playing CAP games starting at $1/$2.
I'm a 21 year old student in my 2nd year at UWE (University of the West of England, Bristol) studying Accounting and Finance.
I started playing poker with real life friends from around the age of 15 and donking around on the partypoker freerolls etc. I used to crush the homegames I used to play just being a super aggro maniac
. Anyway, after a few live casino and local pub game wins, I decided I was gods gift to poker and would play some 25nl. I spewed away some money and decided to take a break from online poker whilst I was working and studying at college.
At the end of 2010, my friend B3RTstare told me about short stacking and he had been doing some studying and decided he was going to take a shot at supernova elite and suggested I do the same.
After some runbad and non-optimal play, i managed to get to around 220k vpp's before running out of bankroll. My friend had similar results, except he had a bigger bankroll, so he was able to work and study through this to achieve Supernova Elite and be one of a few players to take home a healthy profit at CAP.
This year I am back with vengeance. I've been getting some coaching from B3RTstare and we've spent a lot of time studying the game coming up with improvements to his already established strategy. I feel very strongly about this strategy, but only time will tell.
Last year I spent most of my time playing $0.5/$1 CAP where there are hardly any winners at all, but this year I have a bankroll that is allowing me start off at $1/$2 (the stakes my friend had the most experience at last year) and then adjust accordingly throughout the year using good bankroll management.
I will post my progress both here and in my blog. (details on my profile)
