Day 43/60

Here is the graph for day 43:



As you can tell by the graph. Day 43 was not great. I honestly thought I was going to hit 10bb/100 for the challenge but this day just broke my dreams. My first session of the day went for 90 minutes and managed to lose 13 buyins across zone and reg. I reviewed the hands today and sent them to a few of my friends and I think 3 of the buyins were tilt/bad and the rest were just standard spots. A lot of preflop allins.

Managed to come back and play a 2 hour session and broken even. The third session went for an hour after I experienced a similar session to the first. Overall not a great day.

Believe he said he was playing a couple regular tables on top of the zone tables and the graph is prob just zone only.

Yeah sorry - I play reg tables on side which I am not documenting. Challenge material only zone related. I ended up down 10 buyins zone and 7 reg for the day

Day 45/60

No volume for day 45. Public holiday (ANZAC Day) so went to the pub and drank. For those of you who not from Australia, its a day to commemorate the army veterans from the world war. Its also a day where its legal to gamble on a game called 2 up (basically a coin toss) so great day for degens to gamble rake free.

Back on the grind today so will get a video out tomorrow.

that last hand is why playing on an anon site is so frustrating

playing a lot of $25 Zone I see the dude flatting behind as having a hand like KQ a lot. river bet I'd probably fold after the one call but then again I pretty much never make big ambitious bluffs like that in an anon game

Would a call with AA have been so bad, considering the price? You could have the best hand sometimes vs zone idiots imo. I don't like bu's river bet sizing with a boat, surely should have jammed it 3 way vs flushes. Interesting hand.

I think call with AA in this spot is very very very bad. I wanted to fold but then sb flatted and i was like hmmmm there is so much "dead" money here. I have nut flush blocker and value ranges are super narrow here so lets go for it.

Another lackluster day at the office. Great volume though and played reasonably well throughout the day. I wish this rut came 1 week later, would've been nice to finish this last part of the challenge strong.

Man these past few session graphs are looking very similar to mine, starting off decent some days getting up 2-4.5 BIs then just crashing down hard. Some point where you just literally can not win a single hand in that pool gets to be so tilting, I maybe should try out resetting to 100bb stacks myself lol. Anyway best of luck on the last ~10k or so hands hopefully sick heater incoming to finish it out.

I think I found my new favourite hand

AA river bluff, I mentioned it in YT comments but I will here as well... I think in practice you're probably just value betting river yourself when SB checks to you. For that reason I don't think you get 6x or any flushes (i.e. entire BTN range) to fold - because yeah you rep really strong but it's also pretty unlikely you take this line with much. Having Ah removal isn't too relevant here I don't think. Nice ballz tho.

Also not sure what typical 6max preflop construction looks like these days but I don't think 33 is ever a 3bet BB vs LP? Is anyone else ever really doing this?

Even if that's the case, wouldn't we want our junkier 3bets to have slightly better playability? Like 25s/26s etc? Also how can one guage an LP fold23bet stat in a zone format? Certainly population isn't folding this much overall...
