About time to make one last grind before studies starting at Autumn. This week is still vacation, although I plan to play few tournaments to get in touch.

Out of 6 weeks plan is to grind 3 full weeks of MTT promos mostly and other 3 weeks is mostly for leisure and resting. That should make around 300 hours, and goal is to make no less than +20k€.

I will have somewhat flexible bankroll management for this plan (usually 50k bankroll -> no more than 50 abi), although I am planning to lesser variance by selling some action to 55+ games (mostly Party weekly LB and O8's, maybe some other majors if I get easy tickets).

As you can see it's hot in here (usually summer is like 15-20 celsius and raining)... if next week continues as hot it's likely I will try to do grind weeks 2, 4 and 6 (in other words, first, third and fifth week of August).

Studies start 3rd of September, so there's lots to do before that. After that, I concentrate on studies so not much poker at least until next summer.

As it is 33 degrees of Celsius inside and it looks like next week continues at same pace -> let's enjoy good weather and forget about poker for now. Might sit down and play some night enjoying colder temperatures, but this is probably hottest summer in Finland that I have ever experienced so better enjoy it.

33 degrees in Finland is insane RIP the icecaps.

Yeah not so much value now in the leaderboards - maybe you'll sneak in for a $5k ticket playing 50s and 100s but not too sure.

Low leaderboard has gone crazy at the top, still some value in the middle.

Party screwed up with the high leaderboard. Same guys keep winning and the whole point of the promotion was to help fill the millions tournament in November!!

Tbh though the low leaderboard is kinda stupid too. Buyins from 27 cent to $44 dollars included - how many regs even want to play the 27 cent games lol?

Damn I wish that Summer in Australia never got hotter than 33 degrees Celsius... It was 45 degrees in Melbourne a few months ago.

Good luck with your challenge!

Thanks for the wellwishes. Gonna need it, as weather tells me it is six weeks goes to five so little marginal of error (unless ofc hit something). And yeah, those LBs are really screwed over, but last year showed up that foul play + collusion + PartyPokers inability to do anything against it is even worse problem. Not too much problem with people winning many tickets per se, but promotion is far too difficult and requires too much time and money for regular people (myself included) usually to participate.

I am heading to the beach and swim. That's very rare as water rarely is warm enough. Tomorrow I will go to short cruise so party party.

Of course if it would actually be hot like this I would have air conditioning ready... but as 99% problem here is that it is too cold no reason to worry about this too much.

No games so far, except some casino bonus hunting. Looks unlikely that I play next week either, I've never seen such warm weather @ Finland during my lifetime. Of course there's been some weather like this but this kind of weather is rare and has never lasted over 2 weeks. I am sweating at home even when not doing anything since it is 30+ degrees inside... not really up to fire long sessions.

I will however try to play some evening poker sessions this (and next) week. It's been about 1,5 months since I last played even a small session, so really not the best idea to jump @ 55+ games right away. It's also a slim hope that if I run well at the early in the week I MIGHT be able to play 2 consecutive weeks by skipping some early / late tournements but not counting on it.

Weather forecast shows "Sunny and 26+ degrees" for next 10 days as well.

Just gathered a calendar consisting some kind of regular tournament offering for 18-04 EET. In other words hilo's and latereg r/a:s. Any suggestions for tournaments or sites?

It'll be mostly Finnish, but feel free to say hello and check how bad my game is after 1,5 months break.

6h 17 tournaments. Pretty nice, last 22 PLO8 omania fell to 9th place but got 22r mincash + this.

Also got +200€ from small casino bonus so pretty nice night for about +1,4k€.

Quote

A short session. Bit disappointing, as 6th place @ 55 NLO8 PKO hyper and mincash @ 20r could have easily been more, but those brought buy-ins back and I got 250 live$$$ profit from 4 hours session. Not bad.

I also made a request few hours ago to change 22 1R1A Big Antes (tournament which never launched) to this exact format, and my request was fulfilled quickly. If you don't complain or suggest changes, you get nothing... this really well suits my program + it's far more likely to launch so it's win-win-win-scenario.

Quick 3 hour session, I was quite tired but decided to play and stream @ twitch to get my sleep pattern better. Was rather cold run, but managed to get 12r mincash and get 250 live$$$ so marginally profitable small session.

Sunday probably next twitch and session... might play @ Saturday though.

Didn't play much weekend, Sunday missed mainly because of numerous technical problems. Did lose a bit after playing about 10 tournaments. Overall still all well as got few nice sessions and new tournament calendar done.

This weeks aim: 150 good-value tournaments played. No leaderboard tournaments though, with about 30€ abi should make around / over 2k€. Just started a twitch stream, feel free to say hello: https://www.twitch.tv/farseerfinland

Well, awful start for week. Monday was somewhat decent, got some sats right and counting them about +300€ for 5 hours, today got 0 chance (bubbled 27, just one mincash) and -400€, like this eff. bubbled sat:

7 left 5 215 seater

Party, $10 Buy-in (10,000/20,000 blinds, 2,500 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 3 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): 265,982 (13.3 bb)
BB: 207,960 (10.4 bb)
BTN: 842,494 (42.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J J
BTN raises to 839,994 and is all-in, Hero calls 253,482 and is all-in, BB folds

Flop: (554,464) 4 Q 6 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Turn: (554,464) K (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: (554,464) 9 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Results: 554,464 pot
Final Board: 4 Q 6 K 9
Hero showed J J and lost (-265,982 net)
BTN showed 4 K and won 554,464 (288,482 net)

Got no feeling for long sessions either way. Another try @ Thursday.

This week:

Hours: 5 (10)
Tournaments: 17 (39/150)

Motivation calendar

So, 10 hour session = purple (500€). Should be doable, even when not having my best touch. 4 sessions per week when doing full-time, maybe 1 sessions (more like 2 short ones) when studying and it should well be enough to make ends meet. Of course with this calendar profit will be mostly live$$$ / 215$ tickets which I have to playthrough but shouldn't be a problem.

Just when it feels that poker sucks, trying to remember that it's better to play this and be millionaire before 40 instead of having something regular job until I am 70 to get retired.

Back @ game Thursday.

Super disappointing session result-wise. No luck in Texas, all major aces were cracked for lots of value and just few mincashes + 1 215$ ticket. On Omaha Hi-Lo things were bit more positive, got 400$ worth of bounties @ 82$ NLO8 hyper but extremely promising deeprun went out for mincash. Also got one small win:

Constant disconnections @ PartyPoker also were somewhat costly. Super sad that site which claims that it is aiming to be major poker site again can't handle such basic things as reliable software + servers. On better side MPN network is really making progress (not talking about new software here, I am continuing to use old as long as I can) as new tournaments and structures are really nice.

Overall 7,5 hour session... as last tournaments busted very coldly @ about 30 min from good positions to just 2 mincashes and some tournaments were cancelled I decided not to make session longer. 34 tournaments total is quite good number.

Result-wise about that one 215$ ticket profit and whatever PartyPoker decides to refund me (should be about 100$ probably they'll give me 50$ because they always stiff us players.

This week:

Hours: 7,5 (17,5)
Tournaments: 34 (73/150)

Might be not making 150, planning to have long session @ Sunday and at least half-session either Friday or Saturday. We'll see.

Quick session which started like a worst nightmare (lots of stuff like QQ < 88 (opp call-called almost 30bb), AJo < K8s (opp bet-called UTG vs. UTG+1), AAxx < A22x etc. kind of stuff. But got some promising runs in last few tournaments but 5th place @ small field 22r turbo and another 5th place @ small field 11r turbo just brought most of the buy-ins back. Marginally winning session though as got bit more live$$$

Hours: 4,5 (23)
Tournaments: 14 (87/150)

Tomorrow aim is to fire long session and also to get a good start for next weeks leaderboard.

Well, latest session was 90+% painful. At least got these two.

Small 55r turbo:

And 22r 10k:

Also 215 ticket and 250 live$$$. Overall result still bit disappointing (well under 2k€). And weekly result quite meh.

Because lots of cancelled tournaments (mostly PokerStars and MPN) I am pretty okay with amount of tournaments:

Hours: 11,5 (34,5)
Tournaments: 43 (130/150)

I'll save you from other beats (there were LOTS of them) but really LB grind didn't start well...

22 left 16 paid 12,5k (97 players so big overlay and bubble)

Party, $100 Buy-in (6,000/12,000 blinds, 1,500 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 7 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: 1,124,698 (93.7 bb)
Hero (BB): 225,243 (18.8 bb)
MP1: 865,831 (72.2 bb)
MP2: 376,316 (31.4 bb)
MP3: 356,054 (29.7 bb)
CO: 127,782 (10.6 bb)
BTN: 395,083 (32.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T T
MP1 calls 12,000, MP2 calls 12,000, 2 folds, BTN calls 12,000, SB completes, Hero raises to 223,743 and is all-in, 2 folds, BTN raises to 393,583 and is all-in, SB folds

Flop: (493,986) A 6 8 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Turn: (493,986) Q (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: (493,986) 3 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Results: 493,986 pot
Final Board: A 6 8 Q 3
Hero showed T T and lost (-225,243 net)
BTN showed 8 8 and won 493,986 (268,743 net)

Plan to play leaderboard this week is probably aborted. PartyPoker is lagging max, can't even reach @ their support page. Most actions take X seconds to take effect and getting often folded + sit-outed. At some point couldn't even sit back / re-open the table.

Play highstakes @ PartyPoker and get ****ed up in the *** every single time unless you are a house or stable player seems to be their choice of action.
Quote

Well played anyways. Lots of semibubbles in regular tournaments especially, deepruns with big stacks going busto for small cashes in leaderboard. Last 55 PKO still running, 34 tournaments in total... DDoS caused Party problems, Stars problems, not many tournaments launching @ MPN and as I kept 6 tables max so no more tournaments and result is roughly -500€ for Garfield-style Monday. Over 13 hours session already, hard game.

Sold some action from tomorrow Power Series tournaments to combat variance (got 35% sold already, 50% preferred) so can have avg. buy-in 50€ or under that (tight bankroll management, aim to have at least 1000x buy-in purely poker bankroll). Will lose some value for sure, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Been pretty good week. No major scores, but few 2k$ cashes and LB is certain 5300T$. So twitching today with more regular schedule than thought: https://www.twitch.tv/farseerfinland

No big scores and Sunday was awful, but gross profit +10,2k€ (out of which shares to those who bought % of Party games +1,8k€) so net profit +8,4k€. Managed to get good early week in the leaderboard so could take rest of the week easier.

Ma 16h 34
Ti 14h 37
Ke 10h 29
To 14h 45
Pe 12,5h 23
La 8h 30
Su 7h 23

79,5h and 221 tournaments. Yeah... and that was "easy" week. Mixed my regular calendar (posted earlier) with LB tournaments, they didn't fare so well but +1k€ at them.

One week vacation, the last try... have got +3,4k€ from earlier weeks (about 50 hours total) so need about same kind of week at last one to make +20k€ total. Will sell (have already sold 30% in advance) 50% of Party 55-215 action to friends so won't take huge downswing so easily. Hurts my bottom line @ about 15%-20% in average, but it is necessary to keep my average buy-in around 50€.

Impressive value seeking, i like the calendar approach so you know what you are expecting to earn long term.

Im interested in your computer specs, do you need something with alot of power to multi site?

Cheers and gl for the rest

Another (last) grinding week started today. Very frustrating start, ended up 1-tabling PLO8 Omania and did go down 1/3 with 70+% of chips -> 3rd place in a one long super unlucky streak. 3rd also in small field 22r turbo, so roughly +500€ after counting shares but 0 points for leaderboard. And now 6-7 hours of sleep.

Well, it couldn't have gone worse. Party leaderboard got 0 cashes and I stopped regging around 9 pm EET, then decided to go play @ Unibet Open Series for leaderboard and what happens?

Unibet's subpar buggy software closes registration well before the end of late registration so that leaderboard pretty much died too.

Did look pretty nice and quite likely before today to reach and surpass 20k€ goal this week, now it's really hard even if I will grind 5x 10+ hour sessions with regular good-value schedule even with few new additions.
