Hi everyone,

If you're looking for a hardcore grinder aiming at going pro, you're in the wrong place.

I am..
I'm a simple 25 year old guy from the Netherlands, having a 9-to-5 job as a helpdesk employee. I work 32 hours a week, can pay my bills and am perfectly happy with my humble but steady income.

My history
I've been playing poker on and off for almost 10 years now.
I've had a period of grinding 50NL fullring cashgames, when they still had good traffic.
After that I've mainly focussed on MTT's while in college; having multiple 4 figure- and one 5 figure score (€14k) on my name.

So what now?
I haven't been that active in poker in the past few years. I've always kept on playing, but mainly low buy-ins while not studying. I've lost track of the grind.
At this point in life, I'm not dependent on making money in poker.
However, I would like to make a side income again with poker.
Due to my lack of study and keeping up with playing, I probably have some work to do.

I like having reasonable and achievable goals; I've been wanting to buy a new PC since my current one is pretty crap, and I think this is a perfect goal to try to achieve by playing poker. Of course I can just buy one from my salary, but that is no fun.

The computer with the specs I want will be around €1400, so this will be my goal.

I'm starting with a €275 bankroll.

I'll be starting off with 6-man SNG's.
I might throw in a MTT every now and then.
I've bought the tournament masterclass (apprentice) from RYE way back, so I will study when I have time for that and feel like doing it.
Eventually I would like to go to MTT's, but I think SNG's are the way to go for now to regain confidence and the feeling of playing poker again.

I hate multi tabling, so will usually only play 4 tables on average.
That, combined with the fact that I have a regular job, means I won't have a huge volume.

Side goals
I'm just going to throw some random side goals in here.
I know being healthy and sports will help my pokergame a lot.
I have a rowing machine at home and am failing at the moment to use it regularly so..
  • I want to row at least 3 times a week

Also, I haven't read for a long time. A couple of weeks ago I started reading, and I've noticed it makes me feel really relaxed.
Its definitely a good way to relax after a session or before going to sleep;
  • I want to finish my current book and keep reading other ones after it

Right now I'm reading ''The name of the wind'' by Patrick Rothfuss.
Great book if you're into middle age/Harry Potter themed books.

I guess thats it for now.

Thanks for reading!
