Hi Everyone,

My name is Chris I am 23 years old and I have been playing poker for several years. I am from the UK, but currently living in Northern California. I am a tennis player and coach and decided to put $50 on ignition and see how much I can run that up.

I plan on playing 5nl zoom (or whatever it is called on the ignition site) and some small buy in sngs to start.

Using this thread as some motivation to remain disciplined and to hopefully show others that it is possible to run up a small amount of money to some big profits in the USA.

Good luck to everyone at the tables.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Played a little more than I had previously expected over the first few days.

The first 2 days were pretty rough, with not much going on and quite a few unfortunate cooler situations. After 2 days I was about $15 down at one point.

Yesterday evening and today has gone much better where I managed to win 2 $2 jackpot sit n go's for $10 each and also managed to win quite a bit in some 5nl zone.

I have a hand catcher to input into my pokertracker database, however they only come through about 24 hours after the hand was actually played. Therefore I will likely post a graph once every Sunday or something like this.

Unfortunately, they do not offer any 10nl zone games and the next jump is 25nl zone. I will not be playing any of that for a while, but may decide to include some 10nl regular cash games in if I continue to do well at 5nl.

Starting bankroll $50.00
current bankroll $92.66

Day 3

Apologies for the second post in quick succession, but have to post again after a terrific evening session tonight. I played a mixture of 2 tables 5nl zone and 2 tables of 10nl regular cash games. I nearly got to 1000bb on one table of the zone, but alas, I got to about 920 and was sleepy and did not want to ruin it and lose a big pot. Managed to profit about $20 in the 10nl tables too.

A dream start to the thread, as after just 3 days I have more than tripled my starting bankroll. I believe that I am running quite far ahead of EV right now, so it is important not to get too confident in my ability to crush right now and remain discplined and steady at 5nl zone.

Current bankroll - $181.44

Hey man, good luck with this and congrats on the sick start.

I remember you having a few PGC threads over the years. Sounds like it’s a sick life you’re living!

What are the games and rakeback like on the US site compared to stars?

Thanks, appreciate that. Yeah I had a few over the years, it is quite fun to do sometimes. Yeah I am very fortunate and enjoying my time a lot right now. Taking a year off after graduating and then likely hitting school again next year.

I mean there seems to be pretty much no rakeback on bovada/ignition, you get points which can be redeemed for tournament tickets only, but I do not think it is great at all to be honest. However, from just a couple days of playing I can say that the overall level of the games are much lower than say that of pokerstars. And it is not like pokerstars rakeback is great or anything close to what it used to be when they had the VIP programs. But overall I would still prefer other sites rakeback system to this one as it is pretty lame.

Had a reasonably losing day yesterday, down about $25 or so. Mainly from losing a big pot in 10nl Queens vs Tens. Definitely was not hitting the flops as strongly as I was the last few days, so I think a little more closer to reality. It is Sunday so I will post a weekly graph (5 days). However this graph does not include some of yesterdays results. Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

I have played several sngs and super turbo tournaments over these days too. Around even in the sngs and down about $10 in tournaments.

Current bankroll = $155.36

Today I started back some of my tennis training and coaching and going back to my gym work. So do not think I will be able to put it quite as much volume as I have been the past week or so, but we will see. Also having to look for a new apartment and study for my examination next month for grad school.

Not much happened over the last couple of days, have been pretty break even at the cash games and some SNGS.

Current bankroll - $149.13

Actually been playing a reasonable amount over the past 3-4 days. However there was no real change to the bankroll. Still just been playing 5nl zone.

I played a couple more MTT's too, but am yet to cash in one of those so far.

2 days ago I got a royal flush wish was pretty cool! Not sure how many I have had in my lifetime probably around 15. And I received a whopping $2.50 bonus for getting that royal flush ha.

Playing a tennis tournament for the rest of the weekend. Not in the best shape right now after I had a nasty stomach flu when flying from London to Detroit. Then was sick again when I got to California. Been training at least 2-3 hours per day every day this week though, so going back in the right direction.

Current bankroll - $150.98

Not played in the past 3 days, because I was playing a tennis tournament. My tennis is going in the right direction. Won the doubles event and made the semi-finals in the singles losing in the third set tiebreak.

Here is a graph for my current progress at the cash games so far. It is pretty strange with long periods of break even and one sharp increase!

current bankroll - $151.24
