lol yea, it's a ludicrous claim. You can even play 100% regs with a nice hourly. Even if I say my true ev was only 1%, and I played 30g/hr (closer to 40g/hr I think though), that's like $30/hr at tables and $50/hr including rb. That's a very low estimate as well. If you have 1.5% ev and play 40g/hr actually making closer to $100/hr. At least with the rise of divisions there are clear examples to refute those people with now.

Decided gonna do weekly graphs I think with monthly summaries. Don't want to do them too often as samples can be really small. Trying to grind hard now though. Considering buying external monitor though. Feel like I can be pretty comfortable on 6 tables, but sometimes I think it's harder than it needs to be with a '17 screen. Once I go over 4 tables they just start popping up in random places so sometimes time up then lose half my stack cos I'm in sitout and don't realise. Will have to give that some consideration.

First week of sitting 100s and I've been on sick hot run Graph also has some 30s and 60s in though.



Although have not good ev this week I feel like my game v fish has been infinitely better than it has for past few months, being able to concentrate on fish game does wonders for it, less stupid calls and stupid bluffs that can work v regs but are disastrous v fish should really help.

Also decided to get a 27" monitor and the experience is so much better than a laptop. Instead of just completely forgetting what is happening on each table can actually keep track of each person as well have cap tables open and not just be confused even more when another table pops up. Feel like when I go up to 6 tables I'm actually playing that many to increase my profit, rather than before where I would just play that many for sake of it. Next step get a proper computer chair instead of current wooden dining room one and a proper mouse and I'll start to resemble a proper grinder

Month review:

Nothing much to complain about made 100s and made 10k at tables, also a few k rb as well, so very good month. Will be happy enough to even make half of that this month. Was away for a few days so have unfortunately not got to play much so far this month, will hopefully remedy that in coming days though. Also very pleased that I had my biggest downswing ever this month, yet still managed to make decent money and not let it affect my game at all.

This month I'm not entirely sure what my aims are. I think between now and September 6th I will hope to have around 7-8k games though across all stakes, with a few k hands of cap to go along with it. Will likely try some 200s as well, and see how I feel at them, with that in mind I don't really want to set any profit aims in mind cos I'll expect big swings so my results (ev and actual) will depend largely on how that goes.





yep, I remember, iirc you even recommended 2p2 to me. Those games were the reason I first signed up to ps (remember spending few hours before learning basics, lol), I always intended to try poker and seeing them acted as a catalyst to actually start. ty, Nice to go from that point to this

1st week of august:

Caught a nice little heater to start the month Unfortunately as mentioned earlier was a way for a few days so couldn't get the volume I wanted in. Decided though from 9th august till 9th of September gonna make my target 7k games. Will have a month of focusing fully on poker and then I need to start mixing in writing up my dissertation. Hopefully can keep up nice ev and then I can start looking at sitting 200s towards end of month and have a decent amount of profit to fall back on should it go badly.



I wasn't in for first 2.3k games of that graph. So first 2.3k games played against 100s, then I got in, then it has been mostly fish.

Was 2.22% ev in the end. Would need less tilt sessions to hit 2.5% ev

Belated 2nd week update:

Had a few computer issues and things not working so end up demolishing any hopes of my volume goals, meant a day off on one day and a bunch of smaller sessions on others

Another nice heater week though , took me to over 10k for month already. Came like 27th in SN freeroll for 2.8k already in 3rd week of month so hoping this trend continues. Decided to start playing a few 200s occasionally already as well, will start to put a bit of volume in there and see what I think. Everything is in working order now though so should be like at 1k games this week, and boosting that even further next week. Also I feel like my sessions can be better planned out, recently I've just been trying to put in long 4-5 hour sessions, not sure this is actually good though cos sometimes I have an hour that I could play, but don't cos I cant play long. If I get used to 1-2 hour sessions I should becomes better at making most of those free hours I sometimes pass up on because I want long sessions.

Are you trying to get into 200s, or just testing some of the guys, and see if you have edge on them? It seems 200s div are pretty much locked down now and need to beat them hard over a reasonable sample, or be BE (or lose only a bit EV roi) for a pretty large sample :-/

atm I think I'll just aim for 1k games or so each month there. Build up a sample on numerous different guys and then if I feel I'm doing good will really go for spot and just play people until they give up their vote. Yea it's hard but if you are good enough and grind hard enough no stake is ever locked down. Also hoping that more people start adding 200s in as well. If you only have a few people playing them it is really hard to put pressure on and even if you beat someone can still make you wait ages for a vote. If you have like 10+ triers they will give it far quicker as they need to figure out who they will lose most to and get rid of them. If more people do seem to start playing I'll just coincide my grinding hard with that.
