Hi fellow 2p2ers. Im long time PGC lurker and I’ve decided to finally start my own thread.

Im 26 year old and Im coming from middleish sized town from Serbia. Playing poker for living since October 2015th. Im sorry in advance about my poor English grammar. I have kind of degen backround so i ll say few (or much more) about that.

I currently play 20$ ABI on various poker networks, winamax and 888 most. Started at ABI 5 back in 2015th.

I've started playing live tournies a little bit more since they are so ***** easy but i dont have any mentionable binks yet.

I ll update this thread weakly at least and be able to follow whatever happens later on. I have a blog on one domestic site but its kind of dead these months so i wanted to get the real thing running here.

My actual goal was to have 70k+ year ( im on 25 ) but i had pretty bad downswing since january. This month was awesome and it was trigger for me to start this thread.

MTD - 3k from 888 missing, 15 days of volume went on the vacation.


Anyway, im fresh out of the makeup. I went on seaside twice this year. I refreshed myself completly and plan is to learn more,play more, and establish some healthy habbits until the end of the year.

Thats for that introduction part. Here comes TLDR :

My poker story started when I was 15 years old and poker was my first touch with real gambling. I’ve just got in high school and few older friends learned me basic rules of poker in an homegame (obv). Soon enough, it got into my blood and I was playing all possible games that were available to my wallet. Few months after Ive started playing roullete and sportsbetting and started to use drugs so that’s the moment were things went kind of south. I’ve read a few poker books and I had enough knowledge to beat those live games. Since im from Serbia,my parents were giving me around 15 euros weakly so that was my pocket money, and I started to make like 200 500 1000 euros constantly and I lived that double life,playing live games at night, going to school early took a lot from school obv. I was playing on regular basis with one high school teacher, school dentist (it’s a girl) and father of friend from my class. I was going out, drinking a lot. Started playing roullete more. Then more. Then more. One whole year I was winning at poker, than putting it in that roullete machine than made more from poker then burned it again on sportsbetting or roullete. Then police went in my favourite poker club and closed it (since that’s illegal here) and other games stopped running since guys were scared of that happening to them. There I was, 18 years old with some serious money habbits and no way to make it. I could start playing online. I could go further to play live. I could commit myself to the school/university. Naaah. Lets gambol.

Roullete, loan sharks, come back to the roullete,back to loan sharks. Then it hit u that u re little piece of ****. U have 0 income and u have whatever debt u have, u re prolonging it, lying to friends/family, constantly talking about that **** ends now etc, then u go in again. Neverending circle. Then happens that moment when u have to tell your father that u need XXXXeu for gambling debt and he’s making 500-1000 per month, haven’t played bingo in his life and u hit him with revelation that his son is little gambling piece of ****. Also, at time being my mother was in hospital so that wasn’t ideal moment for that to happen,but loan sharks started threatening. At first my dad kicked me out of the house, then under pressure from mother gave me money to pay that back and that was it. I stopped doing that **** for few months. Then again started to sportsbet and all u need is few wins to come back to the old story. And it happened again with loan sharks but this time I wasn’t going to go to my father. I knewed people so I started to sell weed to be able to pay my debts. That lasted for couple of months and I had to quit that ****.

I was always enough selfaware to see where that was going so when I finished highschool I didn’t wanted to go on college, I started working at my dads ( car workshop specialized in LPG setups on cars ). Ive discussed this with guys that I owed money so few months later I didn’t had any debt. And I am guy that always pays his debt for real. Like I cant sleep, I cant eat, I cant party, I cant think about anything other than solution. When I give my word on anything I ll do ANYTHING to respect it, that haven’t changed and hopefully will never change. There isn’t some great revelation story about how I stopped playing roullete, I was just more mature and that **** wasn’t interesting anymore. Anyway, next few years were meeh, I’ve learned myself on new lifestyle, started going on college next year ( I believe it was 2012th) , gave all exams in first semester then quit it on summer bcs I didn’t wanted to be some programmer geek sitting in front of his pc 10h+ a day ( and now I play online mtts ?!?!??!?!? ). That year was okay, I was working, got into the business, had more responsibilities.

But then ( that was 2013th ) I’ve started mixing in online poker again. Went to few live games, obv my edge was still good there since everything was the same ( lineups, stories, lowlife scumbags ). And then I found new interest. Rave. I mean I was listening to electronic music a lot but I weren’t taking any drugs beside weed . I just wanna show u my life schedule in 3+ months span there: 8am go to work at my dads, finish at 16. Sleep 1-2h, play online poker for 3-4h, its 22pm. Go out. Use speed,molly,cocaine,alchohol. Come back home at 6 7am. Wake up ( or not sleep at all more likely ) at half past 7 and go to work at 8. Then repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. It was ****ing insane and I was handling it pretty good. I was making like 500eu/m from poker for 3 hours playing and I 300 400 from my dads workshop for 8h+ shifts. There I decided to pursue poker a little bit harder, and that was in same time when friend of mine started online staking group. So I wanted to quit job at my fathers and start playing poker for more hours but he obv didn’t wanted to accept that and I went to live with a friend ( pekson on 2p2 ). I stopped using drugs regullary (occasionally sure).

Worst downswing ever (until then). I was playing 3.50rb 180s on stars and went 5k down and had 0 in my pocket and that was again ***** discusting. Why does every time things go south when I think that I have good thing running. Well I found out that later. I wasn’t good enough in poker. I worked hell out of icmizer and hrc to get my push fold game on top and I really had that, but any kind of postflop playing was dark as hell. And I also didn’t understood variance enough. It was messed up. Btw when I left peksons place and came back home I’ve hit an upswing and got out of makeup in like 4 days. Then staker wanted to get out and have cutted almost all guys that didn’t had makeup so that was it. Now I had some money but I wasn’t sure in that poker thing, so I decided to give it a break and relax that summer from anything. Relax is key word. Then I went to 4 music festivals and twice on seaside in 45 days and I was drugging the **** out of me, hustling a little bit so I could afford it. Had relationships with 3 girls and when I came back from last festival I was so ***** exhausted and depressed. I broke up with all of them, started playing poker again but my mindset was so ruined and this time I was completely unaware. I was also again working at my dads because I knew I needed connection to regular world. I fked up some friendly loan for my roll because I played tournaments that I wasn’t rolled for and that was it. Back to that repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat thing.

Few months later ( around October of 2015th) I took an 180 and I ll talk about that in my next update. I didn’t wanted to make this TLDR and I left out gazzilion interesting details bcs of that but it is went tldr mode. I ll probably go back on some of them at some point of this thread. Also, be aware that I’ve never wrote anything on English,but hopefully this might be a good read for you.

so, July recap :

played for 10 days, made 17k. i was in makeup for 6 months straight after crazy decembar and january where i made around 40k so I finally got my head out of the water



around 4k missing from the graph,and i qualified for wmx main event tmrw with about 40bbs so gl there.

there is pretty solid music festival going on from aug3-6th near my town so im gonna give it a break obv, BUT AFTER . . . . . . .



when I wake up tommorow I'll probably write next chapter from the OP.

so , part2 :

in period of july-october 2015th i've lived that insane imbalanced life where in 24 hours day I had 8 hours of work, 4 hours of poker, 8 hours of unhealthy activities which were always including alchohol/drugs, and 4 hours of sleep(??). I knew that some **** gotta go, it was too ***** much, body and brain malfunctions were more often.

anyway,few friends of mine were opening staking group (domestic one) and I was good choice in one hand as I'm young, I knew poker and I'm honest person, but on the other those drug/party issues were pretty big issues. we had a talk, they were cool persons with awesome winrates at the time, wanted to help in any way possible but I had to agree to cut off that cancerous part of my life which I wasn't sure if I could do at the moment . I sad i was gonna think about it for few days and answer them most honest possible.

that same night I went on party at friends apartment. it was pretty crazy party, i took some E , drank a lot etc, was pretty much fked up when friend said that he have some acid from some belgian festival that he went on. I never took an lsd before, didnt had many opportunities to be honest but I didnt wanted to take it as I was fked up too much. he knew that i was in crossroads moment so he was like 'please mate take a half, i guarantee that it wont be horror story or whatever blablabla, please take it' so i took it obv. I was anxious in waiting what the f will happen now, and other ****s that I took were getting out of the brain so when lsd started to kick in I said to friend I gotta go, he nodded and I went out (there were like 20 more ppl there). U know, just went out, no plan or whatever but that was the first thing i gotta do, i had to hit the street.

I didnt had hallucinations but maaaan every single thing on the street was so clear. i remember having smile on my face and walking up the main street of my city at 5am, crack of dawning when every ***** thing in my brain was starting to get classified and i could see where what road is going ( not that I saw a picture nor had hallucinations ) and I was so sure that getting full focus straight head professional in poker was the way. It was the only way. I never wanted to be a lowlife scumbag nor I was ever one but I was probably pretty close to that phase. I was placid as never before in my life, it was epiphany, revalation. Altough I knew I have a hell ton of work to do to get where I wanted to be, for the first time in my life I knew what I wanted to do. I was always good at poker but never pursued it as a man should pursue anything. so when that was cleared, i went to a bar, took 1 beer and went home, tought about zillion other ****s and i could see every single thing that have troubled me or was a problem from an angle of solution. next day i was other man ( disclaimer : this really happened ).

next day i called those potential stakers and told em ''learn me more poker and lets make some $$$$$$''. next day I started grinding 2.50 180s until i get fundamentals straight and man that was boring af

im back from lovefest, music festival thats located in small town vrnjacka banja. energy, people , drugs , everything was great but music wasnt my cup of tea. it's techno festival but names were way too soft for my taste + marcel dettman canceled few hours before his potential performance so it was meeh. i dont like taking photos when im fked up, this the is only one :

now,other than that, sun was scorching everybody(40°c avg temp) daily parties were on pool and they were awesome:



i chilled for two days and grinded morning shift today, had multiple semifinals (big22 , bb82, pko 6max 27) but couldnt win a hand when it mattered. session is + so thats always good. hot 16.5 itm - who knows.

in few days i will go to a friend who lives in Novi Sad, it's 2nd biggest and pbb most beautiful city in Serbia so im looking forward spending a week there, altough i ll be grinding most of the time and helping a friend with his game and downswing that he is in atm.



I cant predict how much will i play in august so i wont be setting any goals about that, i assume 450+ tournies will do it since today was my 2nd session in this month. i have to start setting some kind of goals because im pretty bad time organisator and procrastrinator so i ll try to hurt my pockets to see if that works. that being said, first 5 posters in this thread are getting a freeroll and 20$ each if i play less than 450 mtts in august.

i wanna start with some trainings but im too lazy for that atm so i ll try to practice 2 times a week at least and go harder in september ( im pretty big underdog to do this so i wont be setting any freeroll about that yet ).

i ll post update in next few days how's going

i've reviewed couple of sessions that i've played this month and i'm sad about how was I playing. it's mix of winners tilt and not being focused enough, which i will change starting for now.



so many stacks spewed for no apparent reason, like those bet bet bet lines vs french fishes on wmx which i know aint folding 2nd pair to that sheit, altough i've lost numerous hands where i have AK/AQ on AK(Q)7 and villain has 77. i will try hard to improve parts that i can improve and i ll update after tonights session.

i was at Hilandar monestery at Sveta Gora ( Mount Athos ) in Greece in march and i bought some books there which where conviniently sitting on my desk for 5 months now and i've read one of them in past few days ( first book in ~2 years ) and gotta say reading is good . im not like religious guy altough i've started exploring things in past few months, since my voyage on Sveta Gora was great by all means. talking with people that were there like me and talking with monks that live there about various things (material and spiritual ) improved my thinking and composure and after 2 days there i felt as a richer man. that place is paradise on earth.
