had a great day, overall, more than doubled my BR. if trying to make money online playing poker in the US, bovada>ACR, if main goal is to get better, ACR>bovada

I don't think I will be playing much on ACR anymore with all the success on Bovada.

BR: $2516

Overall, after some quick reflection, the only thing I have right now is gratitude. Very grateful for how far I have came since last Saturday. Last Saturday, I deposited $100 on Bovada.

My BR is now $2516
, making about half of it through sports betting and half through poker. Things are going great and I feel strongly it's because I have got back into a good workout routine and feel my best. Will post up more goals and results for the coming week later.

2 plays for tomorrow:

Northern Illinois -5 (7 units) - won't take anything worse than -6, hopefully drops to -4.5 by tomorrow morning. Will post what I lock it in at, Bovada doesn't post college lines overnight.

Bulls -7 (3 units) - won't take anything worse than -8. Bovada hasn't posted this line yet either. Will post tomorrow AM when I lock in lines.

For some reason bovada hasn't posted the NIU game yet, only MAC game they don't have posted. Hoping I can get it at -4, -5 is worst I will take for 7 units

Locked in NIU -5 (7 units) weird it took them so long to post this game...

Also need to make a small change to my unit structure after roll has changed significantly, and need to post goals for week, will do this stuff tonight when I get home from gym

another good night in sports wagering. 2-0 NIU and Bulls make the close covers.

Bulls -7 (W)

NIU -5 (W)

+9.1 units

Overall: 17-4 (+97.3 units)

Update to unit structure: From now on, I will bump my units up in increments of 500's instead of 100's.

IE - when BR is 2500-2999, 1 unit will always be 0.50% of 2500. Between 3000-3499, 1 unit will always be 0.50% of 3000.

Got a good workout, about to finish up the last 10 pages of Trading in the Zone, then will post some revised goals/updates.

Decided I am playing in a huge live event this Friday. Guy at work told me about it and I can't turn it down, will post more about it in a bit after reading.

alright, just finished Trading in the Zone and it's definitely one of my all time favorite trading books. Right up there with the Psychology of Trading by Steenbarger. Next book is Steenbarger's new book Trading Psychology 2.0. This one's a monster, 415 pages and thick so will take at least twice as long as Trading in the Zone. But look forward to reading it, enjoy Steenbarger's writing and outlook and the fact he has his PHD in psychology doesn't hurt.

Now it's time to talk about my yearly reading goal.

Yearly Reading Goal

Read at least 15 books.

Currently 2/15

-Think and Grow Rich (x) - This is the first time I read it front to cover. I listened to the audio book front to cover over and over again for a period when I commuted to an internship. Reading it this time, I got so much more out of it because of how deeply I understand how important our thoughts are and our conscious/subconscious minds.

-Trading in the Zone (x) - Awesome info. I would say this is the first book every trader should read. I wish I read it so much sooner in my trading career. I plan on making a write-up for this book because reading it once isn't enough and I need it to stick with me.

-Trading Psychology 2.0 - in progress

-Power of Your Subconscious Mind - I will read this again after I finish Trading Psychology 2.0. I read this for the first time in 2015 and it is my favorite book of all-time. Helped change my life for the better and gave me a complete understanding of how powerful our subconscious minds are and how important it is to control our thoughts.

-Master Key to Riches - Will most likely re-read this book again after reading it the first time in 2015. This is another Napoleon Hill book and I actually like it better than Think and Grow Rich.

3 more trading books, 5 more motivational books, 4 poker books (already have 2 that I started this year and am 2/3 done with them).

For the trading books, I really want to do summaries of the chapters I liked the most. I want to do this on Trading in the Zone. Also want to do it on Think and Grow Rich.

Updated Poker Goals

By the end of 2016, I want my bankroll to be $30,000. I want to be playing 5/10 live and the bigger live MTT's in the area. I want to final table at least 5 more big tournaments this year.

Stock Market / Trading Goals

My goal is to have $50,000 in my trading account by Aug 31, 2016. I have my plan and rules written down for the first time and will continue to work on them. I need to be more DISCIPLINED. Being disciplined is my biggest self improvement goal of 2016.

Health / Fitness Goals

I would like to get my body better than it's peak (pic I posted back about 4 pages ago). I want to be in the gym 4 times a week minimum, intermittent fast four times a week minimum. Mon-Thu will be my regular schedule, making any necessary adjustments when things come up. Everytime I hit my weekly workout/health goals, I will put an X to build a chain. So far, I have two links in the chain, feel so much better already and looking to put the third link in after this week. I plan on starting to take more supplements and get on a seriously hard circuit training plan after my fourth link in the chain.

Sports Wagering

Be disciplined, follow my unit structure. Want this to be the first year that I bet a full season of baseball from start to finish following my unit structure and plan. Want to make $10,000 this year from this.

Biggest Live MTT I have ever played in

So this Friday night, I will be playing in the first WSOP event of my poker career. Mega Millions MTT, $160 buyin, $100 add-on, so $260 all-in. $1 million GTD prize pool. Legit life changing money for me right now and I gotta go for it. I have faith and am confident I will run deep and good. First goal is to make it to day two (March 15th). Playing at the Bike in LA and excited for it.

very disappointed with the way I played $25 cash tonight. BR was up to $2630 after sports wagers came in, now ending night at $2555.

basically, I spewed away $80 in about 90 minutes playing PLO and zone NHL both $25.

Made some silly bluffs in zone, first time I have ever tried zone and I really didn't like it much, probably because I'm tired and spewed away $35 in a matter of like 30 mins.

Took a couple tough beats in PLO which I think opened the hatches to my spewiness. No excuse though, felt myself getting tired and wanted to make some back. Lost exactly 3 BI's in very short period of time.

I think another part of it was that I am well rolled now for $25 stakes and felt more free to make bluffs and play more loosely. Need to tighten back up, go fishing, don't bluff barely ever and be DISCIPLINED.

Overall, some tough lessons to learn, gave back most of the sports wagering profits for the day but still grew roll from $2516 to $2555. Learned some tough lessons, but still grew the roll a bit

Reading for this week

Before starting the beast of a book Trading Psychology 2.0, I decided I will finish reading Gus Hansen's book this week. I think it will be good to finish this book up and get back into Gus's head before playing in my first WSOP event. So weekly reading goal is to finish Gus's book by Friday. Which will complete my third book of the year that I started early Feb and didn't finish.

well, was wrong about the Magic, but the other 3 came in, so I eeked out a profitable night, even though I went 3-1. What a backdoor cover by the Blazers, wow, lol.

Overall, I'm not upset about the Magic bet, I felt really good about it, there was definitely steam going on the Magic, line moved from -2 to -4 and Bovada had the line locked for a bit. I regret not betting 5 units on the other 2 plays. It's because I wasn't feeling my greatest last night before I went to bed so I made small unit plays on my initial picks. I'm going to keep things mostly at 5 units or above for now because I am seeing things pretty clearly right now.

I am also going to try and cap NBA games that don't have lines posted overnight. I didn't see lines posted for the Blazers or Magic last night, would have been good opportunity to try and cap them.

Heat -2.5 (5 units) - hoping I can get it at 2

USC -2 (10 units) - Love USC here, they are on the bubble, UCLA has been playing terrible and doesn't really care anymore. USC should come out super motivated to dominate and make a deep run in the PAC 12 tourney to get into the big dance.

Put in a great session of PLO tonight. Up about 3 BI's in only about 90 mins.
