Hey man, havn’t been playing any poker since I’ve left, just enjoying the time off. Have about 2 weeks until I’m home and grinding again. Loving the holiday but also craving playing again. Planning on doing a big update when the trips finished

Post Trip Update

Hey guys,
I am finally back from my European holiday. To recap it all would take too long in this format. 1 coach, 18 countries, 30 people, 33 days and 10,000kms of Europe covered. The shear amount of places I went and things I saw is hard to comprehend let alone describe. A quick itinerary: London --> France --> Lyon --> Barcelona --> French Riviera (Monaco) --> Verona --> Venice --> Florence --> Rome --> Sorrento --> Athens --> Mykonos --> Albania --> Dubrovnik --> Montenegro --> Vienna --> Munich --> Lucerne --> Rhine Valley --> Amsterdam. It was an unforgettable experience and I met some amazing people along the way. Photos of some of the spots below.

As for poker, I am straight back into the swing of things tomorrow. I spent all day today getting my finances in order and mentally preparing for the grind again. I did fire up a cheeky 1 table of 200z last night and got up 5bi *fingers crossed*. I am off to QLD on the 25th this month for the WPT circuit, then to Melbourne for the VPC and to property hunt with the lads and then finally off to Sydney for my cousins wedding before being back home again. Pretty insane honestly but its just ****ing unreal that I am able to do all this stuff. This all said, I am extremely keen to get back on the grind and get a consistent schedule running again. Will be back to weekly posting again hopefully. Glgl on the grind!

Thanks man, for sure. Glad we got the chance to link up over there. 2 months on & forearms still locked up after bouldering, unable to grind in comfort..

It was man, pretty insane. Favourite cities were London, Munich and Vienna. Lived 15mins on the tube from central london so was easy to get around and there was always something going on. Munich had a hectic vibe with people surfing an artificial river, Friday knock off beers w/ beer pong and volleyball at this huge park along the river side and the beer halls were nutted. Vienna was just beautiful, clean and had a pretty cool theme park. Amsterdam was also super beautiful, as you can imagine everything was just very laid back and open-minded.

14th September --> 20th September

Poker Study
Not going to lie, I was way to excited to get volume in so no poker study this week.

Meditation
Had one really good session mid week for roughly 20 minutes but again, didnt really do anything productive this week besides volume.

Mobility
N/A

Weight
Havn't fully gotten back into my routine so diet and gym have not been in check. Hoping to fix this when I am finally back from my next month out.

Poker Earnings
$16,865.6 AUD ($11,410.5 USD). UGGGEEEE' welcome back week lfg. Biggest week of the year with a net 22bi + solid 20k hand volume aswell. Even though I was 7bi under EV I definitely cannot complain with distribution, ran really hot. Took me a few days to wipe the rust off I was making a few large call off mistakes but played much better towards the end of the week. Noticing how much of an edge I have over the pool especially in SRP and 3BP.

Week Recap
Amazing to come back to some heat and put some money in my pocket after burning through it in Europe. Was a bit degen with lifestyle outside of poker because I just wanted to get hands in. 150k goal looking extremely tough due to the time I had off but hopefully I keep coolering regs or ship a tourney at the WPT. I am off to QLD on Wednesday with Aaron, Skuz & Jez so I will try to keep the thread updated, hopefully with some out of line stories. Glgl at the tables.

$73,200.09/$150,000 AUD

Solid update! Trip looks like it was a blast! Wife and I are planning a euro trip some time in the near future - any tips on where to go/how to go about it to get the most out of the trip? Never been, outside of a brief trek to London.

Also grats on the stellar month thus far

Thanks man, the trip was amazing. Okay some general travelling advice for Europe would be to make sure that you have 2 international charging adaptors, bring a power board so you and your wife can charge things at the same time, pack way more underwear than you were expecting and bring a lightweight day bag that has zips so you feel confident carrying stuff around without fearing being pick pocketed (I never really felt this anyway). If you feel comfortable I would also suggest bringing a laptop to organise day events and accommodation whilst over there, was more difficult to do it on the phone but not a huge drama ofc. As for places to visit it depends, if you want beautiful landscape and cute old towns Switzerland seems like a must. Wasn't in Munich for long but the drinking scene was awesome and I would definitely go back there. Lastly I would definitely recommend doing Dubrovnik and booking a sail cruise around the islands! There is that much to do in Europe obviously so to get the most out of it I would advise making an itinerary in advance to book group tours and activities so you cover and see everything you would like to do.
Im sure there is more that im forgetting so if you are curious more specifically about some of the cities I went to feel to hmu

Beauty. I think an itinerary is definitely a must. There'll be so many places/things we want to see, that we'll need an action plan in advance. Switzerland sounds right up our alley. tyvm for the tips
