Hey man, nice results.

For meditating, you might want to try an app by Sam Harris (google him if you dont know him) called "Waking Up". You download it in to your phone and it has 10 minutes guided meditations based on mindfulness in wich he incrementaly puts more complex stuff each meditation.

Its designed to do one a day. First 5 meditations are free, no registration or anything needed, so no harm done. There also are lessons on stuff to reflect such as gratitude and others. After that, if you like it, I think its $10/month or something like that. Very easy +$ev decission.

It has worked really well for me, it gives you the structure and guidance which can be hard at the begining.

He also has a cool podtcast if you are interested, one of his latest interviews was with Yuval Noah Harari, he always has interesting people like that on.

Bonus: For keeping track of your goals, I use an app aswell called called "Strides", you can meassure all kind of goals, habits, projects, etc. It is really easy to use and setup, you put for example:

Studying Poker: then you chose how you want to track it; in terms of a daily practice, some average per date or over time, some % of completion, you can set up an alarm for reminders, chose which days you want to track, etc, etc. Then after you input by an easy 1 click each habit or goal, you have graphs, monthly calendar tracking the days you have done it or failed, averages over time, etc, etc. Really simple and clean looking and really cool for tracking goals.

So for example you set 300 minutes per week, then every day you click on the goal and put how many minutes you have done, it will tell you how many minutes you have so far, days you missed, whats your average per week and your total overtime, etc.....

I think its around $3-$5/ month.

Good luck

Hardly, only comfortable streaming 200z atm and prioritising grinding 4 tables over streaming right now

Weight
100.6kg --> 101.5kg. On the bulk again, 900g increase but assuming this will be slightly lower, weighed myself full so I think I probably gained around 500g.

Poker Earnings
$11,400.83 AUD ($8079.68 USD). Really busy week this week so I got a pathetic 11k hands in. Had a power outage Tuesday, had to drop my mum to the airport Wednesday, took Thursday off for my misso's birthday and spent today frantically getting ready for her party this Saturday. So overall the grind and all goals got interuppted this week. This said, I ran like god early in the week and managed to get up 16bi poggers.

Week Recap
Awful volume in almost all aspects because life just got really busy this week. Not mad at myself about it, sometimes things just come up. Looking to grind hard in the coming week to make up for it and finish out march with respectable volume.

2019 = $48,839.07/$150,000 AUD

2019 so far:

No interesting HH this week. Will trying to post some mid week before next update if I can. glgl

Mobility
Did one quick session of rolling and stretching mid week to take a break from gym because I was feeling super tight.

Weight
101.5kg --> 101.3kg. I think this will be an overall net gain of weight as I weighed myself full and later in the day so should be a small increase. Gym is continuing to go well. Updated PR's:

- Weighted dips 5x5 (10kg belt)
- Squat 115kg for 6reps
- Deadlift 125kg for 15reps
- Bench 87.5kg for 4reps
- Overhead press 60kg for 3reps
- Pull-ups 5x4 (Bodyweight)

Poker Earnings
$2,421.64 AUD ($1714.98 USD). Interesting week. I ran really average this week w/ a tonne of set-ups. I think I played fairly average also. Made a lot of light call downs which at the time seemed very +ev (and may well have been) but got shown the nuts alot so we tanked abit there. Logged 17k hands which is respectable but would have liked slightly more.

Week Recap
Still riding the momentum and smashing the 1/3 landmark of my financial goal which is amazing. Volume on the table was solid and my gym and diet are on point. Not so great is my neglect towards study. Im going to have to schedule a day off grinding next week purely for BvB stuff so I get in the lab and do it.

2019 = $51,260.71/$150,000 AUD

HH

H1) Sorry, I'm beat... how???

H2)

Mixing between X/R and X/C flop here. Think we have to range check turn at equilibrium. so easy x/c to protect range. Then riv never folding this combo, barring 88's and very very low freq AKo this is our best hand. I think villain's flop float is very close but probably neccesary w/ bdfd and multiple bdsd. As played flop I like his line turn and riv.

H3)

Not a hand im normally ever 4betting but had some relevant reads. Flop and turn seem standard so river is the only interesting street (although I can definitely get around checking my hand on flop). I think on this flop texture all of his overpairs and TPTK are jamming given spr and most should (w/ a club esp) and he will also jam all combo draws. So his call range contains alot of QJs KQs AQs AJs type floats. Then river when he doesn't all in (which is retarted) Just felt like this spot was being overbluffed and kept him honest.

Lets close out March strong! glgl everyone

Very nice thread,gl! You're >100kg and doing weighted dips, your bench press is low maybe you check your technique there.

R.E A2dd: Yeah not jamming with his combo is pretty bad.

cheers mate! Yeah I think bench will always be my weakest lift given poor mobility and genetics. Cant really get a massive arch when benching and I have extremely long arms which creates for a very large range of motion which is less than ideal for bench. But yeah my form is definitely not going to be optimal for the lift, so room for improvement.

your lifts are really solid
when i was lifting alot (following starting strength) and eating a ton my lifts were about the same. To get to next level its **** loads of calories. Im talking like 4k+ if you are not "fluffy" around the middle. I found whenever i increased calories with more carbs etc my squat, bench and dead increased alot, but press was always a really hard one.

Max 4k+ calories sounds a lot, dont know Scotty's height age but i dont think he needs more than 3,3k-3,5k.

His goal is to get strong and gain weight
Irrespective of height calories is the best way
Make sure they are decently clean and he will be fine
He could start at 4000 see how he goes for a few weeks then adjust

Thanks, yeah I am on 3.3k calories but starting to get pretty soft around the middle. Probably sitting around 20-22% BF. Lean around my legs, arms and upper back w/ most fat distibution on hips and waist. Dont wan't to add any more calories untill I can't put on weight anymore.

6"4 & 21 years old. Dont think ill need to go as high as 4k calories before the point at which I want to cut down and recomp before I bulk again. Thinking I might recomp before I go to Europe this year but not sure I will have put on enough muscle mass for a cut to be worth it.

What are your macros? You could also increase carbs therefore calories on lifting days which helps the lifting plus mix some hiit a few days per week to help with fat

I don't focus on carb and fat split as long as I am getting roughly 200g+ protein per day. The way I see it is HIIT is only going to help me burn more calories and improve cardiovascular health (obviously good) but I would rather just eat less which will have the same net energy effect on my body and cause me to be in less of a caloric surplus and store less fat. I don't really mind getting a bit chubby as long as I am building foundation muscle and strength.

Yeah that's a good idea actually. I don't really want to push my 1RM on every lift atm however but I will definitely record the 100kg bench. Unfortunately, speaking of injury, I snapped my back up real bad playing soccer on the weekend. It had been mega tight from the previous deadlift session and I felt (what I think is my quadratus laborum) tear so I have been struggling to walk the last 2 days and need to see a physio. So I probably wont be back in the gym for a week or 2 D:

Gotta be very careful with deadlift when the weight is getting higher
I hurt my back compromising form when adding too much weight
