------------

Update time. Poker has been going well i guess beating up 100nl, probably going to stay at 100 for the month and book a winning month since last was fpp pro/****.

Otherwise iv been drinking wayyy too much on weekends and feeling like ****e the next days and i have an exam tomorrow have been cramming so should be fine.

Cashed out 1k today buying a new laptop for grinding. Nothing fancy just a quad core 6gb 1tb basic thing since i have a fairly old one which is making all sorts of noise lately and lagging.

Can you play more then 6 tables on a laptop? Even 6 seem so small to me. I had to buy a 27" Ultra High Def monitor to hook my laptop up too. The small tables was tilting....

Thanks man, gl at the hsnl

--------

Last few days have been fairly stressful irl, some exams, being forced to move flats because landlord is bat**** crazy and keeps changing her mind if she wants to sell or keep renting it to me. Gives me notice couple months ago, then comes over last month saying its all good to stay another 6 months (i should of got this in writing ffs), then calls and says youve got two weeks according to the letter hence poker results a bit tilty i can def feel i wasnt playing A game yesterday but pulled it back today.

Also mixing 200nl in again, prob play more of it than 100nl. Was meant to stick to 100deep and book an easy month but i feel like im becoming braindead/bored/ not really improving and not really challenging anymore.

(missing $200ish changing laptops played without hem or saving HH like a donk for a while)

Havnt really played enough there and probably wont be since i dont think my roll can handle the swings at the moment. But it seemed fairly tough, a lot less fish than 200z and lots of much better regs.

                    Quick post on taking shots.

So my usual game is 100deep and 200nl where iv been for about 5 months now. I was thinking to get a new coach to help me transition to msnl since my roll is getting slightly bigger. Instead i decided to jump straight in 400/500z/600nl and see how it goes, find out how the games play differently, how regulars differ and try to pick up some things. I was willing to take a 5k shot all up. Ended up winning a a buyin or two overall.

After two full days of playing with people i consider much better than me i feel i learned a ton. I played with some big winners at 600 and 500z and the lines they took against me confused the **** out of me at first, c/c as pf raiser and c/r turns, shoving rivers as an example..also things like people limping buttons etc. Now i have something to study and see if i want to incorporate into my game. New perspectives etc

I also gained some more confidence in my, i didnt really feel out of place at 400nl, there a few regs there who are definitely better than me but overall lots are just normal regs or bumhunting scripters.

Money wise it was fun flipping for larger sums and barreling someone for 600 instead of 200. It numbs you out a bit which i feel will help me in spots where im unsure if i should fire away or not. (hopefully i dont start spewing 200$ stacks now)

Anyway, i thought about staying at msnl and seeing how it goes over a longer period with a 5k shot. I decided that when i have 25k (currently 22k) ill take a 5k shot at 400nl for longer hopefully and stay there. I wanted to book some easy months so i can withdraw a larger chunk to put towards summer travels but i can always fall back on ssnl if needed to and withdraw a chunk anyway. So ill push forward, hopefully the swongs wont be too brutal. Not sure how nice the graphs will look

                    ------------------------

Played tons of 200nl today, felt like i played very well overall. Finished +100ish after biggish swongs battling some regs.

gonna be playing mostly 100bb games too so we may play some, as long as you don't go moving up too quickly.

are you table selecting much or just joining tables/starting tables? i don't really see how you get in games, other than starting them or waiting for ages...

                    call flop with QT

fold to 3b with 99 (also call flop as played, unless you want to start calling majority of combos of TT/JJ vs triple on nearly every run out).
otherwise nh's. (prob should stop giving you strat advice if you start playing in same games as me though...) you're gna have to think of your own range a ton more at msnl (well i say that, apparently half the people dont at 400nl lol). goodluck
